During our three-day stay at The St Ives Bay Hotel, we had a memorable and relaxing experience as a couple. Our beach-view room was an absolute delight, offering stunning vistas of the ocean right from our window. The gentle sounds of the waves crashing on the shore were incredibly soothing, making every morning and evening special. The room itself was spacious, providing more than enough room to unwind and truly feel at ease. We appreciated the hotel’s accessibility, with both bus and train services conveniently close by, making it easy for us to explore the charming town of St Ives and its beautiful surroundings. This convenience added an extra layer of ease to our holiday. On top of everything, the hotel’s rates were budget-friendly, offering excellent value for such a great location and amenities. For couples seeking a comfortable and scenic getaway, The St Ives Bay Hotel is a wonderful option that doesn’t break the bank. We’d love to return!

Great location and nice sea view right in the centre of town , short walk to the beach and shops , pubs etc . Stayed for one night , hotel was clean and got it for a great price , only thing we didn’t get a breakfast and was an extra £20 but Wetherspoons is just up the road for a breakfast . Would recommend this hotel if you want a cheap stay in Newquay 👍

Beautiful hotel grand entrance good history. Total let down on the bedroom the toilet and shower belongs in a 1960 caravan. Dirty carpet dirty walls. Dirty bed with ***** hair Certain didn’t fit the windows. I probably should have got an upgrade.

It was excellent. A lot of unreasonable bad reviews about this place but the cleaniness was fine, facilities more than adequate, and the staff was friendly. The on-site restaurant was excellent as well, again great staff, and the food produced looked like the chef took it seriously too. i.e. homemade tartar sauce, homemade sweet chilli sauce, fresh battered fish. Good beer selection on draught too.

We had 2 nights here, 11-13 July. We arrived late, between 10-11pm, and the counter staff was very friendly n helpful. We did not manage to get dinner due to train delays but the front staff was kind to inform us that we could purchase some cold sandwiches and he would make sandwiches for us. 😊 The room price includes breakfast for which we were glad. We enjoyed the breakfast thoroughly. The views from the hotel overlooking the St Ives beach is truly amazing. The hotel grounds were immaculately maintained. You must walk through their walled garden … it is well landscaped and very beautiful. It felt like walking in some professionally well curated botanical garden. 👍🏼

Excellent stay!! Must add that when we arrived our room wasn’t ready due to some confusion, however we were offered a free drink and an upgrade to their best room. We also had dinner there (carvery night) and the food was excellent, the beef was moist and cooked to perfection. Good room and comfortable bed; highly recommended, couldn’t fault them at all.

OOlly reviewsKing Arthur’s Arms is fabulously located next to a huge car park, yet on Fore Street, which is the Main Street running through Tintagel and about 3 minutes walk to the top of the hill leading down to English Heritage’s Tintagel Castle. On arrival we were checked in at the bar by Jess with a very friendly Cornish welcome. The smell of cleanliness emerged us as we walked up to our huge room with double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, easy chairs and huge bathroom with double walk in shower, sink, toilet and heated radiator. Huge room for Cornwall and immaculate. We chilled out and wandered along and around Tintagel Castle, then back to the pub for dinner. It’s an extensive menu with huge portions. There was no issue with pub noise and we slept well, waking for an extensive breakfast which commences with a choice of pastries and cereals, then Full English, teas, coffees and juices! We were then able to stay parked for a few hours after check out at 10am to wander around Tintagel. Really cannot recommend King Arthur’s Arms enough and particularly so to single parents with kids-safe, friendly and accommodating and shout out to Jess for super friendly service throughout!

RRip RipClassic English hotel, my room was recently updated and clean; strange not to have daily cleaning service. Small Single room with sea view was expected and very cosy. Appreciate the soft, thick new carpet. Also the single armchair was well used to enjoy sitting by window for the view. Bathroom was brand new, modern and didn’t blend into environment which is a shame. The water from shower was either too hot or cold; also the shower head could not be fixed into the rail so needed holding up. Restaurant meal was very nice, service was especially friendly and attentive. I would stay again in the near future but remind other guests considering that this is a 3 star hotel so you should appreciate that this is meeting the expectations of this grading. Overall daily service at hotel reception was well appreciated and always greeted when passing . Well done and thank you to the hotel staff!

Additionally, it's only about a 20-minute drive to Hayle Bay and around 25 minutes to St. Michael's Mount, making it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. AAna SakandelidzeAbsolutely loved our stay here! The location is perfect—right by the river and close to beautiful gardens and stunning views. We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant; the food was incredibly delicious and way beyond our expectations, especially for the price. It felt like a fancy dining experience without the hefty bill. We had requested a non-carpeted room, and were so happy they accommodated it. The view from our window was just gorgeous. Everything about the place was peaceful, and the facilities were top-notch—jacuzzi, warm indoor pool, saunas, and even options to try golf or tennis. Overall, such a great experience for the price. We both left feeling relaxed and grateful. Thank you!

GGuest UserI'm not really sure where to start reviewing the Harbour Hotel in Fowey - part of me doesn't want to publicise how fantastic this place is! We really enjoyed our stay - we really didn't want to leave! The helpful and friendly staff (Karina on our last evening at dinner was particularly brilliant), excellent food (we had a cream tea, breakfasts and dinner) and a superb room with a stunning view over the bay. The hotel's position in Fowey is fantastic - allowing short walks to the centre, the harbour and walks - as well as having those jaw-dropping views from the bar/restaurant. Thank you for your hospitality and we'd love to come back and stay again!

DDonna ChapsWe were lucky enough to get the harbour view room, absolutely breathtaking view 😍 room could do with a few touch ups here and there (mainly bathroom) but overall we were very very happy and thought it was good value for money. The staff were very friendly, we ate in the restaurant for our evening meal which was lovely and well priced. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was again lovely.

GGuest UserClean and tidy hotel. Friendly staff. We went for a special occassion but we just did not feel special at all no effort at all. They can not say we did not tell them it was on the booking form, I was asked when I phoned to book a reservation in the restaurant and again when we checked in. Came away feeling very flat. Food was well presented and tasted good. Had a lovely bottle of wine.
