Amazing
CCookEmI recently stayed at Abode Belconnen and honestly couldn’t fault a single thing – it was a perfect 10/10 experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, not just as guests but as pet parents. Finding a truly dog-friendly hotel that still feels modern, clean, and a little bit luxurious is so rare, but Abode nails it. The room was spotless and beautifully designed with a calm, contemporary vibe. It didn’t have that “pet room” feel that some places have – everything looked and smelled fresh. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the linens were crisp and felt super comfortable and high class. What really impressed me was how easy they made travelling with my dog. They provided everything we needed, and had a dog toilet area on level 5 (Sunset photo i posted). Staff were helpful and never once made me feel like traveling with a dog was a burden. The location is also super convenient with shops, restaurants, and even a Woolies just downstairs, plus secure parking. It’s one of the few hotels I’ve stayed at that manages to feel both practical and stylish. If you’re looking for a dog-friendly place in Canberra that still feels like a quality stay, Abode Belconnen is honestly unbeatable. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend

GGuest UserFacilities: A bit on the older side, but Canberra doesn't offer a vast selection of hotels anyway. Location: Great location; most city attractions are just a few kilometers away. Service: The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, and they handled any issues promptly. Cleanliness: Acceptable.

GGuest UserWe stayed for the Canberra Marathon Festival. The location was close to the main event area, and there is a cafe and a foodstore close by. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable. The area is quiet but there are a few restaurant's and bars along the lake about a 10-minute walk away. Uber's were always only a minute away. We had a great time seeing the sights, a lot of them are within walking distance from the hotel.

DDangniandetianzaixiaobing1. The location is great, right in the heart of Canberra city center, near Canberra Centre, making it convenient for both shopping and dining. There's a bus stop right downstairs, though it's a bit of a walk to the light rail station. 2. They offer triple rooms, which are perfect for families of three, and the price is reasonable. The per-person cost is quite acceptable for Australia. 3. The room was pretty clean, and the soundproofing was excellent, making it very quiet. 4. The front desk service was decent; they were willing to help with any issues. We were even allowed to check in early, before the official check-in time. However, you'll need some English proficiency, and occasionally the front desk staff isn't present. 5. The facilities are quite comprehensive, including a kitchen area and a fridge. But since the hotel has been open for a while, some of the in-room amenities show signs of age. 6. The windows don't open. 7. Slippers and toothbrushes aren't provided, and the shower gel and shampoo had a rather odd scent. 8. The duvet situation was still very strange: it's the kind where two sheets sandwich the duvet insert, which seems to be a common feature in Australian hotels.

AAlijon02Overall, the hotel is good and comfortable. The room was clean, and the location was very convenient. However, I was a bit surprised that there was no toothbrush or toothpaste provided in the room. For a hotel of this size and standard, I believe these basic amenities should be included. In addition, there was no bathrobe or loungewear/pajamas available for use inside the room. Having these items would definitely improve guest comfort and enhance the overall experience. In general, it was a pleasant stay, but adding these small details would make the service even better.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located to the north west of the city centre. Though it is a bit far from the city it is quite convenient, there’s a supermarket (woolies) nearby. Parking is difficult but they provide parking for extra fee per night with unlimited in and out. The hotel is clean, quiet, comfortable and sufficient for our travel purpose to attend an event nearby. I like the double beds (two separate beds) option but this type of room only comes with a disable-friendly bathroom. I wish their double beds are bigger in size and they have a regular bathroom option with a bathtub.

GGuest UserOur internet service wasn’t good / and shower had a little bit issues. The hotel solved it quickly . The hotel service is excellent. in the room it provide coffee machine / kettle - Italy good brand . Also I really like the shower gel / body lotion provided by the hotel - these all 5 stars hotel standard. It is highly recommended. The only thing I can criticize to the hotel is it should replace the shower head .

GGuest UserWe checked in at 2pm but didn’t enter our room until around 4pm. My 3-year-old son and I opened the door to find a middle-aged man **************** inside the room. Reception later admitted they had issued us the wrong key. This is not a “mistake” — it is a serious failure in safety procedures and room-key management. A child being exposed to a ***** stranger is unacceptable. The hotel’s response was a complimentary breakfast, followed by a refund of a minibar Apple juice and parking at checkout, which does not come close to addressing the seriousness of the incident. A pre-requested cot also never arrived and had to be collected by my husband ourselves, highlighting further operational issues. The location is excellent, but due to the lack of basic safety and professional handling of this incident, we will not be staying here again.

LLaymond Ho YinReception refused to provide tax invoice as this was a business trip. They advised I needed to go through trip.com but trip.com doesnt offer tax invoices.... otherwise, my room was all the way in the other side of the reception. Would have liked if there was another entrance on the other side of the reception. EVERYTHING ELSE IS JUST PERFECT!
