"Great accomodation. Thank you to FO staff namely Helmi for the free upgrade to Premier Lounge room at level 20. Facilities also in good condition except tv channel and lift. Easy connection to all places. Just walking distance only. Tv channel - not many variety and unclear picture. Hotel to consider to change the tv channel package such as Astro, Vision, etc or modulator also from analog to digital, maybe? Lift - on checkout day, we had waiting for the lift from level 20 to level G for almost half an hour. Got 8 lift but non can enter. Traffic jammed. Till end up, maintenance/security staff need to block lift to pickup all the guest from top level. Hotel need to improve the traffic during peak hours. That's all from my side. Will come back again later. Thank you Hatten team."

"Great location, fun family room, but noisy at night The location is excellent — very close to major tourist attractions such as Christ Church Melaka, Stadthuys, and Jonker Street. St. Paul’s Hill/Church is also within walking distance. The area is surrounded by many great food options, making it very convenient for sightseeing and meals. The room itself is fun and family-friendly, with a slide that the kids loved. The room is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a family of five, which is a big plus. However, the soundproofing could be improved. We could clearly hear footsteps and kids running from other rooms, especially in the evenings. There were nights when the noise continued until around 11pm, which made it a bit challenging to rest early. Overall, a good stay for families who value location and a playful room setup, but light sleepers may want to take note of the noise issue."

"The hotel is located in the middle of Melaka, but there are not many activities nearby. There is a river cruise within walking distance, but I didn’t try it. We only used the water taxi, which was cheaper, to travel from Jonker Walk back to the hotel. The food selection is limited—just enough to fill your stomach, but not much variety. I was quite disappointed with the coffee machine; the coffee is too light, and even the Americano is not strong. The lift is annoying, as the waiting time is very long when going up or down. and the sticker make it confusing to search for number,and screen didn't show which floor when lift stop. need to upgrade or do something ,the lift waiting time is very poor. The lifts are frequently full. At times, we opted to use the stairs due to long waiting times; however, the stairwell is dull and gives an uncomfortable feeling. My kids loved the pool, but it needs maintenance. I noticed some broken tiles, which could potentially cause injuries to children. The room is just nice. I booked a studio suite, and the toilet has transparent glass. In our room, the glass was blurry, but you can still see shadows. I asked the receptionist about the Premier room, and they mentioned that it is not even blurry—it is fully see-through. I think the hotel should consider installing a curtain or proper covering for the bathroom, as this can be quite inconvenient when traveling with family."

"The whole hotel felt like a well-preserved historical building/museum, just the right amount of modern mixed with traditional influence. Rooms and bathrooms were nice and clean, all amenities provided (and good quality). Beddings were comfortable with two different pillow softness to choose from. Staff were courteous and welcoming. "The bed and towels had stains. The towels had blood or some other red marks on them, and the vanity chair was incredibly dirty with red and black stains. However, we mostly used our own stuff, so it was okay. The bathroom and street had a vomit smell that wouldn't go away, even with air freshener. The water heater was broken at first but was fixed later, which was great – the hot water lasted a long time without turning cold quickly. But the water pressure from the faucet was very low. We requested room cleaning, and after being out for over 10 hours, the room still hadn't been serviced. The location is good if you have a car, but difficult to get around on foot. Parking is very limited though."

"Pros: Two main advantages – ample parking and close proximity to Jonker Street. Cons: The hotel's beds and pillows are very old; the bed was too soft, and I didn't get good rest. The sheets and duvet are also outdated and definitely need replacing. The carpet had an odor. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast; it felt like no effort was put in. The fruit was sour, the baked beans had an odd smell, and the rice seemed like it was from the day before. I had to spend extra money to take my kids out for breakfast."

