"The hotel has a rich breakfast. The twin room is very friendly to families with children. The bed is big enough and suitable for parent-child travel.

When we checked in, we checked with the front desk to see if breakfast for children under 13 years old was free. The front desk noticed that our child was tall and asked us to pay for the adult breakfast. We explained that Ctrip said that children under 17 years old (inclusive) were free. The front desk seemed a little unaware of this policy, but They will be solved in time later, overall it is good.
It's quite novel to have a robot deliver your takeout to your room. It's quite close to Water Street, so you can go shopping at night."

At the beginning, I booked a ”X X Holiday Hotel” in Trip.com but it was very cheap. I called to verify it. I knew that I had made a mistake by answering a ”hello” word from the other party! Then I found the InterContinental Holiday Hotel phone number, and the answerer also had the same word ”hello”. I made sure that this was ”intercontinental Holiday Hotel”, so the service was in the details, and the same word ”hello” could reflect different service standards in different levels of hotels!

They went the extra mile by offering assistance proactively—whether guiding me or simply checking in to ensure everything was perfect. Their attentiveness added a personal touch that made me feel truly valued as a guest.
I was also deeply impressed by their honesty and efficiency. When I realized I had left an item behind, I called the hotel, and 小徐 (Xiao Xu) at the front desk confirmed within seconds that it had been safely kept. She even arranged for it to be delivered to me the very next day—such outstanding service!
Thanks to this wonderful experience, I will definitely choose Mercure hotels again in the future. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making my stay so delightful!

Staff were great. No English spoken but all very helpful and phone translator apps work well.
The hotel and rooms were spotless. Breakfast is typically Chinese. Good choice of stir fried dishes, baozi, fruit, etc and a good coffee machine. Did I say the staff were very helpful? My colleague needed once and fork as he can’t use chopsticks. After his first day they got them for him automatically.
Location….down side street off a main road. 15 minutes walk to Stone if you want a great steak. 15 minutes walk a different way to the walking street. It’s quite central in the city. I’ll be visiting Dongtai regularly and after trying 3 different hotels before here I’ve found my go-to hotel.

GG91We stayed at the hotel as a family. The check-in process was easy and
quick. Being able to check in at 9 a.m. was also great. The staff members were helpful and friendly. The room was nice and spacious.
The view is absolutely beautiful, and the area where the hotel is situated was very quiet and relaxing over the May holidays. Breakfast was lovely; there were Chinese and western food options.
Just a suggestion: with the floors of the room being dusty, it would be great if the hotel had basic cleaning equipment, especially for longer stays (I do not feel comfortable contacting the staff to clean the room, especially with the language barrier, so it would just be easy to do it myself quickly).
It would also be great if a microwave, plates, cutlery, and serving utensils could be included in rooms, especially for longer stays and for parents with children. Having rooms with a play area would also be awesome, and I would definitely pay more if the above were included.
There is also room service available from the cafe on the first floor, where drinks and sandwiches can be delivered to your room, or you can enjoy it downstairs with a great book from the library.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The building where the hotel is located is shared by many businesses. There are two hotel front desks on the first floor. I thought I was in the wrong place at first. The building faces the street. I usually don't feel noisy on the 8th floor, but I was woken up by the roar of the garbage truck downstairs at about 4 o'clock in the middle of the night.
The facilities in the room are quite complete, but a bit old.
Breakfast has limited varieties and tastes OK.
