It was a nice experience staying in Hyatt Regency in Thiruvananthapuram. We are family with two kids and had booked one regency suite and one king room for our 3 nights stay. The checkin process was smooth and took hardly 3 to 4 minutes to complete the formalities. We were given connecting rooms and kids had fun and enjoyed moving around comfortably. The rooms were fairly big and were neat and clean with attention to detail. The breakfast was very good with more vegetarian options. All the staff of Malabar Cafe were courteous and suggested to try local delicacies and were generous enough to serve at the table. However, vegetarian options were very limited during our dinner. Check out process was equally smooth. It was a pleasant and memorable stay at Hyatt Regency.

No welcome drink which set the tone for bad start. Went for a quick lunch to Mynt before a pre booked city tour and there was nothing quick about it. Ordered ala carte and even though we were told sandwiches could take 20-25 min, we ordered them with time to spare only to be disappointed with one arriving after 35 min and the other as we were ready to leave. This had to be packed as a takeaway. Return to the room after being out to find that there was no turn down service and no replenishment of room supplies. Called to request items and it took 3 calls and more than 1 hour to receive. I am still here for one more night, together with our elderly family members and I can only hope that someone sees this and makes some substantial changes to help redeem our holiday. The only positives so far was the door men, luggage porter at entrance, bell hop and in-person front desk. We did receive a complimentary snack at lunch but would have much preferred a quicker service.

Had a very experience staying at this hotel which is centrally located in city centre. Mr. Thilak GM was very kind enough to offer me the best possible rates. They have a cozy bar with good selections of drinks. The food served is very tasty. Staff members are very courteous and helpful. Overall a very satisfying stay experience.

The staff was really nice and welcoming. They also allowed a 2 hours early check-in when i reached since they had the room available. I also had the opportunity to get their full body ayurvedic oil massage which was really great and comforting.

Great value for money. The apartment offers clean, spacious units at affordable price. Its location is strategically near the airport, but it is not as easy to figure out without the help of a Google Map. It is approximately 20-30 minutes' walk, with the last 7 minute stretch walking through small alleys. Nearest food is around 1km away.

GGuest UserThe front desk staff member I encountered was exceptionally rude and unprofessional. When I inquired about why the extra bed provided during this stay did not come with a bed frame as it had during my previous stay just five nights ago, his response was dismissive and unhelpful. He said, ”You should ask the housekeeping, not me.” via telephone. If this is the standard of hospitality your hotel upholds, I see no reason to return. Furthermore, the subsequent explanation provided by the same staff member was equally unacceptable. He stated, ”We said extra bed, not frame,” and informed me that the extra bed would be placed on the floor. This was only communicated after we had settled into our room, not at check-in. It appears that your hotel has a limited number of bed frames for extra beds and had run out, despite my booking being made a month in advance. This situation could have been handled much more professionally. If the lack of bed frames had been communicated at check-in with a simple, ”We apologise, but we have run out of bed frames,” it would have been understandable. However, the rude attitude and lack of basic courtesy from your front desk staff are inexcusable. Proper communication and a respectful demeanour are fundamental in the hospitality industry, and this experience has left me extremely disappointed.

GGuest User”Unforgettable Stay!” My stay at Kovalam Beach Hotel was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and genuine smiles from the owner and staff. The hotel's traditional Kerala architecture, characterized by wooden features, added a touch of charm to the overall ambiance. Situated just steps away from the pristine shores of Kovalam Beach, the location couldn't have been more perfect. The homely food served here was a culinary delight, offering a taste of authentic Kerala cuisine. Clean and well-appointed rooms provided a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing. I can't wait to return to Kovalam Beach Hotel for another memorable stay!

Let's start with this place point by point date of visit (7 may to 8 may) 1- reached the hotel little early around 8.30 am. The assistant manager (Mahesh) said he will try to give the room by 11 after confirming with the manager (who refused to share his name but has worked for 11 years in Hospitality in Colaba, Mumbai) The manager refused and asked for additional amount. Which I understand must be the policy. But the arrogance of the manager is hard to miss 2- the room was filled with mosquitos. There was no Soap. The Linen was untidy 3- the Highlight (Check out) we checked out at 11.30 the official time and requested to keep the luggage at the side for sometime till we get some clothes and snacks. The Manager replied not more than 1 hour as it will create disturbance to us. How can 2 bags create disturbance if it's kept in a corner of the waiting area. Part 2 - we reached back by 1.10 pm which he didn't appreciate. We asked the manager about the other places that we can visit, he was completely clueless and had zero interest in replying. While we were sitting quietly in the waiting area he asked us to get out in an extremely rude manner. You can't ask your guests to get out of the property, they are not causing any inconvenience to other patrons. Please please please avoid this place just for the Manager. He is not worthy of being in the Hospitality industry. I really hope the owner of the property takes note of this incident and takes some action against the manager because despite being at good location the people who are running it are leaving a bad taste. I'm writing this review from a restaurant nearby the property as we were asked to GET OUT. P.S. the assistant Mahesh did apologize on behalf of the manager but the damage was done by then

The tipplers smoking on the corridor of 1st floor travels to rooms in 2nd floor where i was staying and it was unpleasant. 3. Seems solar heater is fixed hot water not available due to rains.

GgpadmanaThe room we were given was connected to another through a door. The door was locked from both sides. A big group of 40 students had checked in. And one group, about 7 or 8 of them, were in the room next to us. At night 11pm, they were making noise and talking loudly, which was a nuisance for us. We called the reception a couple of times requesting them to tell the students to keep quiet. But they did not do anything. The said they would talk to the teacher !!. Finally, we knocked on their door and requested them to be quiet. But they continued thei noise. And when they left well past night, they ran our room bell and went. Is it no the responsibility of the hotel staff to ensure customers maintain decorum? The rooms did not have a fan, only ac. And the ac temperature indication was so bright, that it lit up the whole room. Room service was pathetic. Whatever we asked from the menu, the response was a curt ‘no’. Housekeeping was ok. Lop cation is good, not crowded. There are veg only hotels nearby.
