3-Star Hotels in Oita Prefecture, Japan

The location is excellent. It is 5 minutes away from the exit of Beppu Station. It is very convenient to take a bus to Hell Hot Spring. It is not far from the sea. You can stroll around leisurely. The hotel's buffet breakfast is very rich. There is also late-night noodle in the evening. The taste is very good. After soaking in the hot spring, there is free ice cream. Children like it very much.

This JR hotel is one of the most unique of all as it has a rooftop onsen (19-21F). It comes with a 150yen per pax per night charge when you stay here. 21F is gender separated outdoor onsen! Was a surprise as we did not expect it to be so nice with the current weather. Parking is 1000yen per night with the car park at the mall side and is linked to the hotel reception by an elevator. Location is superb for non-driving too as it is within 1 min walk from the JR Oita station. We used the onsen for all the nights we stayed. Super good value.

The both the indoor and outdoor onsens for the ladies were superb, not sure about the men’s, but there’re two outdoor onsens for guys. Location is quite easy to find if you’re driving, might need to take a taxi otherwise as it’s not walkable. Food was just ok, but the staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

Location was relatively near places with food. There is free coffee provided to all hotel guests at the lobby. Room was on the smaller side.

Kamenoi Hotel Beppu is conveniently located near the JR station and main bus terminal, making it easy to travel to various parts of the city, including Beppu's Jigoku, via public transport. The hotel features a hot spring bath, perfect for the adventurous traveller looking to relax after a day of exploration. The rooms are more spacious than the typical Japanese hotel, which is especially beneficial for those travelling with children or large luggage.

Very nice well kept traditional ryokan. If you are expecting modern do not stay here. Hotels like these are older and have been around for many years but are well maintained. I love sleeping on tatami - I slept for 10 hours! Unfortunately I felt a bit dumbfounded when the dinner included is just ramen. On the trip.com photos there are two photos of meals and I assumed one was dinner and the other breakfast. Maybe this use to be the case but trip/ the hotel should specify better what is being served. Especially in small towns there aren’t many dinner options - there is an Aeon (supermarket) a short walk of course if you’d like a bento dinner instead. Also no wifi in the room. As an international traveler I had to up my esim data for the day. They don’t advertise wifi in the room - they have it in the lobby so it wouldn’t be hard to get an extender to the rooms. The onsen was nice however I found the outside onsen made a lot of noise- I’ve been to many onsen and this was the first that ever made noise from the filter so it wasn’t as relaxing as it could have been. Overall decent stay but probably wouldn’t go back

This Super Hotel thoroughly represents ESG and its night bar and breakfast make it an exceptional experience. Although the twin bed room is quite small and not friendly for 2 person luggage to be opened.

Excellent!  A very big thumb up! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Awesome onsen, grand lobby, incredible seaview, unlimited drinks, excellent staff and clean facilities and places. Those are my descriptions to this hotel. I have a very pleasant stay with parents (aged 80+) and highly recommend! Surprising me is the front desk, can speak fluent English, Korean, etc. Special thanks to Harada san 👍🏻, she did a great job and arrange a shuttle to drive us to the airport bus stop.  Drivers are very kind as well! Breakfast is good, value for money, lots of choices, Japanese style( like sashimi rice, mackerel, salmon for grilled) and Western(toast, salad) are very fresh. Highly recommended! For dinner, this is 90 mins semi buffet style…. Nice to try, due to the “semi” set does not offer choices, and we don’t eat beef, Huy (restaurant staff) nicely offer to change to pork (takes 10 minutes to prepare) and take another 5-6 min to cook.  To me, a bit rush to get other food to finish, especially you are accompanied with disabled parents! Anyway, thanks to him, we got special menu - seafood, for my second night dinner. Honestly, the price is expensive, not worth for people don’t drink alcohol. But if you are an alcoholic, there is wide range of choices. cocktail, chardonnay, etc are soso! One “cons” is the location is a bit off from Beppu JR, if u drive, highly recommended, my case is the car break down (Toyota shop really disappointing) especially u carry aged 80+ disabled parents.

