The best room throughout my trip in Kyushu. Size wise, you have plenty of space to flat open 28” luggage. Bed wise, nice firmness. Cleanliness wise, outstanding. The room has functioning AC so you can always cater the temperature to your preference. They also prepare a pair of pajamas for you to use, so don’t worry about bringing too many clothes. Breakfast is aplenty, with a lot of seafood & vegetarian options. For Muslim travellers, halal restaurant is 1km away, and is accessible on foot, or Uber. They have onsen, and coin operated laundry facility. No complaint at all. Staff are so accommodating and attentive.

This JR hotel is one of the most unique of all as it has a rooftop onsen (19-21F). It comes with a 150yen per pax per night charge when you stay here. 21F is gender separated outdoor onsen! Was a surprise as we did not expect it to be so nice with the current weather. Parking is 1000yen per night with the car park at the mall side and is linked to the hotel reception by an elevator. Location is superb for non-driving too as it is within 1 min walk from the JR Oita station. We used the onsen for all the nights we stayed. Super good value.

If you want to take a hot spring bath, the hot spring is definitely worth it. The hotel has several indoor and outdoor hot springs, and the yukata in the room is made of high-quality materials. There is also a shrine that looks very simple and hidden behind the hotel, as well as a large bamboo forest, which you can go to in the morning. The only drawback is that it is a bit far from the central business district of the town, so you need to walk down the mountain or ask the hotel to call a car to rent a car

Kamenoi Hotel Beppu is conveniently located near the JR station and main bus terminal, making it easy to travel to various parts of the city, including Beppu's Jigoku, via public transport. The hotel features a hot spring bath, perfect for the adventurous traveller looking to relax after a day of exploration. The rooms are more spacious than the typical Japanese hotel, which is especially beneficial for those travelling with children or large luggage.

This Super Hotel thoroughly represents ESG and its night bar and breakfast make it an exceptional experience. Although the twin bed room is quite small and not friendly for 2 person luggage to be opened.

Excellent!  A very big thumb up! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Awesome onsen, grand lobby, incredible seaview, unlimited drinks, excellent staff and clean facilities and places. Those are my descriptions to this hotel. I have a very pleasant stay with parents (aged 80+) and highly recommend! Surprising me is the front desk, can speak fluent English, Korean, etc. Special thanks to Harada san 👍🏻, she did a great job and arrange a shuttle to drive us to the airport bus stop.  Drivers are very kind as well! Breakfast is good, value for money, lots of choices, Japanese style( like sashimi rice, mackerel, salmon for grilled) and Western(toast, salad) are very fresh. Highly recommended! For dinner, this is 90 mins semi buffet style…. Nice to try, due to the “semi” set does not offer choices, and we don’t eat beef, Huy (restaurant staff) nicely offer to change to pork (takes 10 minutes to prepare) and take another 5-6 min to cook.  To me, a bit rush to get other food to finish, especially you are accompanied with disabled parents! Anyway, thanks to him, we got special menu - seafood, for my second night dinner. Honestly, the price is expensive, not worth for people don’t drink alcohol. But if you are an alcoholic, there is wide range of choices. cocktail, chardonnay, etc are soso! One “cons” is the location is a bit off from Beppu JR, if u drive, highly recommended, my case is the car break down (Toyota shop really disappointing) especially u carry aged 80+ disabled parents.

The location is not close to Yufuin Station, which is more convenient for self-drivers. There are ample parking spaces and free parking. It takes about 5 minutes to get to the nearby supermarket, but It is a hotel with a sense of history but very clean. There is an additional fee of about $2xx Hong Kong dollars for children to stay. In addition, children's toothbrushes cost another 500 yen. I am speechless...but the dinner set menu is good and you can eat until you are full!

Bicycle rental and parking slot are available. Famous coffee shop is walking distance. Even there is no onsen here but u can go Hyotan onsen which is the biggest one for 15 mins, (onsen itself is 1480 jpy open til midnight) I’ll be back !

