Lovely hotel directly at the river. Beautiful balcony for breakfast and restaurant food, another terrace directly at the river for relaxing and reading. Rooms are spacious and clean. Walls not too thick though. Stuff is super friendly and welcoming. Free airport/train station shuttle and shuttle to the city center.

I recently stayed at Choasis in Luang Prabang, and it was truly fantastic. The hotel is brand new and the quality of everything – from the rooms to the decor – was top-notch.
Located in a very peaceful part of the city, it’s the perfect place to unwind and relax. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always making sure I had everything I needed.
Francis, the manager, was amazing and went out of his way to make my stay memorable. Breakfast each morning was delicious, with plenty of options, and the food from the restaurant was incredible – the Thai chef really knows how to create great flavors. I highly recommend Choasis to anyone visiting Luang Prabang!
Serene and peaceful environment, with nice Christmas decorations. Very helpful staff, who replied emails promptly. There is a free shuttle bus which you can take to town. Good spread of buffet. Room is very clean too. Early check in was made possible too!
What impressed me most about this trip to Luang Prabang, Laos, was that I stayed in a very warm hotel. The owner personally picked me up at the train station, upgraded the room type, and asked the driver to take me to the foot of Mount Phousi, up the mountain from the Nam Khan River, and down the mountain from the night market, giving me a complete tour of the entire Mount Phousi. He also introduced how to give alms and visit the morning market in the morning. When I left, he asked the driver to take me to the train station and bought the ticket for me in advance. It was so touching. It seems that I will come to Luang Prabang again next time and introduce it to my friends!!!
My 4 night stay at The Grand Luang Prabang was excellent! The hotel is beautiful. It was a former palace during colonial times and I loved the plentiful lily pads, lotus flowers, and dok champa trees. The staff were also truly incredible. While the hotel is a bit far from downtown Luang Prabang, they were always willing to drive me there for dinner or to explore the night market, and it was really appreciated. If you want to have a special stay at a truly unique hotel, book with The Grand Luang Prabang, it will really add to your overall experience.

Located in the old town between the Mekong River and the Nam Khan River, it is within walking distance of major tourist attractions such as Wat Xieng Thong, Royal Palace Museum, Mount Phousi, and the Night Market.
Bicycle rental is free.
There is a hotel app, and if you download it, you can request amenities and cleaning from the app.
I downloaded it, but in the end I never used it.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable.
The TV was a smart TV.
There were oranges and longan as welcome fruits.
There was a safety deposit box.
In addition to a coffee maker, there were also tea bags.
Snacks were charged.
I think they said that one soft drink and one alcoholic drink were free in the refrigerator.
Maybe it was one bottle per night.
When I took a shower, the toilet was flooded, but there were rubber sandals.
When I checked in, I was able to choose my favorite soap, so I chose lemongrass.
There were not many guests staying at the first night's breakfast buffet.
The second night was a buffet.
The food was very delicious.
It was a comfortable stay and well worth the price.
Our stay had a lot of high points and a lot of low points.
Starting with the high points, the grounds and room were incredible. Our experience at the spa was one of the best we’ve had. The cocktails and Laos-style burger we had for lunch one day were phenomenal. The staff were charming and very accommodating.
However, there were a few aspects that were far below the experience expected of a 5 star hotel. First, cocktail service around the pool was abysmal. On almost every occasion we had to go searching for a staff member to take our order, and then the cocktails more often than not took more than half an hour to arrive. This is despite the fact that we seemed to be the only people ordering F&B at that time, i.e. they were not busy at all.
Second, the breakfast was a disappointment every day - we were told we could order eggs or noodles, and had to repeatedly press the staff to find out what type of eggs and noodles, and we only discovered on the last day that there was a menu with additional options. We ordered poached eggs on toast, and the eggs had not been drained of excess liquid, and the bread was entirely soaked through. An order of waffles took over an hour to come out - first it was delivered as a pancakes, and then they just forgot about it despite repeated follow ups. The “local” Laos options lacked flavor - very little of the herbs and spice that makes Laos food great. I think this and the pool service issue are primarily the result of a lack of training and instruction for staff - they were clearly doing their best, but did not know what to do.
Third, the pool area needs a lot more spent on maintenance. The decking is cracking and falling apart. The mosaic tiles in the pool are falling apart, A LOT of the tiles are missing, and I got a very large laceration on my forearm from the sharp edge of a tile sticking out. If this pool were in a western jurisdiction, it would not meet health and safety standards.
Fourth, the gym was not worth visiting if you want to lift weights. Possibly the worst weights offering I’ve seen for a hotel of that price and with that much space.
We want to reiterate how great and enthusiastic the staff were. I think this is primarily a management oversight, training, and maintenance capex issue.

