5-Star Hotels in Luang Prabang Province, Laos

The environment of the hotel is very, very quiet and comfortable. After all, it was just opened in 2024, and everything is very new. The biggest experience is that the local brother at the front desk will very patiently answer all questions, including the Guangxi Waterfall, Elephant Camp, Buffalo Visit, Rice Field Coffee Route and help us book a chartered car to tell the driver where we want to go~ The table in the room is old-fashioned furniture, but it is very clean. It is very comfortable to return to the hotel every night and sit in the small courtyard of the room to drink tea and wine~ Breakfast also has meals that are very suitable for Chinese stomachs. Although there are not many categories, they are very delicious~ It takes no more than 10 minutes to walk to Foreigner Street, food stalls, Internet celebrity bars, the Grand Palace, and Mount Phu Si, and even if you want to go to the Fabric Village, the hotel also has free bicycles to ride. I rode a bicycle to the Fabric Village (10 minutes) and secret pizza. There is a donation at the door of the hotel, so you can get up half an hour later and don’t have to walk to the main street. It’s so happy.

Great hotel. Staff are super friendly and good location. Shuttle is also very useful to the market. Clean rooms and nice pool. Good workout facilities and good food.

This is my second visit after visiting with my family about a month ago. I remembered the warm experience I had at this hotel last time, so I came back again. There must be many guests coming in and out of the hotel, and I was touched that everyone I met recognized me and said “Welcome back.” I am very grateful to Yong, Lith, Muhn, Mone, and the two female hoteliers who were in charge of dinner on 5/25 for their hospitality. (I should have asked everyone's names, but it's too bad I didn't.) And the information about becoming a monk during the morning Takbat. I am also sincerely grateful to the male hotelier who kindly and in detail explained about the Ina Lao people. I think I will visit Laos again on my last trip before returning to my home country because of the warm memories I had in Avani. I look forward to seeing you again.

Our stay had a lot of high points and a lot of low points. Starting with the high points, the grounds and room were incredible. Our experience at the spa was one of the best we’ve had. The cocktails and Laos-style burger we had for lunch one day were phenomenal. The staff were charming and very accommodating. However, there were a few aspects that were far below the experience expected of a 5 star hotel. First, cocktail service around the pool was abysmal. On almost every occasion we had to go searching for a staff member to take our order, and then the cocktails more often than not took more than half an hour to arrive. This is despite the fact that we seemed to be the only people ordering F&B at that time, i.e. they were not busy at all. Second, the breakfast was a disappointment every day - we were told we could order eggs or noodles, and had to repeatedly press the staff to find out what type of eggs and noodles, and we only discovered on the last day that there was a menu with additional options. We ordered poached eggs on toast, and the eggs had not been drained of excess liquid, and the bread was entirely soaked through. An order of waffles took over an hour to come out - first it was delivered as a pancakes, and then they just forgot about it despite repeated follow ups. The “local” Laos options lacked flavor - very little of the herbs and spice that makes Laos food great. I think this and the pool service issue are primarily the result of a lack of training and instruction for staff - they were clearly doing their best, but did not know what to do. Third, the pool area needs a lot more spent on maintenance. The decking is cracking and falling apart. The mosaic tiles in the pool are falling apart, A LOT of the tiles are missing, and I got a very large laceration on my forearm from the sharp edge of a tile sticking out. If this pool were in a western jurisdiction, it would not meet health and safety standards. Fourth, the gym was not worth visiting if you want to lift weights. Possibly the worst weights offering I’ve seen for a hotel of that price and with that much space. We want to reiterate how great and enthusiastic the staff were. I think this is primarily a management oversight, training, and maintenance capex issue.

Even if the hotel can be reached within two steps, a sightseeing bus will be arranged. There are not many types of self-service breakfast, but the taste is good. Sitting on the bed, you can see the scenery outside the window. The weather has been cold recently, so a small sun is provided for heating. There are two shortcomings. One is that the pillow is a bit soft and not very comfortable. The other is the hygiene of the toilet and bedding. There are some flaws. Overall, it is great.

He arranged a free one-day tour with full explanations to give us a deeper understanding of the Lao people. The recommended restaurant has delicious food. Waking up early to bask in the warmth of the swimming pool with a hint of coolness in the morning, looking at the green rice fields, the mist-shrouded mountains in the distance, the clear blue sky and white clouds, I felt that there was a vivid memory on my life list. The bed and esp. pillows are super comfy..i can go to sleep so quickly... Nice hospility from receptionist,willing to help... and also from servers... Good size pool.. good deal during this covid time ..not in the main town, so its quiet but walkable to town if you are a walker..or there are free bikes to borrow...

Vientiane, Vangvieng, Luang Prabang, we stayed in Vientiane for 8 days. I am most satisfied with this hotel. The decoration and hardware of the new hotel are very good. It is opened by a Chinese and it is very convenient for consultation. The boss, Ah Hui, was very nice. He picked us up and dropped us off, and even sent us a car to take us back to the high-speed rail station. If you have anything you don’t know, just ask him. I will only comment if I am extremely dissatisfied or extremely satisfied. There is such a friendly Chinese hotel in Laos. A five-star hotel with a retro style. The building is a very distinctive French colonial style. The breakfast is great. The facilities are a little old, but it's not a big problem. It's very clean. The service staff speaks fluent English and is very warm and polite. The location is also quite convenient. It takes 15 minutes to walk to the center. There are also places to rent motorcycles nearby. It is worth recommending!
