"We stayed three nights at the Paradox Hotel. The hotel's location is very central. It is within walking distance of the Harbourfront and many other nearby attractions and restaurants. It's a short Uber ride from Gastown and Stanley Park, and there's a farmers market within walking distance on Saturdays. We loved the hotel because the staff was friendly and it was easy to get around. Valet is CAD 50 per night and well worth it. There is also free bike and scooter rental at the hotel. The best part is that there is both an indoor pool and an outdoor hot tub. The indoor pool area serves as a nightclub at night and a swimming pool in the morning. The room is spacious, clean, and meticulously maintained."

"My hubby & i arrived past 10pm for check in. Checking in was not easy as I forgot my credit card & d front desk girl w/ an Eastern Europe accent said that she can’t check me in unless i present a credit card for a $100 deposit + resort fees. I said I paid for d room already but she won’t hear of it unless i present a cred.card. My friend volunteered to use her card for security deposit. Checked out early AM before 7am with Pramila & Anshu behind d desk to help. I informed Pramila of my cc situation & she was just so pleasantly helpful to facilitate d things i need for my upcoming check in in d next 3days. Pramila made my day. I wish there are more enployees like her who’s willing to go above & beyond her work to help a stressed senior tourist. I am also lucky to have a dear friend to come to d rescue. All’s well that ends well. God bless Pramila."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location. We took public transport from the airport, and it was just a 6-minute walk from the stop to the hotel. Our room was spacious, offering a pleasant street view from the window. What really impressed us was that the front desk staff spoke Chinese. "We had an evening arrival flight and arrived at the hotel close to midnight. The lady at checkin counter was not in good mood and not very friendly. The next day happened to be the Canada national holiday and the concierge seems to be busy. His manner is even worse and not very happy working on a holiday obviously. My question is very simple like what to do as a new comer in the city on this national holiday and his answer even much simpler. Both had poker faces and not very friendly and not willing to answer questions."

"The hotel is conveniently located right above Canada Place. Stanley Park, FlyOver Canada, and the Gastown Steam Clock are all within walking distance, and there are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby. The cruise ship terminal is situated right downstairs, making it a lively and bustling area. We booked a club room, which offered stunning high-floor harbor views and access to the 23rd-floor lounge. While the room amenities were a bit dated, the service was exceptionally attentive and thoughtful. This level of dedicated service is particularly commendable in North America, and I highly recommend staying here!"

"We loved this place, very friendly and caring owner and manager who made sure we were taken care of before we moved in and after check out.
The condo is very strategically located in Vancouver, easy access to all areas by public transport or walking. Good view from the condo.
There is a very big oriental supermarket and Costco nearby. Great for grocery shopping; we had everything in the kitchen for home cooked meals too. Chinatown is within walking distance, plenty of food in the area from all international cuisines."

GGuest UserMy husband and I stayed overnight in Vancouver to see a hockey game. The hotel is close to many amazing restaurants within walking distance. It is also close to Rogers Stadium so that is always nice so we don’t have to pay for parking or cabs.
The staff were amazing and accommodating as we’d asked to have a room with a balcony, which they were able to do. We had dinner out but had brunch in their restaurant which is on the 5th floor. The atmosphere was so magical, all decorated for Christmas but it was also warm and inviting.
For whatever reason (maybe bcause it was a Tuesday morning) we were the only ones in the restaurant until half way through our brunch, then only one other couple shared the dining room with us. The food was INCREDIBLE and our server Lee was the sweetest most kind person I’ve ever meet. After our brunch we sat by the fireplace with our coffees, relaxing before our 12 pm checkout. It felt like we were in a Manhattan brownstone. We will definitely be coming back in the future and certainly will recommend this hotel to our friends. Staying at LHermitage was an oasis in the midst of a very hard 3 weeks of me just having lost my mom. Thank you 🎄❤️

I hope this message finds you well. I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn/Hilton in Vancouver and wanted to share some feedback regarding my experience with the front desk team.
Unfortunately, I found the level of service to be below the usual high standards I associate with the Hampton Inn/Hilton brand. Specifically:
I arrived at the hotel at 1:00 a.m. on December 15, 2024, and was informed by the front desk staff that I could not sit in the lobby because my check-in time was 3:00 p.m. The staff member's approach felt dismissive, and I was asked to leave the lobby, which was disappointing after a long journey.
Upon arrival, I even cant not have a cup of water, and it was not provided. Is this due to hotel policy, or was it an oversight? Basic services such as offering water to arriving guests are often considered a courtesy and can greatly improve the guest experience.
Additionally, the front desk staff seemed inattentive during check-in and did not address my concerns effectively. This lack of professionalism left me feeling unwelcome.
I understand that managing guest interactions can sometimes be challenging, but I believe addressing these issues could significantly improve the experience for future guests.

GGuest UserI booked for 3 nights stay at the hotel. On my first night, I checked into my room which was facing Beatty Street overlooking the BC Place, there was a 2-day concert on going until 11pm. I rang the front desk and asked for room swap, unfortunately all rooms were fully booked at the time. The next day I received a call from the front desk and they were happy to offer another room for my remaining stay, away from the main street where the concert was held. Overall great hotel location, right in the middle of city centre with lots restaurants and shops.

Ssony163This is a long-established hotel. I stayed there a few years ago, and it boasted a classic European décor. This time, it's been renovated to a minimalist European style, making it quite cozy and inviting. Overall, the service and cleanliness were satisfactory. The location is also excellent, right in the heart of downtown Vancouver, conveniently located for shopping, public transportation, and fine dining. However, the main issue is that many of the service details don't quite match the hotel's brand and positioning. There's a ceiling light in the living room, which should be the main light source, but I couldn't find the switch. Even after I called the waiter in to ask, he still didn't know where it was. The bathroom was very basic, similar to the standard of a Four Seasons hotel in China. The power outlet next to the bed wasn't working, and a tangled mess of wires lay exposed on the floor between the bed and the nightstand. The most perplexing aspect was the Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The speed was extremely slow and unreliable, frequently disconnecting. At its best, it was only around 100kbps, among the slowest in international hotels. The waiter was aware of this and offered no solutions. Fairmont, a prestigious and established luxury hotel in North America, was a disappointment during my stay. The overall impression was that it was declining.

YYangguangsudiI invited friends to stay for 8 consecutive days and specially booked a hotel in downtown. The hotel facilities are a bit old. The rooms have ”kitchenettes” where you can make simple meals. The hotel is conveniently located. It takes 7-8 minutes to walk to the Skytrain station, 5 minutes to walk to the beach, and take the ferry directly to Granville Island. March is the most beautiful cherry blossom season in Vancouver...

AAnonymous UserI am happy to have stayed here. The location is very vibrant — thanks in large part to the hostel’s bar and its ridiculously good happy hour — and the rooms are cozy. It is enjoyable to be in such a historic hostel.
The exorbitant charge for a towel is my only major gripe, but the place gets bonus points for having two cool cats! Would gladly stay again.
