"Hyatt Hotel is located beside Lake Burley Griffin. Easy to reach by car but seems like there is not much public transport nearby. We rented a car for our trip in Canberra so accessibility wasn’t an issue for us. Hotel parking was AUD30 in their underground carpark. They recommended for us to park on the street parking. Paid parking for daytime from 8.30am. Parking overnight was free. Popular landmarks of Canberra was within minutes drive from the hotel. Snapper & Co. restaurant was 5 minutes drive from the hotel and they serve great fish and chips! From the exterior of the hotel, you could tell that the hotel is of a certain age. But the interior was grand and nice! The room was spacious and clean! Was surprised to see Le Labo amenities! Bath salt was also provided. Had 2 other rooms on a different booking, and they managed to allocate rooms side by side. By far the best hotel I have ever stayed in!"

"Hotel location📍   We drove at 8 o'clock in the morning in Sydney. We stayed in the zoo in Canberra for about 5 hours. We drove in from the entrance. On the left is Jamala's signboard. It is good to park directly in the parking lot without taking a ticket.   Jamala is not in downtown Canberra, but Canberra is only a 10 minute drive to the city. If you want to live for a few more days in Canberra, I wouldn’t recommend it because of Canberra’s political attractions. The administrator has a giraffe to take pictures. The giraffe room can see giraffes and deer, lemur rooms, The lemur is just outside the glass window of the room, and it’s especially cute to see people coming over and selling! We can also see the lion on the window terrace of the No. 2 lemur house. The hotel is open at 6 o'clock~ These two hours are free activities, and the zoo can visit the aquarium. "What an amazing stay. Everything was spotless, comfortable and a lot of thought put into what we would need as travellers. Food was amazing for both breakfast and dinner. Best meals I’ve had in a long time. The issue we had was difficulty with check in. There is not a ‘person’ there to help with anything. We will definitely be back again!"

"A very quiet, clean and well run hotel. Very close to Parliament House and a 15 minute bus ride from Canberra CBD (No. 59). There is a local shopping centre with lots of restaurants, cafes and a Coles supermarket only 10 minutes walk away. Plenty of off street parking if you have a car. "The room is small but well equipped. The bed is comfy. The public area is nice.  The library provides with free cold and sparkling water. It is so easy to bottle up the water before I head out for the day.  They also have a microwave and coffee machine. They provide complimentary apples which are crunchy and sweet. The $6 muffin is also good.  The neighbourhood is mostly government offices. The e Parliament House is in walking distance. However, it takes 10 minutes to walk to the nearest supermarket. "The room felt a bit small, not quite like a five-diamond hotel, but the bathroom was large, which was important to me, so I felt the overall stay was OK. The hotel has its own style, the corridors and rooms are dim but there is an atmosphere."

The hotel didn’t quite live up to my expectations — while it wasn’t bad, it also wasn’t particularly memorable. The room itself was clean but pretty basic and somewhat dated, lacking the comfort or extra touches you'd hope for at this price point. One thing that stood out as a bit off-putting was the parking fee — $25 per night seemed steep, especially considering the overall value of the stay. On a more positive note, the breakfast was definitely the highlight. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and offered a good variety — a great way to start the day. In summary, Rydges Canberra was okay for a short stay, but it didn’t impress. I’d consider other options next time unless the breakfast alone is enough to bring me back."

"I booked a two-bedroom apartment. The room is large and spacious. The view of the hall is mountain view, very beautiful. Once inside the hall is the bar, the lights are dim, the music is delicious, the western food is there, the hotel is very big, the bar is just a few, there is also a movie theater. The decorations are all wood strips, I can't understand them, I feel special art. Both bedrooms have no windows and are just a bathroom. There are many kitchen utensils and many tableware. "It was ok. We were upgraded to a deluxe which was a bit bigger apparently. The room was very small which would make a standard room tiny you wouldn't want to stay more than one night. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom, & the window didn't open no hair dryer in the room I found out later there shared??? Lucky I brought my own.There was no complimentary bottle of water no books with info on Canberra if this was my first visit to Canberra I would be disappointed. No checkout time given at checkin nothing explaining breakfast if you wanted. Very over priced for what you get compared to other hotels in Canberra"
