I don't usually leave reviews, but the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong truly deserves one. The hotel's convenient location is a given. We stayed here for three days, and the attentive service truly left a lasting impression. The front desk staff who handled our check-in were incredibly warm and welcoming. Upon seeing we had a child, they proactively offered a small gift and thoughtfully asked if we needed an extra bed. Every time we stepped out, the housekeeping staff greeted us with a smile, which always started our day on a positive note. The room was also impeccably tidy, with even our charging cables neatly coiled. Our child left an umbrella in the lobby, and a male staff member from lost and found patiently spent over ten minutes helping us look for it, for which I felt quite apologetic. The hotel breakfast was also excellent and plentiful, with high-quality ingredients. As we were leaving, our child said they definitely want to stay here again on our next trip to Hong Kong.

Facilities: A bit dated, but still offered a decent experience.
Cleanliness: Overall acceptable, though the water supply was unexpectedly cut off in the middle of the night. The hotel explained they were replacing 'dirty water,' which was a bit unsettling.
Location: Excellent, situated right at Langham Place.
Service: Excellent!
Executive Club Privileges: A great spot to unwind after a tiring day of exploring.
Ming Court Wine Cellar Tasting Class: Did not attend.
Poolside Tai Chi Class: Did not attend.
Breakfast: I genuinely believe it's the best hotel buffet in Hong Kong!
I absolutely loved this hotel; it's one of my all-time favorites. A particular highlight was the panoramic 270-degree sea view from the floor-to-ceiling windows (180 degrees directly visible, complemented by another 90 degrees reflected in the mirror). Every day, we admired the deep blue ocean and watched huge container ships, laden with cargo, slowly pass by right before our eyes – it was like a live, constantly changing spectacle. Truly satisfying!
While the room wasn't exceptionally spacious, the two comfortable 1.5-meter-wide beds were incredibly cozy, a very thoughtful and considerate design choice. The attention to detail was also impressive.
The infinity pool was impressively long at 60 meters, 10 meters longer than a standard Olympic-sized pool. Additionally, there were two warm soaking pools, a godsend for anyone sensitive to the cold. We visited during the off-season, so there were only a handful of people in the pool, making for a truly comfortable and relaxing experience.

I have two separate bookings with different room types. I found it frustrating to move from one bedroom to another. Carlos at the front desk went above and beyond to help me find a room so I wouldn't have to switch rooms. I truly appreciate his effort and see that he's making a real effort to satisfy the custormers' needs. The hotel never disappoints, especially when you need to work or travel to and from China. I'd stay at this hotel again next time.

The weather in Hong Kong from September 4th to 6th was absolutely perfect, really enhancing our sea-view room experience. I felt incredibly blissful just lying on the hotel sofa in the afternoon, gazing at the sea and daydreaming. The hotel is conveniently located right by two ferry piers, making it super easy to get to North Point and Central. Our room was very well-equipped (a water dispenser was a fantastic touch, so no worries about not having water in the morning!). The service was excellent; as our room wasn't ready punctually upon check-in, they kindly offered us a complimentary breakfast for a day. And a special shout-out to the breakfast – it was incredibly diverse and plentiful, featuring Japanese, Cantonese, and Middle Eastern cuisines. All in all, it offers excellent value for money and is definitely worth choosing! 👍
We just spent a lovely weekend at this hotel and overall, we were very impressed. It's a fantastic choice for a modern and convenient getaway.
First, the positives, which are numerous:
Stylish & Modern: The design is absolutely beautiful. The lobby and rooms are decorated with a clean, contemporary aesthetic that feels both luxurious and welcoming.
Unbeatable Location: The location is perfect. It's just a short walk from the main public transportation hub, making it incredibly easy to get around without a car. We loved being steps away from great restaurants and cafes. The biggest bonus was the immediate access to different water sports—being able to just walk out and go kayaking was a highlight.
Top-Notch Facilities: Everything feels brand new. The gym was well-equipped, the common areas were spotless, and we really enjoyed the pool area.
Excellent Staff: Every staff member we interacted with, from check-in to housekeeping, was exceptionally polite, professional, and helpful. They really made us feel well taken care of.
There were, however, two noticeable issues that held us back from a 5-star rating:
Poor WiFi: The WiFi was consistently slow throughout our stay. It was fine for checking emails but struggled with anything more data-heavy, like streaming or uploading videos.
Faulty In-Room TV: The LCD TV panel in our room was not working properly. The right side of the screen was noticeably dark, which made watching anything quite frustrating.
Overall, we had a wonderful time. The hotel's strengths in design, location, and service far outweigh the technological drawbacks. We would definitely consider staying here again,

The hotel boasts modern, well-designed facilities. The room was surprisingly spacious for Hong Kong standards, spotlessly clean, and the bed incredibly comfortable. We opted for a partial sea view room, and the views of Victoria Harbour from our window were absolutely stunning. The in-room coffee machine and complimentary minibar were much appreciated. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious. The 9th-floor gym and infinity pool were a highlight; sipping a cocktail while gazing at the sky and sea was utterly delightful and relaxing. Its prime location near Victoria Harbour allowed for easy walks to the Avenue of Stars, K11, and the Star Ferry terminal. Right across the street, a vibrant snack street offered convenient dining options. While it's about a 10-minute walk to the MTR station, this was entirely manageable. Every staff member was warm, polite, and made us feel truly at home, providing a genuinely 'home away from home' experience. Overall, it was a truly pleasant stay. I would absolutely choose Hotel Icon again for my next visit to Hong Kong.

