"Ok, this one is difficult to rate.
The room comes with a magnificient view on the sea. That's what made me chose that place.
But it is remote. So, if you have no car, except walking a good 2km from the train station along a road.
There is nothing to eat there. It is a stop/sleep/leave concept of hotel. Once again, if you have no car... you won't walk back the 2km to find something to eat.
You sleep on the floor. No surprise here and I slept particularly well so, no complains. Just be aware of that.
Toilets, bath, all is shared.
Room are old but all ok and one of the biggest space I got during this trip. Furnitures are also old. You may feel like you are staying at grandma place for a while.
The building, from the 70's probably, is not sound proof. You may enjoy your neighbor sleep. As I did.
I did book for 2. Probably because Trip was not proposing other option or because it was the cheapest one, not sure. The lady at the entrance kept me waiting for 15mn for that reason showing that she was embarrassed to give me the keys for that already paid room. This moment was uncomfortable to say the least.
The remote part, the furnitures style, the oldish atmosphere, the old room door still requiring a key and that squeak a little bit... may not please everyone. It comes with its sweet creepy feeling.
Not an hotel for everyone. But damn, the view in the morning... splendid."
"All good and friendly service from all the staff. The female staff in the morning even helped me to find a place for brunch, which is appreciated.
The only minor downside is no washing machine, however there is a coin operated laundromat nearby."
"Everyone of the employees will respond very comfortably, and in a good sense, if you don't want to interfere, watch over gently and follow with casual service. I didn't eat dinner, but the breakfast was a delicious and varied buffet. I was also happy with the service of yukata where you can choose the color pattern and the service where you can always have hot drinks."
"Traditional ryukan with futon beds and shared public baths with buffet breakfast and dinner included. Whilst I enjoyed my first ryukan experience it may not be for everyone, the building is older and the cost is quite pricey for a family in my case anyway. Would still come again. We stayed here for two nights. The island is beautiful and I had a nice view of the rabbits and the ocean from the window. You can also rent bicycles at a reasonable cost. They don't sell rabbit food so you might want to prepare your own before you come to the island. I'm vegan and whilst they did say to ask the staff to show you which items were vegan at the buffets there really wasn't much choice especially at dinner. Maybe I should have made a special request before I arrived. There's no vegan food available for lunch at the cafe, so you'd need to bring your own food"
"It should be called Daguangyuan Hotel instead of Carrot Hotel. The hotel is large and well-equipped. It has a large bathhouse. I went there late that day and didn't take a shower, but the facilities were great. The room was clean and tidy, and I really liked the Japanese-style stay. Takehara City is a great place and I might like it more if I watch the anime Tamaki. I like the hotel to last for a long time."
