PPammy PhanWe had a great family stay at this hotel in Melaka. The location is perfect, just a 5-minute walk to the Red House and Jonker Street. The hotel has beautiful Nyonya-inspired décor with modern touches. We loved the welcome drink and free canvas bag, and the option to customize it with stickers was fun. There are also VR games and a claw machine for entertainment.
Our Superior Family Room was clean and spacious with two large beds. The projector TV and automatic curtains were the kids’ favorite features. Bathroom amenities and a hairdryer were provided.
The only downsides were a short flight of stairs leading to our room, which made carrying luggage slightly inconvenient. The free parking lot is about a 5–8 minute walk away, so it’s better to drop off luggage at the entrance first.
Overall, friendly staff, great location, and a stylish, comfortable environment. A very enjoyable stay, will recommended for families!

AAnonymous UserIt’s a spontaneous trip that we booked the room before we check google reviews. Yet we are aware of the different way of check in.
Apparently it’s under awanjiwa management of the *air-bnb* style of room which is the same hotel as The pines.
First,
If there is choice i may direct book frm the pines , we tried once under the shore & the swiss garden same thing yet also unforgettable trip 😅
I would say hotel charge the prices will assure give the best services maybe .
We consider lucky that awanjiwa person in charge is nice and responsible. We got some hicups on the check in and got settle to change another room as u can see frm photos the disaster of the first room we got i told the PIC only the bed and the sink is clean others is all dusty 😵💫
We got changed to another better condition rooms also with some stain on the table n cupboard so i had to clean myself before place anything in.
Its not that bad tho, but i would say im not an airbnb guest . 😅 and its feel really weird when u stay in hotel but its like so weird u cant park in the same unit and u just dont feel u are away for a trip as the place u check in like ur neighbor home kind of feel .

GGuest UserThe bed and towels had stains. The towels had blood or some other red marks on them, and the vanity chair was incredibly dirty with red and black stains. However, we mostly used our own stuff, so it was okay. The bathroom and street had a vomit smell that wouldn't go away, even with air freshener. The water heater was broken at first but was fixed later, which was great – the hot water lasted a long time without turning cold quickly. But the water pressure from the faucet was very low. We requested room cleaning, and after being out for over 10 hours, the room still hadn't been serviced. The location is good if you have a car, but difficult to get around on foot. Parking is very limited though.

GGuest UserI am truly pleased with the Grand Swiss-Belhotel Melaka, Malaysia for their warm hospitality and very clean accommodations. The staff went above and beyond to extend their assistance, even helping me with important matters such as bank transfers—going so far as to use their own personal accounts to ensure everything was taken care of smoothly.
A special appreciation goes to Mr. Rifkarl, the security personnel, for his remarkable support and genuine care, which truly reflects the hotel’s commitment to excellent service.
This experience is a testament to the dedication of the entire team, making my stay not only comfortable but also memorable. I am deeply grateful and will surely recommend this hotel to others.

HH4ik4lI had a wonderful stay at ibis Melaka! The hotel is clean, modern, and very well-maintained. The location is excellent — just a short walk to Jonker Street and other main attractions, yet quiet enough for a relaxing night’s rest.
The room was comfortable, with cozy beds, good air-conditioning, and all the essentials you’d expect from an international hotel brand. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with directions or local recommendations.
Breakfast offered a good variety of both local and Western options, and the dining area was bright and pleasant. Parking was convenient, and Wi-Fi connection was stable throughout the stay.
Overall, ibis Melaka delivers great value for money — perfect for both leisure and business travelers looking for a reliable, comfortable place to stay in the heart of Melaka. Highly recommended!

PPS XuI booked 2 deluxe king rooms for 2adults and 2 teens as I don't require a lounge (additional room with sofa) and requested for connecting rooms but was told connecting rooms must booked with 1 family suite (1 room with 1 lounge) and 1 normal room.
Cons:
The rooms are quite old. Doors are not closed properly. Have to ensure the doors are fully closed every time.
The lifts are slow and HOT! There's no ventilation when the lift is full!!!
The walkways have no air con!!!!
The room's air con need to on full blast.

Super convenient location. Many nice food around and opposite the hotel. Cottage Spices nonya food, hock kee gift shop, ee ji ban chicken rice, etc...

Nice sea view at the swimming pool.
Super fast room service from the housekeeping team when I requested for more mineral water, toilet paper and shower gels.
Daily housekeeping 👍👍👍 but please knock before entering the room when we are inside as we didn't hang the sign to clean room, the staff still enter 😮😮😮😮

The room is spacious, and there are two security doors to access the upper floors, making it very safe. This building also has a large infinity pool with a great view. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Malacca River and about a 20-minute walk to Jonker Street.

But, the surrounding environment a bit ”Creepy”, just like ”No Body” there, accept you're alone.
Building was look nice, but with ”Empty Tenant” inside the Complex / Mall, it looks so ”Creepy” and too Quit.
Not recommended for Family with Small Children.
