Great
WW. JinHygiene: Very good. Facilities: A mix of new and old, it's renovated, but just okay. No conditioner or lotion provided. Service: Since we arrived from Singapore by cruise, we got to the hotel around 9 AM. We dropped off our luggage and went for a walk. It was incredibly hot, so by 12 PM, after sightseeing and eating, we returned to the hotel and asked if we could check in early. They refused... At around 1 PM, our little one really needed a nap, so we asked again and finally got a room. Sigh. Compliant with rules but not very empathetic. The service industry really needs a bit more human touch. The concierge, however, was excellent. Environment: The swimming pool is clean, but it gets direct afternoon sun and closes exactly at 7 PM. Breakfast is good, but if you absolutely need Chinese food, you might consider skipping it and heading to the tea restaurant about 15 meters to the left of the hotel entrance, which is a better option. One side of the hotel faces the sea, and the other faces the Malacca River bay, both are nice views.

DDaphne MQThe hotel’s location is absolutely excellent—right in the heart of Jonker Walk. Everything is just steps away, whether you want to explore the night market, enjoy local food, or grab a casual drink in the evening. It’s incredibly convenient and perfect for a lively yet effortless stay. One of the best parts is that room service is available until 10:30 PM, so even if you don’t feel like heading out, you can still enjoy a delicious meal comfortably in your room. The breakfast spread is impressive and truly delicious. There is a wide variety of options, including Nyonya cuisine, Western dishes, porridge, Malay noodles, pasta, croissants, and fresh fruits—something for every taste. The hotel’s design reflects a beautiful Baba-Nyonya style, creating a charming and relaxing holiday atmosphere. There is also a small rooftop water play area where kids can splash around and have lots of fun, which adds a lovely family-friendly touch to the stay. Overall, the experience was exceptional—truly a perfect stay from start to finish!

NNurul AlfaMy stay at Courtyard by Marriott Melaka was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the experience felt seamless and well-curated. The hotel maintains an impressive standard of cleanliness — every corner reflects attention to detail and consistent upkeep, which immediately builds trust and comfort. The location is highly strategic, making it convenient to access key areas in Melaka while still offering a sense of calm and privacy away from the busy streets. What truly stood out was the level of service. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming — not just trained, but naturally hospitable. It’s the kind of service that elevates a stay from good to memorable. The amenities were well-maintained and thoughtfully provided, catering perfectly to both leisure and business travellers. Everything felt complete, nothing felt lacking. Overall, this hotel delivers a balanced experience of comfort, quality, and reliability. A place I would confidently return to — and recommend without hesitation. nanti kami balik melaka lagi wajib stay sini….taknak hotel lain dah ! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🩷🫶🏻

GGuest UserThe location is a bit out of the way, a fair walk from Jonker Street, which made getting around at night a bit inconvenient. The room had a dark, somewhat eerie decor, complete with an old-fashioned TV and two opposing floor-to-ceiling windows. The overall vibe felt a bit unsettling to stay in. The bathroom was tiny, the toilet wobbled a bit, which wasn't ideal, and the air conditioning vent was directly above the bed, making it quite cold at night. The light switch design was poorly thought out; turning off the switch for the bathroom would cut off its power and ventilation, and turning it back on would restore power, but the ventilation fan was incredibly noisy, buzzing constantly and disrupting my rest. The front desk staff were quite friendly and they offered a simple breakfast of toast, bread, eggs, milk, and coffee. You have to clean up and dispose of your own dishes after eating. Overall, it's decent value for money and perfectly fine for a one-night stopover, especially for budget-conscious short trips. 🧐🧐

GGuest UserThe room condition completely exceeded my expectations. I was a bit worried when I saw it was a renovated old house, fearing small rooms and outdated facilities. Turns out, my worries were completely unnecessary! Both the room and facilities are very new, the service is excellent, and the breakfast is delicious. The location is also fantastic. Just like Melaka itself, this hotel was a big surprise on my Malaysia trip. If I get the chance to visit again, I'd love to stay here for a couple more days.

AAnonymous UserBase on the price is acceptable! Overall is ok, location is not too far away from town, then get cheaper price than town. Room is ok, air cool ok, shampoo and shower gel to be improved better quality . Book with breakfast, because not familiar there, disappointed that no have coffee machine, just coffee pack with hot water only, suggest the hotel need to investments the coffee machine for more choice, Coffee is important for breakfast . Food need to improve, must keep warm not just put food inside, then no keep warm, you can see from photos. Maybe you need to put a microwave for guest to do heat up themselves. A good thing is you have “ white porridges “ which was hot The staffs are no check spoon and forks, need to improve and re-training!

