Solitude art inn

I cannot express how wonderful this property was. We had the family suite, which had two bedrooms, all beautifully and uniquely designed - one child slept in a nest! The location and approach was dramatic. It is situated in the heart of the bustling Muslim quarter of Xi’an, off a narrow street lined with colourful food vendors and shops. To reach the property you go down a narrow corridor off the Main Street, and we were nervous about what we would find - this is not your typical hotel. But the host met us on the street and helped us with our bags to the suite. The rooms were spotless and the beds comfortable. Everything is hand made and individual. The host could not be more helpful. This was epitomised when my suitcase broke on the way to the hotel (it requires a 3 minute walk)… he gave me one of his suitcases that he didn’t use. The district is very loud and bustling but the rooms are very quiet - set back from the Main Street. I suspect we wouldn’t have experienced this wonderful part of Xi’an without having chanced upon this accommodation. It really made our trip even more special. If you are a traveller who likes a bland business hotel, this isn’t for you. But if you enjoy the experiences of travelling and staying in unusual places, with incredibly generous and helpful hosts, then our family recommend the Solitude Art Inn without reservation.

The room and the apartment are super clean. The owner provides so many snacks and free beverages So many toiletries and amenity kits provided Location within the muslim streets. The son is super nice, can speak some English, and the owner will always answer your question. A must-visit hotel/service apartment if you stay in Xi'an.

Located inside the muslim street, very convenient to find halal food, the owner is friendly too and would help you if you needed anything. Worth the stay!!