Although the room is small, it is very clean and comfortable, and the sound insulation is also good. It fully meets the needs of one person. There are indoor and outdoor hot spring baths on the second floor of the hotel. It is very comfortable to soak in the evening after walking during the day. The Japanese breakfast is delicious, and the service staff is polite, friendly and thoughtful. There are also two Western-style family restaurants next to the hotel, Jolly Pasta and Royal Host. The price is reasonable, and you can eat satisfactory at 130 per person. I will stay here again when I come to Beppu next time!

Bed sheets had water stains on them, but overall room was spotless and very nicely arranged. It was compact but comfortable. The toilet light was really dim, but that’s ok since I did my bathing in the various onsens around the town. The receptionists all spoke English and had helpful instructions printed out. Didn’t actually use the hotel public baths, maybe next time. The tv worked great and had no problems with the aircon either.

A perfect hotel. Very clean, sufficient carpark. Everything looks new and I particularly like the wood floor. Buffet dinner has a lot of food choices and the breakfast is very good too. See view room and the room is very big. Highly recommended and will come to stay again.

The location is really good. Even though the booking system says it doesn't have parking, they do have free parking in front of the hotel. The room is pretty clean, but the hotel itself is very old. The bathroom is not refurbished, so we didn't use it at all. We just used the sauna to take a shower. The hotspring bath at the sauna is way too hot. While I was there, I didn't see anyone can stay inside for more than a second.

Personal opinion as a Asian female solo traveler. Great location: around 5 mins walk from Beppu station. There are a lot of restaurants and 2 Lawson nearby. It's super easy to have access to food. Their lobby cafe also serves good coffee. Exterior: I heard they renovated the hotel recently, so the building and rooms and onsen all look new and classic. Room: clean, neat, a bit small but acceptable. Especially appreciate that there is an air purifier in the room without prior/extra request. Amenities facilities: You name it, they have it. More than just basic amenities. Especially appreciate ice maker on the 4th floor and self-service of skin products on the 1st floor, they have good sunscreen. Front desk: They don't speak much English, but they really try their best. Wonderful hospitality. Especially the elderly staffs. Super friendly and welcoming. Overall, it is more than a nice option for a budget hotel. If ever stop by Beppu in the future, i would be happy to stay again.

great experience This time I am traveling alone But I get very warm care from here There are a lot of cute touches everywhere in the hotel room + public areas The whole building is very beautifully designed Most of the walls are water molded But paired with wood and cute graffiti, the overall feeling is trendy and warm. There is no bathroom in the room, but there are three independent bathing areas on the first floor (you can bathe by yourself by locking the door) The front desk is very friendly and helpful It happened that the restaurant was closed for dinner and he recommended it to me + called to make a restaurant reservation. The recommended restaurants are also great! It's a pity not to have dinner But we had breakfast the next day, which was a Japanese buffet breakfast. Saury + white rice is really delicious! A family-run Japanese hot spring hotel, with few houses and a large open courtyard. It is located in a quiet place in the bustling city, very close to Jinlin Lake. It is particularly quiet at night. When you go out during the day, you will be surrounded by the lively Tangping Street, with various specialty shops everywhere. Although Jinlin Lake is not big, it is very distinctive. There are schools of blue fish in the lake, which are like elves. It looks magical and healing. This hot spring is great. The hotel has only eight rooms, and there are also eight independent indoor hot spring baths of various colors, so you can take a private bath at any time. You can get the key at the front desk at any time for one hour each time. There is also a relatively large open-air bath for men and women, and the hot spring water quality feels very good. The breakfast is a Japanese set meal, which is exquisite and beautiful, and the rice is full. The uncle at the front desk and the sister and aunt who serve can speak simple English, and there is no problem with basic communication. The town is relatively quiet at night. Most shops will close at 17:30. There is a relatively large supermarket but it closes at 7 o'clock. I didn't order dinner at the hotel. You can still find some restaurants in the alleys on the side of the hot spring street. There are not many open doors. There is always 711, which can also solve dinner in an emergency. There is a hand-made soba noodle shop right in front of the hotel. It tastes pure and authentic. It is closed at night so you must go there at noon. The taste and style of the food match the style of this hot spring hotel very well.

