Twiggy H.LeeJust got back from Dusit Princess Melaka and honestly, really happy with the stay. Got a room facing the Melaka River which made it so much better — woke up to a nice view and it's really relaxing especially in the evening with the lights along the river.
Room itself was big and fully equipped, felt more like a proper holiday stay than just a hotel room. One thing to note — it's not really walking distance to Jonker Street, more like a quick 5 min Grab ride away. But no complaints there because right next to the hotel there's already 2 Chinese hawker stalls, so kalau lapar tinggal jalan kaki je. There's also a KK Mart right there for snacks, drinks, or anything you forgot to pack, and a 24hr halal food store nearby too so late night cravings are sorted.
Overall solid stay — comfy room with a great river view, good amenities, and food options literally next door even if Jonker Street itself needs a short ride. Would stay again 👍

MELVIN LIM FUI SIANGThis was my first time staying at Babahouse, and I really loved the concept and traditional style of the hotel.
From the moment we arrived at the lobby, we were warmly greeted and welcomed with a complimentary drink coin for the entire stay — 1 coin per person, per room. Since we had 2 rooms for 2 days, we received 4 coins in total. A nice little touch that made us feel welcomed.
When we entered our rooms, they were generally clean, tidy and comfortable. However, in one of the rooms, we noticed some mould on the towel and also on the bed. We understand that this can happen if a room has been unoccupied for some time, especially with the humid weather. We also noticed that only some of the room windows have coverings, which may contribute to the room condition. Hopefully, the management can pay extra attention to this.
The weather outside was extremely hot, with no rain for the whole week, so the first thing we did was turn the air-conditioning on full blast!
We also tried the gym and really enjoyed it. Although the gym is small, the space is sufficient for a simple workout. They also provide towels and drinking water, which is very convenient.
Around the hotel, there is Rumah Kechik Café and also a hidden bar on the side, which adds to the overall charm and experience.
During our stay, we didn't drive around much. We mainly went out to Jonker Street and simply walked from the hotel. It was easy and convenient, and it also saved us time from dealing with traffic and finding parking.
Overall, I really enjoyed my first stay at Babahouse. I love the traditional concept, atmosphere and location. With a little more attention to room maintenance and cleanliness, I believe the experience could be even better.
Definitely a place I would consider staying again when visiting Melaka.

Guest UserThe front desk staff were very enthusiastic.
The hotel is newly opened and is already one of the better options in the area.
The hotel breakfast was average; while there were many options, the quality was just so-so.
The Strait of Malacca is nice.
You can also go to Jonker Street to try the 'monster instant noodles,' which are very unique!!!

Vivienne00I booked a 1-night stay in their Lux King Ocean Room at The Lisbon Melaka as I read that it’s a new international hotel that opened a year ago.
The room feels very cozy when I entered. The fixtures were still new and the beds were comfortable. It’s come with a smart TV which is a plus point in this day and age. Though it will be better if the TV is slightly bigger as it’s only 32”. The balcony was dismal and the ocean wasn’t that therapeutic and was partially blocked.
The breakfast buffet was a letdown as well. There wasn’t much options for selections though the hotel was proclaimed as a 5 star luxury hotel. For the room rate at about RM$337 on a weekday, it’s definitely on a higher side. I think likely also due to low occupancy.
Throughout my stay, the hotel was fairly empty and not many rooms were occupied. The courtyard area was really nice, which elevates the resort feel. The pool and gym nearby was really small. So I did not use the facilities.
The spa room wasn’t tenanted out too. There was no lift as well, definitely not user friendly for the elderly. Staff Shamirul and other guest relations personnel were polite too. Same applies to the security which offers good service.
Will I return, it’s very unlikely.

Meha BahnanVery comfortable hotel with a pool, suitable for kids. Great location near the River Cruise jetty, and walking distance to Dataran Pahlawan along the riverside path. Beautiful views... worth it. Shops, especially Speedmart99 and Mamak Sri Sahabat, have really delicious and affordable food. The staff, from top to bottom, are all kind, friendly, and welcoming. You should definitely stay at this hotel... it's worth it. I stayed 1 night, then extended to 3 nights! 😆😆

Excellent location with plenty of great food nearby. The huge parking lot out front was a lifesaver for us, coming from out of town – super convenient. Plus, there's a pool where you don't even need a swimsuit! The front desk staff were all really friendly, and the room was spotless. Had a very comfortable stay.

沈维聪(沈哥三少)Superb location. Near to major shopping centre and places of interest. Is a small hotel with no swimming pool. Except a small fitness studio. Highest floor is level 6. Use to hv direct access from hotel to the shopping centre. But it is closed after COVID.
Some tips for the prospective customers.
If you are going to the Dataran Pahlawan shopping centre. Please take the lift to G floor walk towards Hatten hotel entrance, walk towards the Baun Buffel direction, u saw a lift near to their sales gallery. Took to 2nd floor (before 9pm) and walked towards the Dataran Pahlawan shopping centre. GSC cinema at L5.
Walk inside the shopping centre where you saw a common area where you saw Mixue or Levis boutique. Walk towards the Brands outlet and you will see an exit. Took that exit it will lead you to the farmosa, red square, St Paul fort, Jonker street.

HafizuddinOmarThe breakfast was good, with a nice variety of food and a spacious dining area. However, there were quite a lot of hairs on the carpet in the room, which was not very pleasant. The carpet should be vacuumed properly before each new guest checks in. Only two small bottles of shower gel were provided, which was not enough. I asked the receptionist for more, but was told there was no extra shower gel available and was only given shampoo instead. One of the towels was also torn. The water flow was quite slow, and the mattress felt a little too hard.
Overall, the breakfast was good, but the room cleanliness, amenities, and comfort could be improved.

mary goslowAbsolutely one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Melaka! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly welcomed with their warm hospitality and professionalism. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, and the facilities, especially the swimming pool, were well maintained. The location is also very convenient, making it easy to explore the city. Excellent value for money and outstanding service. I will definitely return to Swan Garden Resort on my next trip to Melaka and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay.

jaybbThe good... location is near malls, can walk to heritage sites for tourists, price is not expensive, nearby bus terminal at Hatten Hotel. Good for just sleeping and then do your sightseeing. Aircon works, fridge also halfway there. Plenty of food options all around, convenience stores for your needs.
The bad... dated. While it is still relatively clean, the rooms feel dilapidated. Floors are peeling off, curtains torn, windows cannot fully close off, lights dim. I've found too many bagworms that I've given up on throwing them away - in the cabinet, in toilet.
So, if you don't mind all these and just need an affordable place to sleep, this hotel can be an option. If you are those tai-tai who expects high crass place, look elsewhere. Note: Carpark is linked to hotel at Level 2 & 3.
