Lee Sook ChenFrom the night before check-in, the hotel already impressed us with its thoughtful service. We received detailed arrival instructions, including directions via Waze to the car park located behind the hotel. Upon arrival, staff were waiting for us at the back entrance and kindly escorted us to the front desk for check-in, which made the whole process smooth and welcoming.
The hotel also offered complimentary afternoon tea around noon, which was a lovely gesture after our journey. The property features a unique and elegant Nanyang-inspired design, creating a warm and sophisticated atmosphere.
Our room was exceptionally spacious and comfortable. The bed was excellent, and we appreciated the choice of three different types of pillows. A wide variety of complimentary snacks and beverages was also provided. To make the stay even more special, the hotel manager personally wrote a welcome card for us.
The bathroom was well appointed with a full range of toiletries, and the bathtub was wonderfully large. The only minor drawback was that the hot water became cool halfway through filling the tub.
Breakfast the next morning was served from a menu with both Western and Chinese options, offering a good variety of choices.
Overall, this was a truly impeccable experience. It was clear that the hotel genuinely cares about every detail of its guests’ stay. We felt warmly welcomed and well taken care of throughout our visit, and we would not hesitate to return.

MELVIN LIM FUI SIANGThis was my first time staying at Babahouse, and I really loved the concept and traditional style of the hotel.
From the moment we arrived at the lobby, we were warmly greeted and welcomed with a complimentary drink coin for the entire stay — 1 coin per person, per room. Since we had 2 rooms for 2 days, we received 4 coins in total. A nice little touch that made us feel welcomed.
When we entered our rooms, they were generally clean, tidy and comfortable. However, in one of the rooms, we noticed some mould on the towel and also on the bed. We understand that this can happen if a room has been unoccupied for some time, especially with the humid weather. We also noticed that only some of the room windows have coverings, which may contribute to the room condition. Hopefully, the management can pay extra attention to this.
The weather outside was extremely hot, with no rain for the whole week, so the first thing we did was turn the air-conditioning on full blast!
We also tried the gym and really enjoyed it. Although the gym is small, the space is sufficient for a simple workout. They also provide towels and drinking water, which is very convenient.
Around the hotel, there is Rumah Kechik Café and also a hidden bar on the side, which adds to the overall charm and experience.
During our stay, we didn't drive around much. We mainly went out to Jonker Street and simply walked from the hotel. It was easy and convenient, and it also saved us time from dealing with traffic and finding parking.
Overall, I really enjoyed my first stay at Babahouse. I love the traditional concept, atmosphere and location. With a little more attention to room maintenance and cleanliness, I believe the experience could be even better.
Definitely a place I would consider staying again when visiting Melaka.

ZhanglindaThe first picture shows the hotel exterior, taken from across the street. The interior matches the product description. We stayed in a family room with one large and one small bed. The hotel isn't brand new, but the staff were very friendly. It's easy to get a taxi from here; it's not far from the Red Square or the Melaka Straits Mosque, but a taxi is still the most convenient option. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs, which is really handy. Jonker Street has a night market from Friday to Sunday evenings, which is much livelier than during the week. If you're visiting, I'd recommend going on a weekend for a more authentic experience.

The location is great, just a few doors away from the BaBa House which just happen to be a lot more renovated and furnished and they charged $250 for the same period i stayed in at Hereen Palm Suites which cost me $105 via Trip.com. It is just 3 minutes walk to Jonker Street and is on the quieter side so you dont get bothered by car traffic and human yet is convenient enough to all the shops and eateries.
The whole place has only 10 suites and the rooms are HUGE and clean. Bathroom is huge and water pressure is great and heater works very well, if i am to be picky, it will be complete if they have a bathtub and they should install some toilet hangers for the clothes when you shower.
The room aircon is via concealed vents , so its well distributed compared to a standalone FCU unit. Aside from teh bed there is also a daybed in the room, which is comfy and great for lazing and watching the TV.
The only flaw i can pick is the mini fridge was not working in my room.
Outside of the room, i wish they can open the window in the common area/ corridor, as all the internal space are really not ventiated and they dont turn on the A/C, so you cannot really enjoy the common spaces.
Overall, its super value for money and breakfast provided was quite good spread and tasty enough, no complains given that its complimentary.
I would give it 8/10 rating.