When you arrive at the bus stop in Yufuin, there is a Seven right in front, so I bought snacks and came to the accommodation. The room is a twin, and I came alone, so the size was just right. Even when I opened the window, I could see the outside facilities of Sendo. The bathroom has a sink and a toilet. I had to take a bath outside, and I couldn't use the family bath because I didn't have time. Check the family bath in advance and go! If you come to Yufuin, it's Yunotsubo Street!! There are many things to eat here. In particular, I recommend you try the cheesecake and bottled pudding. The golden croquette is delicious, and you should definitely try the grilled crab meat next to the main store. The sauce is as you like. When you get off at the accommodation and go down to the station, there is a yakiniku specialty restaurant called 'Wasaku'. It's really delicious. If you don't know, there is a chef (name tag'boss) in the kitchen. You can ask him for a recommendation. When you arrive at Yufuin, there are a lot of incense shops so there is a unique smell, but I didn't mind it!

First of all, I was very satisfied with the location! It was nice that it was close to Yufuin Station and the bus terminal haha. And the owner was friendly and could communicate in English, so I was guided well! Above all, I went because of the hot springs, but they said that the family baths can only be used if a “child” is included..! We couldn't use the family bath because it didn't meet the requirements, so we used the public bath. However, since the public bath is only used by ryokan guests, we were satisfied that our family could use it almost privately for two days. In particular, I brought a grandmother in her 80s with me and she really enjoyed it! I requested breakfast, and I was able to choose between 8:00 and 8:30, and it was a really neat and clean Japanese home-cooked meal! I stayed for two days and was satisfied with the different types of side dishes and drinks. It seemed like they paid a lot of attention to hygiene, and I felt like I was treated well, so it was a really nice place to stay. Next time I go to Yufuin, this is a place I want to stay again! ☺️

It is the best location if you follow the street all the way. There is no separate bathroom, so if possible, it would be better to get a room with an open-air bath to be satisfied. You can walk to the lake, tourist street, and 'Sim', famous for its idle pot rice, within a short distance. The town is not that big, but it is so cute that you lose track of time. Then, when it gets dark around 6 o'clock, all the surrounding shops close. Instead, they open early in the morning (around 8 o'clock) and because it gets dark early, you can see the spectacular view of the dark night filled with stars around 8 or 9 o'clock. It may be covered by clouds and water vapor, so it is not possible to see it all night. It is too bad to stay for one night. If the price doesn't go up too much, I think I will visit this place again as a satisfactory accommodation.

Four people stay, the experience is very good, there is a swimming pool, hot spring facilities are all complete (free to see online). The sanitation is one star because there will be some bugs on the ceiling of the outdoor pool in the morning and noon, but when I come back at night, I don’t know if the staff has come or flew away. Excellent location, just next to Oita JR station. Room is clean and well designed, bed is comfortable. However, the pillows are a bit too thin. Free Ramen serves at 9:30-11pm which is so good. Carpark is available onsite which costs ¥1500 per night but there are a few cheaper overnight carparks nearby hotel which are very convenient.

The hotel is in a great location, only a six-minute walk from Oita Station. There is a shopping street right next to the hotel, making it very convenient for dinner, late-night snacks or simple shopping. I returned home for the first time in a long while for my father's memorial service. It was close to the station and in the city center, so it was very convenient. I had stayed here before and found the amenities to be excellent and the drip coffee to be delicious, so I decided to stay again. The hotel staff were pleasant and explained things to me carefully, and I added breakfast, which was very delicious. I would like to stay here again the next time I return home.

The room is very small but the price is reasonable. The hotel is easy to find, a short walk from the station. In the bathroom there is soap, shampoo, conditioner, towel, hair dryer, called ready. But must check out before 10.00

At 8:00 pm, there is no waiter at the front desk, you have to wait for a round, and check out. The open-air hot spring is just a big bathtub, and the hot spring water is not too hot and a bit cold. The place is big enough, relatively old feeling, near the factory area, so there is no recommendation at night.
