This was our second stay at Sunway Lost World Hotel, and it was a much better experience than our first. We were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a Classic Triple room, and having the night park passes included for both nights was a huge plus.
However, there were a few areas that could be improved:
Amenities: The room was clean and the linens were fresh. Unfortunately, we had no hot water in our room for both nights. Despite being told it just ”takes time” to warm up, it never did. Taking a cold shower at 11:00 PM after the night park was a major downside.
Dining & Location: The hotel isn't very close to outside eateries. Room service ends around 10:00 PM, so if you return from the night park late, options are very limited. Since we visited during the Raya break, most nearby Muslim-owned shops were closed, requiring a drive to find food.
Breakfast: Day one was enjoyable, but day two was a bit chaotic due to the surge of guests. Food wasn't refilled quickly enough and finding a table was a challenge and a lot of food were not refilled as it finished.
Overall, a good stay for the park access, but the water temperature and breakfast logistics during peak periods need attention.
Stay for 1 nights at this hotel. My room at second floor with window facing seafront. Enjoy the scenic sea view very much. Hotel easy access to bank shop eateries and ferry terminal. Only one small problems. Room have a lot of mosquitoes. The front office provide with spray repellent. Hope the hotel will spray first before customer check-in.
Location: The hotel is quite far from the city and food areas. If you plan to dine outside, you will need to drive about 20 km to Sri Manjung, where AEON Mall, restaurants, and a
McDonald’s are located. The nearest petrol station is also in that area.
Cleanliness: Excellent. Everything is clean and well maintained.
Service: Top notch and very attentive. Especially during the breakfast buffet over the long weekend, the turnaround time was efficient and well managed.
Facilities: As advertised and meet expectations. The Room very spacious for two person. The Makan Kitchen is currently being expanded.
Overall: A very comfortable stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut.
My stay here was fantastic! The hotel environment was clean and tidy, and the room was comfortable and spacious with a great bed. The staff were incredibly friendly and patient, always ready to help with any questions. The location is also very convenient, with plenty of food and shopping options nearby. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied and will definitely choose to stay here again next time, and will recommend it to friends and family. Thank you for such a pleasant experience!
Very mixed experience.
Good location. Overall hotel condition is good.
Check-in and check out was fast and efficient, and the staff—including the manager—handled issues professionally. After a serious bathroom flooding problem with a strong sewage smell, we were moved to a clean room, given a late checkout, and a kind apology.
The restaurant was very disappointing. The shrimp and melon cocktail arrived without melon, with undercooked shrimp and an overwhelming amount of mayonnaise instead of the advertised dressing. After complain they gave us a plate of fresh melon and watermelon but still in a huge amout of mayonnaise. The pizza was also badly overcooked. They also offer to replace it but we were already fed up of waiting time and overall, the food felt careless and not up to standard.
As mentioned in many review bedsheets were grayish, stained, and we found hairs on them, making it uncomfortable to sleep.
Breakfast was simple but okay.
Overall: Very good staff response, but major improvements needed in food quality and linen condition.
The check-in process took a bit long to get the access card. The room itself was quite spacious, an apartment with one bedroom, and came with 4 bottles of mineral water. However, there was a slight musty smell in the room, likely due to the humidity.
A big plus for Anylodge is their buffet breakfast, which is provided according to the number of guests. The food was satisfying, offering a variety of dishes such as roti canai, nasi lemak, mee goreng, local pastries, cereal, and fruits.
This is a superb place to stay at teluk nipah, night time is happening and you can see so many choices of food and if u plan to hv trip during school holidays theres fireshow just straight ahead from this place. Theres atv nearby as well.
Strategic location with great customer service. However, I notice at late night whereby 2 out of 4 pillows dirty with unpleasant scent (saliva and sweat). I have to sleep with 1 pillow and struggle not to flip or put my hand beneath the only pillow due to the contact with dirty pillow. Good breakfast and service despite hotel room fee very cheap. I believe hotel room fee may increase after room maintenance in place (Seriously). It is a strategic location with great scenery view. Room maintenance floor by floor or room by room in align with booking capacity shall help to secure ‘returning customer’. Thank You

GGuest UserMarina Island Boat transfer easy, although I feel a little expensive. Coffee was cold, they had wrong check in information and I almost tripped on uneven block surface exiting building to boat. Check in completed at reception , with correction to booking. We were in a lower tropical garden villa, which is cheapest room. We were lucky to have part sea view and part back of pool view. Other lower villas in this category, not so good a view. This said, room was gorgeous, despite dead moth in sunken bath area. All the staff were fantastic and helpful. Chatted to some people in over water villas, who were disappointed you could not swim in sea from villa, nor enter sea from beach around jetty , due to sea urchins. On the other side of the Island is Emerrald bay. Absolutely stunning! Beautiful beach and sea to swim in. Lots of space for sun beds, but everyday ran out by 11am! Suggest they get some more! Forfeited scrumptious in all restaurants.

Aanna moorthyInitially, we encountered several challenges regarding the apartment's amenities. Specifically, the kitchen was inadequately equipped, furnishing only six glasses and an electric kettle accompanied by a single teaspoon. This was unexpected, particularly for a three-room apartment featuring empty cabinets. Essential items such as spoons, forks, and plates were notably absent. Furthermore, the television provided access to only one channel, a limitation a technician attributed to its older model.
Breakfast service was satisfactory, and the bedding was clean. Please note that bidets are not available in the restrooms. Guests booking these apartments through the hotel should be prepared for this.
XXC888It was an alright stay. Bathroom is really spacious, bedroom is weirdly shaped due to being a corner unit but acceptable. Basic bathroom amenities are there, limited TV channels. Lift and the entire of 2nd floor and room did smell of cigarettes when I checked in, and it was a bit off putting. I try not to look too much into the details such as peeling wallpapers and A/C that doesn't work as regularly as it should (sometimes cold, most of the time just OK despite no changes in the temperature settings).
Location was superb. It's a short drive to pretty much everywhere I need to access during my business trip, so that's a plus. For it's price, I can't complain much. But if I'm particular, topping up a little bit more could get me a more recently renovated hotel (C***tel) with equally accessible location.
GGuest UserDirect access to beach is the biggest advantage of staying here. But the room we had was very basic. It had some odor, possible from the toilet or old furniture. The breakfast had limited options, but it was expected for the price. The mattress wasn’t the most comfortable type. Overall, it reflects the price, and I will book again if there are significant improvements.
GGuest UserNice location. Smooth check in. Kids enjoyed the overal experience. Nearby to the beach as well. Cleanliness can be improved as the bed sheet have some stain on it.