Say goodbye to Siem Reap, fly to Luang Prabang, and unlock a new country: Laos🇱🇦
Explore Laos, ”Buddha” is undoubtedly a key word. Buddhism has existed and developed on this land long before the establishment of the Lancang Kingdom. After 1353, King Faang, who unified Laos, introduced Theravada Buddhism from Cambodia and made Buddhism the state religion, ushering in a vigorous era of Buddhist development.
The ancient city of Luang Prabang, a world heritage site, is the birthplace of Theravada Buddhism in Laos. After thousands of years, Buddhism has left a deep imprint on this city.
Avani+ in Luang Prabang is a two-story luxury hotel with 53 modern classic rooms, inspired by the traditional Laotian and French colonial architecture in the town. The history of the venue dates back to 1941, when it was a French officer's dormitory, and was converted into the Phu Si Hotel by the Lao government in 1961.
Aman founder Adrian Zecha is particularly fond of Luang Prabang. He feels that Jakarta, Singapore and Hong Kong, where he has lived, are becoming more and more fast-paced and modern, and only Luang Prabang gives him the feeling of living in Indonesia as a child. In addition to Amantaka and his private residence, the first hotel of the new brand Azerai was also opened in Luang Prabang in 2017. It is the predecessor of Avani+, so Avani+ is known as the Little Aman.
Good environment, clean and quiet, pure French villa, white corridor, wooden furniture, clean bathroom, definitely worth the trip. The only regret is that there may be too few people staying. Breakfast is not a buffet and the Asian breakfast is terrible. The Western breakfast is still very good.
Charming resort stay that’s a 5-min tuktuk drive from the main city area, next to a old French bridge. Room and facilities are both superb -loved the decor as well as the clean swimming pool. Breakfast tasted great.
Would recommend any families/couples/solo travelers wanting a relaxing and serene stay.

KkangcpFacilities: The hotel facilities are relatively complete, with free laundry, gym, tea table, chess table, and complete toiletries in the room, basically in accordance with domestic standards;
Sanitation: The room is relatively clean and cleaned in time every day;
Environment: The layout of the whole hotel is good. The hotel lobby is in front and the swimming pool is behind the lobby. It is good for swimming or playing with children. There are two-story accommodation rooms on both sides of the swimming pool with balconies. The room area is generally large. I like it very much.
Service: The boss is a fellow Yunnan compatriot. The service is warm and thoughtful. There will be warm reminders for accommodation after booking the hotel. Going to the hotel is simple and clear. There are also airport pick-up or drop-off services. We went to the hotel according to the boss's instructions at the time. We were dropped off at the station on the return trip. It is very convenient to go to Yangren Street. There are cars to pick up at any time, less than 10 minutes by car.
A one-day tour (for 2 people) is provided for a two-night stay: This special project is very good, including the visit to the West Falls, the Grand Palace, etc. When you come back from the waterfall, you can drink rice field coffee and eat Laotian specialties. Of course, you have to pay for your own meals. The food the boss took us to eat was delicious and cheap, very comfortable. In the morning, we went to participate in alms and visit the night market. The boss also accompanied us throughout the whole process. The whole process was like a private tour guide. The arrangement was very thoughtful, including boat rides and elephant rides. The boss can arrange thoughtfully, of course, the cost is at your own expense.
Overall, I am very satisfied and comfortable.
GGuest UserI have been to Labang many times and saw the hotel when it opened. I decided to try it out and was very satisfied with the overall experience. The environment is very good, especially the swimming pool. I will definitely stay here again next time I come.

Amazing
GGuest UserThe room is very good, it's a newly built hotel, and most importantly, the water is clean. Labang Hotel should be the only hotel with a water purifier. The water is more comfortable than other hotels. The water in Laos is yellow and gloomy. Here, it's clean and the environment is next to the river, not bad 😌
GGuest UserThe environment is good. It is the third-ranked luxury hotel. The service attitude is much better than that of Luang Prabang Hotel. The service awareness is very strong. Even if the hotel can be reached within two steps, a sightseeing bus will be arranged. There are not many types of self-service breakfast, but the taste is good.
Sitting on the bed, you can see the scenery outside the window. The weather has been cold recently, so a small sun is provided for heating.
There are two shortcomings. One is that the pillow is a bit soft and not very comfortable. The other is the hygiene of the toilet and bedding. There are some flaws. Overall, it is great.