YyoumeiyouThis hotel just opened two months ago, right by the sea near Portuguese Settlement. I didn't have high expectations initially, but I was so pleasantly surprised! The hotel is backed by the ocean, and there's a clean, beautiful pool right in the courtyard. The breakfast was rich and clean – especially the bread, which clearly wasn't pre-made, and the fruit was super fresh. It felt much more genuine than some of the five-star hotels in downtown Kuala Lumpur! Even at 9 or 10 PM, you could still order food from the hotel restaurant, and the quality here was genuinely high compared to outside options. This morning, the hotel even had a lion dance performance, which added to the festive atmosphere. The hotel manager really pays attention to service details, which is absolutely essential for a great hotel. Having a fresh, high-quality breakfast in the morning is a wonderful start to the day, and you can even swim in the pool after coming back at night. A Grab taxi to Jonker Street is only about 8-10 RM away. It's very quiet at night, with a gentle sea breeze and the pool. It reminded us of beautiful places we'd traveled to before and even brought back memories of my partner's hometown. Because of this, we spontaneously decided to extend our stay for two more nights. Highly recommend everyone to stay here! (The only minor thing to note is that the air conditioning in the rooms can be a bit noisy. Hopefully, they can improve this. It gets quite warm at night, so you need the AC, and it would be great if it didn't blow directly on you.) 1) The room cleanliness and linens were excellent; the towels were tumble-dried, and the sheets were neatly ironed. 2) The staff were warm and friendly. 3) The environment was outstanding, quiet, and beautiful. 4) The breakfast was exquisite and clean. The chicken sausage was the only one with a normal texture among the seven or eight hotels we've stayed at in Malaysia. The à la carte restaurant didn't disappoint either; you could tell the watermelon juice was fresh (many places serve overnight juice). Thank you to the hotel for their dedication, which made our vacation wonderful. If we ever return to Malacca, The Lisbon Malacca will definitely be our top choice.

GGuest User1st day check-in experience:- Very bad. The check-in was smooth. Once we step out of the lift on 22nd level. The whole corridor is humid and stuffy. No aircon at all. After that, we tap in to our room. The whole room was humid and stuffy. Need to use those remote control to turn on the aircon (their aircon is those small ones installed for home type - one for e living area and one for the bedroom). After 20-30 mins, thought the room will slowly cool down.... no... We all started to sweat in the room as the aircon is unable to cool the entire room at all. There were 2 single beds in e living area and a queen size bed in the bedroom (Website states King size and 2 single beds). We went to the reception to complain. Cos the small aircon is too weak for the big area. Even the small room can't cool down. Ask to change to a connecting room. They offered to change to a deluxe room (2 super single) + Suite (1 king size + living area). That is the only option. We accepted and top up RM700. Reception claim they will ask the technician to check on the aircon at the corridor... End up no actions done again.... We realized when the lift door opens on certain floors when guests comes in, the corridors are all humid and stuffy! We were given the rooms on level 15, yap.... all corridors are stuffy without aircon. Even the reception area is cooler. The only plus point is e attitude of the staff here. The connecting room was way better with stronger aircon. Had a good rest for e 2 nights. Very mixed feeling for this hotel as the location is good with eateries and massage places around. Pool looks good. Very dated looking hotel with basic amenities. Slow response from housekeeping was slow, we requested for an additional pillow that never comes. Will not be going back again.

GGuest UserThe hotel is quite clean, I think its because it is quite new. Good to stay and sleep. Go to famous place of interest is about a 15 min grab ride only. Everytime you drive out of the hotel, need to pay $5, not sure why they implement this rule, other hotels I stay do not have such rule. Also, when my family and I were visiting one the facilities in the hotel, one of the function room, there were some people cleaning inside and they shouted at us with very loud & sudden voice so we didn't go in. They were cleaning the floor and I think they were afraid that we will step inside because the floor is clean but I feel that they should not have shouted. We are the hotel guest so if they do not want us to step into the function room, they could have said it nicely instead of shouting. My family and I were startled by the sudden shout. The front reception people were very friendly and professional though.

AAnonymous UserWe arrived really late, around 1 AM, so there was only one staff member at the front desk for check-in. We asked if we could switch rooms if ours wasn't suitable, but he said they were fully booked and had no other options. The next day, we saw that the entire building had tons and tons of empty rooms 😂. Our family room was very spacious, but the furniture and facilities felt incredibly outdated, like something from 20 years ago. The windows even had several black mold spots 😂, and the towels weren't very clean and were haphazardly placed in the bathroom, which also lacked a separate shower and toilet. There were ants on the table in the room, and black and red marks on the walls. Around 11 PM, after we had already gone to bed, someone prank-called our doorbell, which gave us quite a fright. There were documents on the table and bed stating how hard the hotel worked to achieve its 4/5-star rating. However, if you wanted an extra blanket or additional tea, you had to pay separately for each, with prices clearly listed. Pros: The hotel's location is excellent. It's right next to Heroes' Square, making it very convenient to walk to all the main attractions!