EEddy MeisterI stayed at Asiatic Hotel Melaka and booked the Family Suite with jacuzzi. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with a living area, balcony, and in-room spa bath. While it’s not a true duplex layout, the suite still felt roomy and comfortable for families or groups. The jacuzzi was definitely the highlight – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. Amenities such as WiFi, smart TV, minibar, and toiletries were all provided, making the stay convenient. Parking is available in front of the hotel, free but limited on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you arrive during peak hours, you might need to circle around to find a spot. Location is excellent – close to major attractions like Jonker Street, A Famosa, and shopping malls (Dataran Pahlawan, Mahkota Parade). There are plenty of eateries and convenience stores nearby, so dining is not an issue even though the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant. One small downside is the soundproofing; you can sometimes hear noise from the hallway. The lift is also on the smaller side, so it can get busy during peak times. Overall, Asiatic Hotel Melaka is a great choice if you want a spacious suite with jacuzzi, free parking, and a central location. It’s comfortable and good value, especially for families or friends traveling together.

However parking and location can be quite tricky to find if it is your first time visiting. Toilet can be slightly small and door is slightly see through if close. Had to figure out how to on the shower. Would be better if there is an added dressing area/ table. It is a cute and safe traditional house. Overall comfortable stay.

AAnonymous UserIt’s a spontaneous trip that we booked the room before we check google reviews. Yet we are aware of the different way of check in. Apparently it’s under awanjiwa management of the *air-bnb* style of room which is the same hotel as The pines. First, If there is choice i may direct book frm the pines , we tried once under the shore & the swiss garden same thing yet also unforgettable trip 😅 I would say hotel charge the prices will assure give the best services maybe . We consider lucky that awanjiwa person in charge is nice and responsible. We got some hicups on the check in and got settle to change another room as u can see frm photos the disaster of the first room we got i told the PIC only the bed and the sink is clean others is all dusty 😵💫 We got changed to another better condition rooms also with some stain on the table n cupboard so i had to clean myself before place anything in. Its not that bad tho, but i would say im not an airbnb guest . 😅 and its feel really weird when u stay in hotel but its like so weird u cant park in the same unit and u just dont feel u are away for a trip as the place u check in like ur neighbor home kind of feel .

GGuest UserHad a great stay at Grand Flora Hotel Melaka! Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were super friendly. The room was clean, comfy, and had everything I needed. Location is really convenient — close to attractions and good food. Breakfast was tasty with a nice variety. Overall, a cosy and pleasant place to stay in Melaka.

Saw a cockroach.The toilet bowl also needs deep cleaning.The chair. 🥹 • Bad sound proof - Could not sleep well because I could hear whenever other rooms use the toilets and noises from the tapwater and air-con compressor. (Not sure whether it is really AC compressor but really loud.) It is okay not to provide very good amenities but the cleanliness really needs improvemet.

GGuest UserLocated in an alley behind Hatten Hotel with Bus/coach bay (1 way traffic direction). Parking is chargable. Nearby Shopping mall - Mahkota Parade, Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall. walking distance to Jonker Street. Room was spacious (living room, 2 bedrooms 2 toilets) comfortable beds (2 single & 1 queen size). Bathroom was clean. No Face / hand towel provided. TV reception was weak. the chair cushions were abit worn off and dust can been seen on beams of the table. Some wood lamination has peel off and chips near the window panel. The spread of the morning breakfast was plain and simple with 1 ”live” egg cooking section. hence did not opt or it.

There was a soap dispenser in the shower which we assume it was all in one soap (hair and body) since there was no label or shampoo provided in the bathroom. Didn't interact much with the hotel staffs as we were out all day but the receptionist was kind enough to explain a out the Tourism Tax to us👍

GGuest UserThe hotel has provided the facilities as committed in their booking-page in the acceptable condition to their customer, i.e. me. Despite it is a budget hotel only and the overall appearance is slightly vintage :D, the room, the bed/mattress/blanket, bathroom, showering water heater, etc. are still clean and in acceptable condition. Besides, if communicated/spoken to the hotel, it has self check-in option for the check-in after business operation hour, i.e. mid night. Travelers can acquire the room key/card by themselves from a locker with a provided pin code. These enable me to have a good rest after making an urgent booking in night time, travel over 100km then reach the hotel at 1.30 a.m. mid night. The attached photos show the self check-in/out facility, public drinking-water-dispenser and fire extinguisher. Although I can't expect much from a budget, I would like to suggest that the air-con in the room to have service/maintenance so that it won't produce much noise. By the way, the noise only distract us slightly from having rest. After all, based on the offered/discounted price, the room is satisfactory and recommended.