Vivienne00I booked a 1-night stay in their Lux King Ocean Room at The Lisbon Melaka as I read that it’s a new international hotel that opened a year ago.
The room feels very cozy when I entered. The fixtures were still new and the beds were comfortable. It’s come with a smart TV which is a plus point in this day and age. Though it will be better if the TV is slightly bigger as it’s only 32”. The balcony was dismal and the ocean wasn’t that therapeutic and was partially blocked.
The breakfast buffet was a letdown as well. There wasn’t much options for selections though the hotel was proclaimed as a 5 star luxury hotel. For the room rate at about RM$337 on a weekday, it’s definitely on a higher side. I think likely also due to low occupancy.
Throughout my stay, the hotel was fairly empty and not many rooms were occupied. The courtyard area was really nice, which elevates the resort feel. The pool and gym nearby was really small. So I did not use the facilities.
The spa room wasn’t tenanted out too. There was no lift as well, definitely not user friendly for the elderly. Staff Shamirul and other guest relations personnel were polite too. Same applies to the security which offers good service.
Will I return, it’s very unlikely.

Anna Li 6373This is my second time staying at this hotel. The bar staff even speak Mandarin, and there are more food options nearby, especially the breakfast noodle soup and iced coffee next door, which are really to my liking. I'll definitely stay here again next time.

mary goslowAbsolutely one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Melaka! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly welcomed with their warm hospitality and professionalism. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, and the facilities, especially the swimming pool, were well maintained. The location is also very convenient, making it easy to explore the city. Excellent value for money and outstanding service. I will definitely return to Swan Garden Resort on my next trip to Melaka and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay.

Melaka Apartment Hotel – A Relaxing Stay with a View
Our stay at Melaka Apartment Hotel was truly enjoyable and exceeded our expectations in many ways. One of the first things we appreciated was the spacious and ample parking area—a big plus, especially when traveling with family by car. We never had to worry about finding a spot.
The location is also a major highlight. It's close to the city center, popular attractions, and plenty of dining options, making it easy to explore Melaka without spending too much time on the road. Whether you're in the mood for sightseeing or just looking for local food, everything is just a short drive or walk away.
The apartment came with a balcony facing the sea, and this was easily one of our favorite features. It was so relaxing to sit outside, feel the sea breeze, and watch the cruise ships from a distance—a simple but memorable experience that added a peaceful touch to our trip.
The swimming pool was large and clean, perfect for both adults and kids. Our children especially had a great time splashing around and enjoying themselves, which made the stay even more worthwhile for us as parents.
Overall, Melaka Apartment Hotel offers comfort, convenience, and scenic charm—ideal for families looking for a short getaway with everything within easy reach. We would definitely return!

I think I need to inform the amenities here which will be useful for others. Amenities like toilet roll, plates, bowls, cups, hair dryer, soap, towel, ironing set, shampoo, laundry soap are all available.
Excellent wifi.
Toothbrush and toothpaste are not available.
Everything is good, just that the sofa and 1 of the bed sank down at one side due to long term used by many tenants. (Maybe landlord can consider changing it)
Each room comes with 2 queen size bed. One of the room has 2 extra mattresses. So it is able to accommodate around 10 pax.
Location wise, it is good if you have a car. A 5 mins walk to a few restaurants. The more popular one requires to walk more but I have a baby that requires to push stroller. I didn’t try to go there as it seem difficult to cross the road.
It is near to Melaka mall, Jonker street, aeon, Mahkota mall, Pantai Klebang. Taking grab cost between 10-25rm which is quite convenient during non peak hours.
One thing inconvenient, grab car is unable to go in. So I have to walk out but understand it is for safety purpose.
I thought my fan controller is spoil and they arranged a handy man up within 30 mins. Host is very quick in action.
There were some rubbish left by previous owner which may be overlooked.
Overall, for the price paid, it is still worth it. It is very spacious.

Guest UserPlenty of food options nearby, and it's less than a 10-minute drive to Jonker Street. I'd recommend using Grab if you can, to avoid the hassle of finding parking.
