"I booked one garden chalet and one double bedroom for a 2-night stay with my family. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. The facilities are outdated and poorly maintained. The food was a major letdown—fried rice was soggy and overly salty. The breakfast buffet was very limited, with only one side available to serve 40–50 tables, which led to long waits and poor variety. Monkeys roam freely around the property, and their droppings are scattered along the walkways. It’s especially unpleasant (and unsafe) to walk around at night due to this. The game room is in bad shape. The snooker table is uneven, all the ping pong balls are deformed, and the children's toys are dirty. The mountain bikes provided are rusty. We also encountered cockroaches, lizards, and other insects hiding under shelves—every morning we found dead bugs around the rooms. On a positive note, the swimming pool and beach are beautiful, and the availability of duty-free alcoholic drinks was a nice touch (outside Berjaya resort). The chalet also offered complimentary soft drinks (Coke and Sprite) in the room, which was appreciated. Despite all these issues, the customer service was genuinely good. The staff were friendly, helpful, and tried their best to assist whenever we had concerns."
"My family had a nice stay at TDR. It lived up to our expectations and MORE. I am writing because I would like to commend the resort for their help in locating my missing backpack (left at the ferry jetty). When we realised we were missing an important bag (dont ask how, things happen i guess) we called the resort and asked the help from the staff to check if we did leave our bag at the jetty which was a 10 minutes-walk away from the resort. They immediately went to check but the bag was not there. It seemed that TDR didn’t just leave the matter at that, and I dont know how they managed it, but 6.5 hrs later they called to inform me that the bag was on another ferry on its way to a different jetty 30 minutes away from us on the mainland. Kudos to the Bluewater ferry service for picking up the abandoned bag and sent it to their office albeit at a different nearby location. Again, I dont know how but i am so glad that TDR was able to get that information and relayed it back to us. After more than 8 hours of despair, with God’s will, we got back our bag with the help of the staff of the resort, the staff of the Bluewater ferry service and possibly the networking within the small island. Thank you so much for the help TDR. Thank you for making this a really memorable trip with a happy ending."
"1511 Coconut Grove feels like something you read from a magazine that you never imagine getting to experience. Tioman Island is truly a magical place indeed and this resort is the most perfect location I’ve found! We will be coming back again and again.
All local staff who knows hospitality standards of western travelers!"

"The hotel owner is Chinese, so domestic friends don’t have to worry about language communication problems. The hotel environment is very good. I personally like nature and virgin forests. This hotel meets my requirements. It’s the most primitive feeling when you come out to play. The cabins are unique and I like it very much. It’s not far from the pier. There is a duty-free shop at the end of the pier. Similar to small shops in China, Tioman Island is duty-free Island, you can book a BBQ with the hotel owner. Breakfast is toast, nasi lemak, tea, and coffee. The hotel is not a five-star hotel. Those who mind are careful"
"It was not friendly arrival, find your way
We booked for 4, we only have two
towels, most of the time
no staff and breakfast is the same for two days"
"Great quite and beautiful location. May is the best, so comfy and welcoming, really involved in guests. The room is spacious and all you need is here. For sure the best place for those who come to wander in jungles and swim. We really loved the atmosphere. Thank you. All the best to you and your family, May!"
"The location is good. Although the resort is new, there's too much walking noise due to the wooden rooms. noise from people walking on upper floor planks can be heard.
My bad experience is losing my health band after the room cleaning. Be careful of your belongings during your stay."
"Thus little hotel was only 7 minutes walk from kg Genting jetty making it a convenient location. We booked for a triple person for 3 nights. The crew are very pleasant and accommodating. I really enjoyed the quietness of this location"
"Great environment. Relaxing and doable. Great Sunrise except for occasional overcast. The beach is white. The size of the room is comfortable. Beds are big. The deluxe room has a small balcony which leads to the swimming pool and dining hall. The room is not the cleanest. Saw some baby cockroaches running around the bathroom. The pillows are way too soft. The Aircon power is very weak Occasional power trips.
There are a few dive shops along the way. Good selection for divers who wants different experience diving around Juara. Food prices are average. There is a roti canai shop mia cafe. Which sells out out very quickly. Be on time at 7am if you want to try it."
"We spent a week in this beautiful resort. We were very impressed by the friendliness of all the staff. Everyone gets along well with each other. The food is very good and the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. They offer super fresh juices.
The resort needs some maintenance in the outdoor areas. We would love to come back."