This is an older hotel. Taikoo Place is conveniently located downstairs, offering a few decent restaurants, making it easy to dine out or buy fruits and snacks from the supermarket.
The room amenities were quite basic, on par with a decent 3 or 4-star hotel in a major Chinese city. The furnishings were dated; the fabric sofa had old stains, and the glass coffee table was wobbly. The only redeeming quality was the room's view (I was on the 42nd floor, so I can't speak for other floors).
The hygiene has also declined from what it used to be. It seems the staff cuts corners whenever possible. The duvet cover likely wasn't changed before our check-in. On the day we checked in, my child immediately jumped onto the bed to play, and when they flipped over the duvet, we discovered bloodstains inside. Fortunately, my child saw it and called it out, as no adult would typically think to check the inside of a duvet cover. A manager came with someone, took photos, replaced the duvet, and then left without another word.
We stayed for 7 nights. On the first day, there was a shower cap in the bathroom, but from the second day onwards, only hair ties were provided. I was too lazy to call room service and just made do. On another day, the trash wasn't collected. The following day, I had to place the bin in the middle of the room for them to finally collect it.
At check-out, the front desk staff apologized for the bloodstains on the duvet and asked me to wait. She then turned, went into a room behind her, came out, and said the manager wanted to apologize in person but wasn't available, offering two biscuits as an apology...
This attitude is truly telling, isn't it? Is this typical service here? They couldn't even offer a heartfelt apology. Perhaps subconsciously, they just view tourists as easy targets for exploitation? I was originally quite tolerant and hadn't even intended to bring up the bloody bedding incident. However, that bizarre gesture of offering two biscuits at check-out truly infuriated me. Did they feel obliged to address it to save face, even if half-heartedly? That's why I'm leaving this review, so others can be aware of the current standards of this hotel.
And just a side note about the food at Taikoo Place restaurants: I hope the hotel doesn't think their biscuits are five-star quality. Neither I nor my child even like biscuits.

GGuest UserThis hotel is GREAT if you are transiting as it is less than 5 minutes walk from T1 Arrivals (when you come out of the Arrivals Door and into the terminal, turn left, walk towards Pret A Manger and look for the red sign,it's very easy).I actually booked this hotel because I attended a concert at the Asia World Arena and got a late arriving flight so I didn't want to worry about getting to a hotel late at night. i just got the Airport Express one stop there and back to the Arena so that was also super convenient. There are some restaurants and convenience stores in the terminal if you want to get food, which was great. My room was spacious, clean and had everything I needed since I was just there for the concert. There is some noise from planes but it didn't stop me sleeping. The staff were very polite and helpful, so if you want something close to the airport or Arena I really do recommend this hotel

PPikedunhelinUnfortunately, I always seem to get insect bites whenever I stay at this hotel, and this visit was no exception. The newer hotel tower offers genuinely beautiful and pleasant views. Check-out is half an hour earlier than standard. Citing their policy of not providing single-use plastic-packaged amenities, they don't offer a shower cap or toothbrush (though slippers are available). Bottled water also isn't provided and must be purchased. Overall, I'd say just try to enjoy your stay and don't pay too much attention to the staff's attitude. Given the value for money, it's still somewhat worthwhile!
GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located near Sha Tin Plaza, making it a great base for shopping and exploring the area. The location is definitely a big plus. However, the room felt a bit outdated—the walls had some yellowing and small cracks, and the overall cleanliness was okay but not outstanding. I’d rate it 7 out of 10 for cleanliness. It’s decent for a short stay, but there’s room for improvement in maintenance and upkeep.

GGuest UserThe highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the exceptional service. From the moment I stepped out of the car, the bellhop proactively assisted with my luggage, to the front desk staff who swiftly processed my check-in and thoughtfully upgraded my room – every single employee greeted me with a genuine smile and a warm welcome. A member of the housekeeping team even hand-wrote a welcome card, which was a wonderfully warm and personal touch. This level of customer-centric service goes far beyond the 5-star amenities. I would absolutely choose to return here for the service alone.
GGeorgeGauFacilities: All facilities were very convenient, making for a comfortable stay. The lobby desserts were delicious and affordable. Cleanliness: Excellent. Environment: Very good. Service: The front desk staff were excellent; they didn't require a deposit and spoke excellent Mandarin. I even forgot to bring cash, and the bellhop kindly paid for my taxi fare, which saved me from an awkward situation. I wasn't sure if the Executive Suite included Executive Lounge access, but since our other room did, the front desk kindly arranged for both rooms to have Executive Lounge access. After returning home, my mom accidentally took one of the room key cards with her. I hope it's not an issue.

BBarryW Hong Kong delivers impeccable service with a smile—staff were attentive without being intrusive. The view from our room was breathtaking. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable; steps from the MTR and Kowloon’s buzz. A flawless blend of luxury and convenience. Would absolutely return.
