GGuest UserThe room was comfortable and the air conditioning was excellent. The blackout curtains were a real highlight. Parking is free. The breakfast spread was quite good, and the staff were all very friendly. We stayed for three days. It's very close to both the airport and the mosque. There's a gas station right outside.
GGuest UserMy stay at IntercityHotel Bawshar was truly wonderful — it felt like a little home away from home. The location couldn’t have been better, with so many major tourist spots just minutes away, making exploring the area easy and stress-free. What really stood out to me was the warmth and kindness of the staff. From the moment I stepped in, the reception team greeted me with genuine smiles, the security staff made me feel safe, and the housekeeping quietly took care of everything so my room was always spotless.
Dining at the Gourmet House was a real highlight — the food was fresh and delicious, and the restaurant staff always made me feel welcome, like I was a valued guest rather than just a customer. After long days of sightseeing, unwinding by the clean, refreshing pool or hitting the gym felt like the perfect way to recharge. Overall, my time at IntercityHotel Bawshar was both relaxing and enjoyable. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly place to stay with great amenities and a warm atmosphere.
GGuest UserThe hotel arranged a taxi for me, but it was much more expensive compared to the one I took from the airport. I also found the food prices to be quite high. Overall, the stay was fine, but I felt that the transportation and dining charges could be more reasonable.
Ddm_sI booked one twin room and one king room, requesting quiet rooms close to each other. When checking in, the female receptionist gave me a twin room on the sixth floor and a king room on the third floor. The twin room had a lot of equipment noise. After complaining, they moved me to the room across the hall, but when I walked in, it was a king room... They clearly had twin and king rooms close together, so I don't know why they didn't give them to me initially. 🙄
The third-floor room was quiet at first, but then at 6 AM the next morning, the construction site across the street started up. The hotel didn't even seem full, so I don't know why all the rooms they assigned were facing the construction. 😤
I saw a laundry room listed in the amenities, and after searching for a while, I found two washing machines on the fifth floor. They looked dirty, so I didn't dare use them.
The breakfast selection was quite limited, comparable to a budget hotel in China, and leaned towards Indian flavors.
Other staff members were friendly though. The room had a large water dispenser, but we didn't want to drink from it, and the staff promptly provided several bottles of drinking water, which was great. The room also had a microwave and some tableware.
Overall, it was just an alright stay for one night, and the bedding was comfortable.
GGuest UserThis is a typical transit hotel. They wouldn't accommodate us and only allowed check-in at exactly 2:00 PM, even though our flight was in the morning.
The room has all the necessary amenities to comfortably wait for a layover.
I'd recommend basing your decision on the price; there are four hotels of similar quality in the vicinity.
GGuest UserIt was a pleasant stay. The room was clean and spacious with everything you need. The breakfast was good with a lot of food options. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was not bad, quite close to the airport and right next to the Mall of Oman.
YYangguangxiaozhu123Not far from the airport, about a 10-minute drive. There's a large parking lot at the entrance with plenty of spaces. The room was incredibly spacious, even with an extra bed, it still felt very open. The air conditioning, a Gree unit, was excellent and cooled the room down quickly. About a 10-minute walk (700 meters) from the hotel, there are many restaurants, including a fantastic Turkish kebab place that you can easily find on Dianping (Chinese Yelp). There's also a big supermarket nearby where you can buy things at good prices, including many Chinese-made products. However, you'll need to cross the road a few times, and the traffic can be fast, so be careful. The price was very reasonable. I recommend staying here.
GGuest UserHotel location was great in the middle of everywhere. Furniture was well maintained beds were comfy. Swimming pool was small but my kids enjoyed it. The only disadvantage was staff. We only sow the lady for check in honestly she was polite but no welcoming no one to help with baggage no one in the reception most of the time. House keeping was horrible they don’t change linens even it was dirty and torn. I had to call them to change it. The carpet was wet and they didn’t do anything even they don’t clean tables. Price was reasonable for the location only and having connected rooms was great for my children.
