"The hotel is conveniently located right next to Kumamoto Station, just a short 200-meter walk from the Kyushu Odan Bus stop. It boasts a luxurious ambiance, and the lobby is truly grand and impressive. The rooms are quite spacious, particularly the bathrooms. Kumamoto Station itself offers numerous dining options. "For my three relaxing days in Kumamoto, I picked this hotel, which boasts a prime location. We relied solely on the tram for all our excursions, and its superb location meant most places were just a couple of stops away – truly fantastic. I also got to visit all the restaurants and cafes I'd been eager to try. Sakuramachi shopping mall is directly opposite, just a five-minute walk away, and there's a bus stop there with services to the airport. The hot spring on the 12th floor, featuring both indoor and outdoor baths along with a sauna, was a wonderful bonus."

"2nd time staying this hotel. What can i say? Perfect location. For those coming from Fuokuoka airport. You just need to take the airport bus straight to the sakura machi bus station, up the escalator straight to the hotel. Near to shopping street as well."

"Vessel is a budget type accommodation... You get just enough of what you need and if you want anything more or anything specific, you help yourself to their amenities on the 2nd floor reception. Location wise was perfect for us and the rooms are all insulated so you don't really hear the noise outside. They don't provide carpark but have a tie up where you pay a fixed rate to a very close by carpark operator (about 250m away only). We were 4 persons (2 adults and 2 teenagers) and even though the room came with two beds each sized between a single bed and a queen sized bed and a third roll out mattress, you still need to pay more for the bed linen, comforter and a pillow."

"A great value stay! The staff were friendly and helpful. The washing machine facilities were easy to use and managed to find an available machine most times. We stayed for 3 nights and each day bins were emptied and fresh towels given. The extra space under the bed for suitcases is a great touch and overall the room design in excellent. There were several tour groups staying during the 3 days which made it a little too busy, especially during breakfast as these guests all went at the same time. Not a great experience for more independent travelers like us, but the staff tried very hard. Overall one of the better stays we had during our Kyushu trip."

"Good if you like old school charm hotel, room and service. Castle view room was a disappointment - have to stand at the side of the window to actually see the castle :(
Location was great and parking was onsite. There’s a driveway at the front of the hotel and from there, the staff guided us to their onsite parking. It’s as advertised JPY1000 per day but on day of checkout, parking is until 11.30am. After that, cheaper to park elsewhere (JPY100 for 15mins vs JPY200 for 2hrs at Kumamoto Castle)."

GGuest UserHotel Nikko truly lives up to its reputation as a standard-bearer for Japanese hospitality – with impeccable five-star facilities and service.
The hotel is located in Torichosuji, about a 10-minute walk from Sakuramachi Bus Terminal. It’s directly opposite Tsuruya Department Store, and a bustling shopping street with several pharmacies and numerous dining options is right next door. I especially recommend checking out Sakuramachi Sakura Mall for some serious retail therapy! 😂
Personally, I found staying near Kumamoto Bus Terminal much more convenient. Buses offer extensive and affordable coverage to most destinations. Kumamoto’s JR train services aren't very frequent, and while they might save a little time, transfers can be cumbersome and much more expensive.
The room was very spacious. Our triple room had two large beds pushed together, which was perfectly sufficient for sleeping. It also featured a capsule coffee machine and complimentary La Mer toiletries – a truly luxurious touch! The lobby is bright and spacious, making every entrance and exit a pleasant experience. The senior lobby manager, with his remarkably sharp gaze, reminded me of the 'Grand Maison Tokyo' drama, exuding an air of sophisticated, old-money elegance that was subtly impressive!🤣
Overall, I was thoroughly satisfied with Hotel Nikko Kumamoto. A perfect score, highly recommended!

HhelensilivrenVery nice and stylish hotel. One of the girls on the staff speaks a little Russian, it was very unexpected and nice, and in general the staff is very friendly and nice. For some reason we didn't have a remote control for the air conditioner, and the window didn't open either, it was a bit annoying. Otherwise everything is great, the breakfasts are interesting, the room is beautiful, everything you need is in the hotel itself, or two steps away from it.

JJiexidexiaoheThe hotel is near a very quiet residential area. There are also delicious restaurants near the hotel. Guo Liangran's wife is right. It is a wise decision to go back to the hotel for dinner. However! The hotel does not have regular catering. You need to make reservations in advance to eat. Moreover, the English of the staff is really poor. This is the most frustrating thing for me since Japan. However, the park near the hotel is worth a visit. I recommend it with my beautiful wife!

FFernawatiWe enjoyed our stays (2 nights) here. It’s so close to bus station (Gion) only 100-150 m walk from the hotel. And 850m from Kumamoto Station. The hotel located in a quiet area, which we were expected. We walked from city center to the hotel on the last night of our stay. It’s enjoyable walk and windy that night. The view from our hotel room was incredible, we could see the mountains and the river along the city.

GGuest UserThis is our second time staying at FAV Hotel, and the overall experience was very pleasant. Firstly, the room design is very modern, giving it a comfortable feel. The interior color palette primarily uses warm tones, complemented by wooden decor, creating a cozy atmosphere.
The room's layout is also very practical. The bunk bed design is especially suitable for family travelers; children can play on them, making it easier for parents. Additionally, the beds are extremely comfortable, ensuring we had a good night's sleep.
In terms of space, the room is exceptionally spacious, and it provides plenty of charging ports.
The room is equipped with a kitchenette and a washing machine, which is extremely convenient. The only minor drawback is the limited parking, with only three spaces available. However, there's a nearby parking lot which costs just 600 yen for the whole night. Furthermore, there's a convenience store within a one-minute walk.
In summary, I was extremely satisfied with the design, comfort, and convenience of the rooms at this hotel. Highly recommended for family travelers!
