Guest UserIt is suitable for family. We choose tatami room, it’s a bit old. But we are ok as the price is good. Overall value for money. It come with lounge access for afternoon tea time and then happy hours at night with alcohol. The onsen is great! I will love to stay again!

Guest UserThe location was superb as it's just a few steps away from the underground entrance to the metro. There's also a 24Hr supermarket just minutes walk from the hotel above ground or if it's raining you can take the metro underground walkway which will also get you right to the entrance of supermarket. There are a few drug stores nearby (for medicine / cosmetics) and some open till 9pm or even midnight. It's only a very short walk to get to Canal city shopping area which has an array of shops and dinning options.
We stayed for 5 nights and breakfast was included in our room rate and it was very good with a decent amount of choices (we ended up eating there 4/5 mornings). Although the dinning area was not very big so if you're there during peak hours there could be a bit of a wait.
The room was a standard 'Dormy' room that you'd expect in almost any other Dormy Inn but for this particular hotel we felt the cleaning needs a bit of work. We have a habit of wiping down the shelves / tables before placing our things and even after three rounds of wiping with wet cloth / tissue it's still grey which shook us a bit.

YuyuyuThe room was spacious, and the private bath was excellent. Perhaps due to the high humidity from the long-term use of the private bath, the room had a musty smell, but that's unavoidable. The surrounding area was nice and quiet. Located in the small town of Akizuki, there are many unique local attractions nearby. The hostess spoke some Chinese and was very helpful. Since the hotel isn't accessible by public transportation, we took a taxi from Nishitetsu to Amagi Station, which took about 20 minutes. The hotel also booked a taxi for our return trip the next day. The accommodation and two meals were very generous. My husband's birthday was the day before, and the hotel even made a special effort to celebrate it with a cake, which was very thoughtful.

SuperjhThe hotel's location is super convenient, right at Hakata Station. You can directly access JR and Shinkansen lines from B1. Popular spots like Musashi Wagyu Rice are right across the street from the 1st-floor exit, and the famous sheep cheese toast is just a 6-minute walk away. The hotel's cleanliness is also excellent, and the rooms are quite spacious for Japan. It's definitely a top choice for family trips!

Guest UserI had a pleasant stay at Nishitetsu Croom Hakata. The location is a major highlight—just a short walk from Hakata Station, making it very convenient for getting around the city.
I liked the concept of selecting amenities yourself from the lobby, which feels efficient and eco-friendly. However, there were no complimentary water bottles provided in the room, and I noticed that shower caps were not available at the pick-up point either.
Overall, the hotel is clean, comfortable, and very well-located—ideal for travelers who prioritize convenience.

Guest UserSummary: don't stay here. You've been warned. I've been to many capsule hotels in Japan. None were as horribly bad and overpriced as this one.
Good: close to the station and the staff do what they can within their (very confined) perceived limits
Bad: no sound insulation so you get to enjoy ambient sounds like traffic, trains and other patrons scuffling about during nighttime. The mattress is moldy, dirty and super thin so it doesn't feel comfortable unless you're used to sleeping on a moldy floor. The layout makes absolutely no sense at all. They tried cramming in as many capsules as possible in one small area and called it a day. 2 toilet stalls for 62 capsules? Laughable. The bath area is minuscule so you're queueing just to get a cramped dip. Lockers are minuscule and the luggage area is right next to the reception so you have to cross public area just to get some stuff out of your luggage. No space to unpack in peace either. I'd rather have them drop the breakfast and bathing area in favour of fixing the one thing they're supposed to deliver: a good night's sleep.
Consider this place a last resort, not a proper stay.

Soft_tacoPros: The rooms were very clean and spacious, with well-controlled temperature. The public bath on the tenth floor was warm and clean, and the outdoor bath was also very comfortable. The staff were polite and offered complimentary drinks. The breakfast was excellent, with very fresh and delicious sashimi!
Cons: We went to the nearby shopping mall recommended by the hotel at 9:15 pm to have dinner, but due to the New Year, none of the shops were open. The food court, which was supposed to have a last order at 9:30 pm, was also closed, and even the vending machines were not operating. We returned to the hotel and searched several floors but couldn't find any snacks (such as instant noodles or chocolates). The hotel's vending machines only had drinks, and we couldn't find a way to order takeout in our room (the Japanese instructions were incomprehensible). We ended up going hungry all night. I suggest the hotel provide food options in the evenings on special occasions.
Other: The hotel is suitable for drivers and offers free parking.

The Travel Hunter5 star review
Grand Hyatt Fukuoka was a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. The hotel is directly connected to Canal City Hakata, which makes it extremely convenient for shopping, dining and walking around Fukuoka. The location is excellent, especially for tourists who want everything nearby without needing to travel too far.
The room was clean, spacious and well maintained, with a very comfortable bed and a relaxing atmosphere after a long day out. Service from the hotel staff was professional, polite and attentive throughout the stay. Check in and check out were smooth, and the overall hospitality felt premium.
Overall, Grand Hyatt Fukuoka gave us a very pleasant 5 star hotel experience. Great location, comfortable room and excellent service. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Fukuoka.

Anonymous UserGreat experience in general. The location is very convenient as it's about 5 minutes walk from the subway station. The room is small but it's spacious enough for one person. I particularly enjoyed the public bath, especially after a long day of walking in the city. I will recommend this hotel to others.

Guest User5 star, location was good, waking distance to hakata station, they have a very nice breakfast spread, worth to bundle in with room.
For the rm size in Japan hotels, this 3 star rated hotel Room was considered huge for 3 with rm for walk even when 3 luggages were open laid on floor.