There are indoor and outdoor hot spring baths on the second floor of the hotel. It is very comfortable to soak in the evening after walking during the day. The Japanese breakfast is delicious, and the service staff is polite, friendly and thoughtful. There are also two Western-style family restaurants next to the hotel, Jolly Pasta and Royal Host. The price is reasonable, and you can eat satisfactory at 130 per person. I will stay here again when I come to Beppu next time!

My friend and I stay at this hotel for 3nights.  The hotel is very clean and staff were friendly. We very enjoyed  onsen there. The hotel breakfast was pretty good but It would be more better if they change like typeA & typeB every single day. We had to have same breakfast for the first 2days.

The transportation is convenient, only a three-minute walk from Beppu Station. There are some restaurants nearby, so it is convenient to eat. The infinity pool on the roof is very good. If you come here in the summer, it will be very pleasant to sunbathe and swim. The water temperature is okay in the winter, but it is too cold to swim. The hot spring on the top floor is great. There is a hot spring pool with a view of the outdoors. It is very comfortable to soak in it, and you can also have a sauna. However, AMANEK Inn and AMANEK are not in the same building. You need to walk from the first floor to the main building in the open air, which is inconvenient if it rains.

Excellent stay, room is very spacious , breakfast is very sorted of Japanese options, onsen is really good and comfortable . The location is quite convenient just in front of the train station, less than 2 minutes on foot. Fully worth for families and solo travelers .

A fantastic hotel. The food was absolutely amazing and the service is really good. The onsen was wonderful in the evening and in the morning. I fully suggest a visit. The views are also very nice.

The facilities are very new. The hot spring scenery is beautiful. It was a perfect accommodation experience. The breakfast was also very rich and there were many choices. If I come to Beppu again in the future, I will still consider staying in this hotel

I’m so glad that this hotel had a renewal earlier this year. It looks very new and clean now. It also has a fantastic location — only a 3-minute walk from Beppu Station and it is surrounded by numerous shops and restaurants. The huge Beppu Don Quijote is only 10 minutes away by foot. Luggage can also be stored at the cloak room for free before check-in. The onsen and sauna was very clean too! I had a really comfortable stay at this hotel.

great experience This time I am traveling alone But I get very warm care from here There are a lot of cute touches everywhere in the hotel room + public areas The whole building is very beautifully designed Most of the walls are water molded But paired with wood and cute graffiti, the overall feeling is trendy and warm. There is no bathroom in the room, but there are three independent bathing areas on the first floor (you can bathe by yourself by locking the door) The front desk is very friendly and helpful It happened that the restaurant was closed for dinner and he recommended it to me + called to make a restaurant reservation. The recommended restaurants are also great! It's a pity not to have dinner But we had breakfast the next day, which was a Japanese buffet breakfast. Saury + white rice is really delicious! Overall I had a great experience

How cost-effective it is. Small business. There is a pick-up service after 3pm. We will take you to the station when you leave. There are only 6 rooms. Basically no one is using the public hot springs. You can go in at any time. It is no different from private ones. The meals are like family dishes. There are Mandarin-speaking work-study students. No need to worry about communication problems.

It was nice to be able to experience a traditional Japanese house and use the hot spring family bath, and dinner was chicken delivered from a nearby restaurant, which was light and suited our taste. Breakfast was simple, like Japanese home cooking. Early in the morning (before sunrise), we were able to go see the water mist of Kinrinko Lake, which is less than 5 minutes away, but it was too bad that we couldn't see the thick water mist because it was cold, but overall, I was satisfied with the one-night stay at Yufuin Onsen Village on this trip.

It's a few minutes' drive from Jinji Station and very close to Yunotsubo Road. It's about five minutes' walk and convenient for walking. It's about fifteen minutes' walk from Kinji Lake. The hotel has dinner at six o'clock and breakfast at eight o'clock. It seems a bit early. All the staff They are all South Asians, the service is good, they can speak English, there is a small hot spring in the room, and there are three hot springs outside for guests to use.