Amazing
BblackbirdThe resort was beautiful and clean. I got a villa fronting d sea and it was beautiful n romantic
Clean room, comfy bed and the staff were so so friendly especially Mr Fadil who works at d restaurant. D resort opened just 7 months ago so its very new. No beach activities like canoeing or snorkelling yet to renl.
The only disappointment was d BBQ which lack varieties and very slow to be prepare. For $150/pax its very costly!! Other then that I love d resort n might come again Minus d BBQ hahaha
GGuest UserWhen choosing a hotel, preference was given to the order. It is located 10 meters from the shore, where you fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the surf!
The hostess Aziza is very friendly, she helped buy tickets for the ferry to the island and back, which I could not do myself. Breakfasts are modest, but quite filling. You can also have lunch and dinner at the hotel. We always took seafood. They cook very tasty!
Right in front of the hotel there is a coral reef, where you can see a lot of fish with a mask and snorkel. On the right and left there are diving clubs, where you can learn and dive into the underwater world the next day, if the training goes well. I went to the right, if you look from the sea, everything is organized there by an interesting Japanese family.
I recommend the hotel, but not for possessive tourists for whom comfort is in the first place!
AAnonymous UserStunning views, excellent service and good food.
Had a lovely stays as my friend arrange a surprise birthday for me during dinner, very good massage ( i took excellent massage package) plus had a chance to saw milky way just in front of the hotel’s restaurant..! I just Love everything💜💜
The only thing that can improve is the flamming tower seafood that i ordered 1 day in advance. Booked for 7pm, it came around 7.40pm and cold already. I expect to eat the deep fry seafood panas2
SSimilorgyIf you think to take a hotel or not, take it without thinking! Very welcoming staff, everything will tell, will show. Good breakfast on the type of Swedish table. To the ocean 1 minute. Harbour in step availability. If you want to snorkelling, go to the left to the stones and study the underwater world. The hosts gave a kayaking at a very attractive price for a day. The houses are comfortable with air conditioning. The bed is comfortable.
But there are no glasses in the windows in the houses. Only wooden stands. Accordingly, they are not open with the air conditioner without which it is very hot. Prepare to live with the light on constantly. There was a tree over the house, from which occasionally something fell on the roof with a thunder. But it was rare. And so it was very much like!
GGuest UserWe loved it at this hotel! The room is spacious and clean, water and tea are available all day, the breakfast to choose from is simple, but edible and tasty. We liked the location: Tekek, the pier, the road to Juara nearby, and most importantly, access to the beach with excellent reefs. Of the minuses, for 4 nights there was no cleaning or change of towels. They left a bag of garbage outside the door, and then it was removed. There are no sun loungers on the beach, it is better to have your own air mattress or just snorkel.
PPurplePolkaDotsI loved this place. While rustic, the room and shower are decent and functional. I especially loved the hammock on the balcony and spent too much time lazing on it. With the amazing sea view and breeze, and very laid back vibes, it's really hard not to. No need to spend time in the room.
Amazing and accommodating hosts; they try their best. We're very appreciative. Thank you, guys!!
We got the air con room and did not get mosquitoes. Yes, walls are thin, so no hanky panky.. ;p Yes, there was loud music from an open bar at the other end of the chalet. We managed to sleep through the night regardless. The loud waves drowned most of the sound.
Will defo come back here if we're heading this area again.
Some tips:
1. Do bring bathroom slippers/flip flops for comfort
2. Do bring a hanging toiletries case as there is no place to put your toiletries
3. While I ended up not needing them, I still brought mosquito coils with me
###$$##The resort has everything you need — meal options are buffet, grill, BBQ, and fried dishes with excellent wok hei. It also offers a spa, dive centre, mini mart, and an activity centre that arranges snorkeling, trekking, kayaking, and more. Right in front of the resort is a clean, beautiful beach, and Tomok Island is just a short walk away for snorkeling.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located near the sea and the pier. The room has two double beds, a refrigerator, a kettle, a TV. Flying foxes ”hang out” nearby🐱
TTutsthe villa is good and clean with minimal things like fridge, water boiler and and mugs with coffee as well.
the staff are very friendly and approachable.
the beach front is good for kids. fine sand and the ground level is even so not to worry with kids.
the servewares can be cleaner and wash thoroughly.
the wifi signal is very helpful to those guests with work integration at the cafe.
the salted squid is very good
