The room, which cost over 600 yuan, felt rather underwhelming overall, "like a well-decorated, non-chain motel."
Cleanliness: The room's floor drain had a strong odor, noticeable upon entering. This is standard for non-chain motels, or perhaps a familiar, folk-style smell that hasn't been cleaned in a while.
Environment: The room and common areas feature a lot of terrazzo, which feels cheap. The curtains are manual, and the bathroom and shower have two side-by-side glass doors with frosted stickers, giving it a familiar feel.
Amenities: The air conditioner in the room was constantly humming loudly. The staff said it was normal, "just like breathing." I was speechless, as it was familiar. Later, I was offered a different room.
