I was slightly disappointed by the hygiene as I found pieces of hair and stains on the bedding, although the front desk staff was quick to respond to my request with changing a new set of bedding sheets, I still found a small piece of hair after new set was changed. Besides from that, the location was great and hotel staff were friendly.

As a hostel, the cleanliness is good. But the kitchen area is really small for big groups of travellers.
Location wise, it is a little far from the city center. But for us, it only takes 20-25 minutes of walking. It is acceptable. The convenient thing is that we can depart the hostel and to the airport directly (usually it needs to transit at the Reykjavik terminal for airport shuttles).
friendly staff, the sauna and hot tub were clean and nice。。。。our room was perfect, but if you are picky with drinking water, bring your own to the room。the water from the tab is drinkable, but has a lot of sulfur in it and smells this way。
the breakfast was very good, different coffee, waffles, bread, porridge, fruits,。。。。
Lovely clean and spacious room. Nice little kitchen area with microwave to heat food.
Buffet breakfast was OK. Personally not to my taste, but that is only my opinion. The 16 year old with us loved the waffles with the choice of toppings!
The porridge which I do enjoy was good day 1 but very watery day 2. Choice of bread that could be toasted, margarine (Sorry I am a butter fan!), preserves, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, tomatoes etc.
Free coffee wasn't great - again I'm a coffee snob and like a good cup of filter coffee. I did notice there was coffee to buy.
The room was great and the staff very helpful. We were able to park right outside our room.
Good location for Reykjavik by car, Thingvellir National Park etc. We travelled from here to both and also to Snaefellsnes Peninsula, which was worth the drive. Also we visited Rekyholt, Barnafoss and Hraunfossar waterfalls, Deildartunguhver Thermal Spring - try the tomato soup!

Facilities: It is a family hotel with kitchen facilities, bathroom, and radiator to dry clothes quickly
Sanitation: Clean and sanitary, good
Environment: Close to Iceland bus station, you can walk there, close to the cathedral, and close to the beach
Service: The owner of the family hotel is serious, enthusiastic and easy to talk to. He recommended the hot springs to the locals, which is very good. I went there twice

The staff of the Hostel are very responsible to solve problems for the guests. There are washing machines and dryers, and the charges are reasonable. ISK2000 is cheaper than some hostels, but the location is a bit far away from the city, and it may be inconvenient for those without a car. There is a very comfortable common area. There is also a hairdryer in the common area, so you don't have to worry about making noise to other guests at night.

Free parking is available in the city, and this hotel is very cost-effective. It is not far from anywhere. Of course, Lei City is very small. There were many people at breakfast, but it should be considered a standard Western breakfast.

Clean and spacious. Breakfast was great. Friendly and helpful staff when we arrived in Iceland on day 1, answering all our queries. Location was central and easy to access. Glad they offered free parking too.
GGuest UserLocated in downtown Reykjavik, it is convenient for travel and has a good surrounding environment. However, it is a self-service hotel with no front desk and you have to contact by phone, which is very troublesome if you don't have good language skills. The breakfast is OK, rich and purely Western. Attached are photos of the surrounding environment.

SStefan-AusI can absolutely sympathise with people who struggle to get in and check in to this hotel.
When you book through a 3rd party app, you do not receive your room number or entry code. The check-in process is then an adventure of trying to shout into a tablet near the front door, for a call that lasts maximum 2 minutes before it disconnects and you have to try again.
The layout is… odd… to say the least, but if you follow the signs you can eventually end up at your room (if you find some of the doors that work, not all do).
The maintenance person who broke into our room while we were out forgot to lock the door, so we were at risk of all of our things being stolen, which wasn’t ideal.
The room itself was nice, location is good and as long as you don’t need anything, you are getting what you pay for.
GGuest UserRoom size facilities are very good
Service is very good

The location is slightly biased, but the nearby hotel is very close. The bus is also convenient to the airport.

GGuest UserSince I booked 4 nights, I have a good discount. It is a pretty interesting accommodation, something in between an Airbnb (self-check-in and healthy Skyr breakfast) and a hotel (clean and comfortable beds). The color of the renovation also fits well into Iceland. The washroom has a heated floor, which is nice in winter. They also have blackout curtains and I can see how it can be helpful in the summer when there is no darkness.
There is also a bus stop right downstairs which is very convenient for us to get to downtown. You just need to download the public transport app (Straeto/Klappid), which allows you to buy bus tickets with your credit card and scan the QR code on the bus.
Mmo_moeyThe hotel is in a good location, the room style is nice, the hygiene is good, and the attitude of the hotel staff is very good. If I have the opportunity to travel to Iceland again, I will stay here again!
AAnonymous UserThe apartment is located very close to the city centre so walking into the town to go shopping and drinking is very easy with buses also within walking distance.
Honestly the walls are quite thin as you can hear people walking into the apartment from the front door into the neighbouring apartments.
Me and my partner had a very comfortable 5 nights there as the heating is very strong the shower is nice and warm, and there is enough Delf and cutlery for about 4-6 people if necessary.
For it's affordable price given its location so close to the centre I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a nice spot to sleep on your trip to Iceland