In terms of infrastructure, it is a small family hotel in a small rural area of ​​Japan. It is not very large. When we went there, it was the coldest season and there was a heavy snowfall that was rare in the past few years. It is indeed quite unique, but the hardware facilities are slightly poor. Only the room is warm, and the corridor and bathroom are too cold to bear. Both meals are good.

First of all, I was very satisfied with the location! It was nice that it was close to Yufuin Station and the bus terminal haha. And the owner was friendly and could communicate in English, so I was guided well! Above all, I went because of the hot springs, but they said that the family baths can only be used if a “child” is included..! We couldn't use the family bath because it didn't meet the requirements, so we used the public bath. However, since the public bath is only used by ryokan guests, we were satisfied that our family could use it almost privately for two days. In particular, I brought a grandmother in her 80s with me and she really enjoyed it! I requested breakfast, and I was able to choose between 8:00 and 8:30, and it was a really neat and clean Japanese home-cooked meal! I stayed for two days and was satisfied with the different types of side dishes and drinks. It seemed like they paid a lot of attention to hygiene, and I felt like I was treated well, so it was a really nice place to stay. Next time I go to Yufuin, this is a place I want to stay again! ☺️

The hotel is slightly over 1km from Kirin Lake and the shopping lane but it offers free bikes for use by guests and cycling to the attractions is a breeze from the hotel. In addition, the hotel offers booking for three of their onsen amenities - open air, semi open air and we xtra hot osen. Guest can book the preferred slot at one of the onsen location and by about 8pm, the hotel will allow guests to book any additional slots at any of their onsens. We managed to have slots for all three of the onsens, each was well maintained and provides you to have privacy of quiet onsens. There is a hotel lounge where you can have free flow of cold and old drinks too...

The hotel is in a great location, only a six-minute walk from Oita Station. There is a shopping street right next to the hotel, making it very convenient for dinner, late-night snacks or simple shopping. The point is that the hotel's breakfast is very delicious, with many options and a strong Japanese flavor. I highly recommend travelers staying in this hotel when visiting nearby.

Very nice hotel, very nice hotel, the room is very small, but it has everything. Japan's hygiene is a model for the world, all the rooms are very tidy, without a trace of dust.

Excellent location, just next to Oita JR station. Room is clean and well designed, bed is comfortable. However, the pillows are a bit too thin. Free Ramen serves at 9:30-11pm which is so good. Carpark is available onsite which costs ¥1500 per night but there are a few cheaper overnight carparks nearby hotel which are very convenient.

The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Oita JR Station. There is a commercial street along the way to Oita Station, which is very convenient for shopping and eating. There is a vending machine, ice machine and microwave on each floor of the hotel, which is very convenient! There are also many hot spring shops next to the hotel.

The hotel is located in an area near restaurants, shops and supermarket so it is very convenient. The parking is next to the hotel but limited lots and must pay a ¥1000 and not complimentary. Breakfast was good with a variety of selections.

I returned home for the first time in a long while for my father's memorial service. It was close to the station and in the city center, so it was very convenient. I had stayed here before and found the amenities to be excellent and the drip coffee to be delicious, so I decided to stay again. The hotel staff were pleasant and explained things to me carefully, and I added breakfast, which was very delicious. I would like to stay here again the next time I return home.

Although it is a hotel that has not been renovated for many years, it is very clean and can't be seen at all. The room was very clean, the facilities were a bit old, there was a sense of age, and the bed was very comfortable. The sound insulation is very good.

It was a stay during GW. In the morning, when the elevator was crowded, I couldn't get on even after 20 minutes, so I waited in front of the elevator. As a result, I asked the front desk and got off the emergency stairs. Is there a GW?

At 8:00 pm, there is no waiter at the front desk, you have to wait for a round, and check out. The open-air hot spring is just a big bathtub, and the hot spring water is not too hot and a bit cold. The place is big enough, relatively old feeling, near the factory area, so there is no recommendation at night.
