I don't usually leave reviews, but the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong truly deserves one. The hotel's convenient location is a given. We stayed here for three days, and the attentive service truly left a lasting impression. The front desk staff who handled our check-in were incredibly warm and welcoming. Upon seeing we had a child, they proactively offered a small gift and thoughtfully asked if we needed an extra bed. Every time we stepped out, the housekeeping staff greeted us with a smile, which always started our day on a positive note. The room was also impeccably tidy, with even our charging cables neatly coiled. Our child left an umbrella in the lobby, and a male staff member from lost and found patiently spent over ten minutes helping us look for it, for which I felt quite apologetic. The hotel breakfast was also excellent and plentiful, with high-quality ingredients. As we were leaving, our child said they definitely want to stay here again on our next trip to Hong Kong.

Hotels in Hong Kong are generally quite expensive with small rooms. I opted for this one primarily because its mid-range price point aligned well with my budget. The room itself wasn't small and felt quite spacious.
The hotel boasts a good location. It's about a 15-minute walk from Sha Tin MTR station. Alternatively, if you prefer not to walk, several bus routes from Sha Tin station stop directly in front of the hotel, which is just one stop away.
The hotel facilities are a bit dated, so don't set your expectations too high; it doesn't even compare to a typical 3-star hotel in mainland China. However, given Hong Kong's prices, this hotel offers pretty good value for money.
My room only had a bathtub, no separate shower, which was a bit inconvenient as I usually shower. Interestingly, a smaller room I booked also had a shower. So, I'd recommend contacting the hotel directly when booking to clarify the room type and amenities.
The hotel offers pleasant views from the room, overlooking both mountains and a river – truly beautiful and refreshing.
Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. While the selection isn't extensive, it includes staples like bread, fried noodles, fried vermicelli, sausages, eggs, yogurt porridge, and siumai. Beverages like coffee, tea, and juice are also available. The food was prepared cleanly, and it was sufficient to fill you up.
Both check-in and check-out processes were very quick, especially check-out, where you simply drop your room key card into a designated box.
I had a relatively long stay in Hong Kong this time. For day trips, I found it very convenient to catch buses directly from the hotel entrance. Bus 81c takes you straight to Tsim Sha Tsui, and if you're heading to Sai Kung, the 299x route is direct. I visited Sai Kung for the first time on this trip to see the sea and islands, and the water was exceptionally clean. I highly recommend taking a bus from the hotel entrance; it's only about a 30-minute ride.
New Town Plaza at Sha Tin station also offers a wide range of shops and some excellent dining options. All in all, this hotel provides good value for money.

Unfortunately, I always seem to get insect bites whenever I stay at this hotel, and this visit was no exception. The newer hotel tower offers genuinely beautiful and pleasant views. Check-out is half an hour earlier than standard. Citing their policy of not providing single-use plastic-packaged amenities, they don't offer a shower cap or toothbrush (though slippers are available). Bottled water also isn't provided and must be purchased. Overall, I'd say just try to enjoy your stay and don't pay too much attention to the staff's attitude. Given the value for money, it's still somewhat worthwhile!

Facilities: All facilities were very convenient, making for a comfortable stay. The lobby desserts were delicious and affordable. Cleanliness: Excellent. Environment: Very good. Service: The front desk staff were excellent; they didn't require a deposit and spoke excellent Mandarin. I even forgot to bring cash, and the bellhop kindly paid for my taxi fare, which saved me from an awkward situation. I wasn't sure if the Executive Suite included Executive Lounge access, but since our other room did, the front desk kindly arranged for both rooms to have Executive Lounge access. After returning home, my mom accidentally took one of the room key cards with her. I hope it's not an issue.
We just spent a lovely weekend at this hotel and overall, we were very impressed. It's a fantastic choice for a modern and convenient getaway.
First, the positives, which are numerous:
Stylish & Modern: The design is absolutely beautiful. The lobby and rooms are decorated with a clean, contemporary aesthetic that feels both luxurious and welcoming.
Unbeatable Location: The location is perfect. It's just a short walk from the main public transportation hub, making it incredibly easy to get around without a car. We loved being steps away from great restaurants and cafes. The biggest bonus was the immediate access to different water sports—being able to just walk out and go kayaking was a highlight.
Top-Notch Facilities: Everything feels brand new. The gym was well-equipped, the common areas were spotless, and we really enjoyed the pool area.
Excellent Staff: Every staff member we interacted with, from check-in to housekeeping, was exceptionally polite, professional, and helpful. They really made us feel well taken care of.
There were, however, two noticeable issues that held us back from a 5-star rating:
Poor WiFi: The WiFi was consistently slow throughout our stay. It was fine for checking emails but struggled with anything more data-heavy, like streaming or uploading videos.
Faulty In-Room TV: The LCD TV panel in our room was not working properly. The right side of the screen was noticeably dark, which made watching anything quite frustrating.
Overall, we had a wonderful time. The hotel's strengths in design, location, and service far outweigh the technological drawbacks. We would definitely consider staying here again,

This is an established hotel, and I chose it primarily for its convenience. The L-floor lobby offers a direct corridor to Langham Place, putting shopping, dining, and the MTR all within easy reach. It's also just a few minutes' walk from the Mong Kok stop for Airport Bus A21. My only minor complaint is that despite requesting a quiet room, I was still assigned one facing the street. Additionally, the air conditioning was quite chilly.

Having enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Shangri-La Hotel in Shenzhen two days prior to my arrival in Hong Kong, I naturally gravitated towards a Shangri-La property, choosing the Kerry Hotel. The hotel boasts a grand lobby, and for enhanced security, access to guest floors requires a key card. The cleanliness throughout was also exceptional. I booked a double sea-view room, and its floor-to-ceiling windows offered direct, panoramic views of the entire Victoria Harbour. Just below the hotel is a beautiful waterfront promenade, perfect for a leisurely stroll to the Avenue of Stars and K11, both within a mere 2-kilometer walk. The lobby service was superb, completely shattering the stereotype of cold, impersonal service often associated with Hong Kong hotels. Restaurants are conveniently located just off the lobby corridor, with prices comparable to external establishments, not inflated. Unfortunately, I had only booked for one night and was unable to extend my stay as there were no rooms available. The next day, I moved to a nearby Bay Apartment Hotel, which simply couldn't compare to the Kerry. That hotel only changed its bedsheets every three days – absolutely disgusting! And its room rate was only HKD 300 less than the Kerry. Seriously, avoid that place!

From the moment I stepped out of the car, the bellhop proactively assisted with my luggage, to the front desk staff who swiftly processed my check-in and thoughtfully upgraded my room – every single employee greeted me with a genuine smile and a warm welcome. A member of the housekeeping team even hand-wrote a welcome card, which was a wonderfully warm and personal touch. This level of customer-centric service goes far beyond the 5-star amenities. I would absolutely choose to return here for the service alone.

For my child's birthday, we opted for a family-themed room, and the entire 45th floor is dedicated to family suites! The moment the elevator doors opened, a whimsical mini train greeted us, instantly whisking us away to a fairy tale kingdom! There's a dedicated children's club offering dining, entertainment, and a variety of craft workshops daily! In fact, you could easily spend your entire stay without leaving the hotel, as it perfectly caters to all children's dining and entertainment needs, allowing parents to truly unwind. It truly gets a huge thumbs-up from us! We'll definitely be choosing Island Shangri-La Hong Kong again on our next visit!

AAnonymous UserWe got a good deal on Trip.com to book Regal Airport Hotel.
The hotel offers the greatest convenience for transit passengers, with a full range of facilities.
We arrived early on the day of check-in. We were checked in by Anson who was very friendly and helpful. The process was simple and fast and no deposit was required as we had paid fully. After we checked into our room, we took hotel shuttle bus to Citigate Outlet for shopping.
Although the room was dated but was clean and neat especially the bed linen.
Regal Airport Hotel is directly connected to Hong Kong Airport. We wanted the convenience of staying at this hotel because we didn't have to get up very early to catch public transport. We just walked to airline counter to check in and went to airline lounge leisurely.

JJazzie SimpsonI stayed in the hotel during my birthday, Miss Bernadette who assisted me during check in was so friendly and even gave me a room upgrade during my stay. Furthermore, she even gave me a complimentary birthday cake and that was so sweet of her! I truly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The view was spectacular!

MMeilideshuThe hotel boasts modern, well-designed facilities. The room was surprisingly spacious for Hong Kong standards, spotlessly clean, and the bed incredibly comfortable. We opted for a partial sea view room, and the views of Victoria Harbour from our window were absolutely stunning. The in-room coffee machine and complimentary minibar were much appreciated. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious. The 9th-floor gym and infinity pool were a highlight; sipping a cocktail while gazing at the sky and sea was utterly delightful and relaxing. Its prime location near Victoria Harbour allowed for easy walks to the Avenue of Stars, K11, and the Star Ferry terminal. Right across the street, a vibrant snack street offered convenient dining options. While it's about a 10-minute walk to the MTR station, this was entirely manageable. Every staff member was warm, polite, and made us feel truly at home, providing a genuinely 'home away from home' experience. Overall, it was a truly pleasant stay. I would absolutely choose Hotel Icon again for my next visit to Hong Kong.
