Guest UserWe stayed over Christmas and it was lovely for the kids. They were welcomed with gift packs full of mini-games, not just the normal colouring papers and pencils. They also have a Christmas workshop set up way before Christmas. The room was very nicely decorated with ample of space for crafting and small table for some drinks. The only downside was that many things had been used up and not refilled as the workshop opened a few weeks before Christmas. They also served milk in the workshop room, but I had concerns that the milk was there from the morning for the whole day and that it was not kept chilled, which might not be good for the kids to consume. The receptionists were very friendly.

We stayed for the Canberra Marathon Festival. The location was close to the main event area, and there is a cafe and a foodstore close by.
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable. The area is quiet but there are a few restaurant's and bars along the lake about a 10-minute walk away. Uber's were always only a minute away. We had a great time seeing the sights, a lot of them are within walking distance from the hotel.

Guest UserRecently stayed at Hyatt Hotel Canberra and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel strikes a great balance between old-world charm and modern comfort, with the heritage architecture giving the property a unique character that you simply do not get with many newer hotels.
The rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere throughout the hotel felt calm, professional and relaxing. Staff were welcoming, attentive and genuinely helpful from check-in through to departure, which made the stay seamless.
The location is also excellent, particularly for anyone travelling for business, government-related work or simply wanting easy access to Canberra’s key attractions and parliamentary precinct.
A standout was the buffet breakfast, which offered a strong variety and quality selection. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and I would happily return when next visiting Canberra.

Sleepy TigerWe enjoyed our stay, The rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable. You won't hear any noise from the airport which is surprisingly good 👍
The breakfast buffet is great with good quality coffee and food provided.
Only downside is that the shower head was worn out, and we couldn't get it changed to overhead mode ( the nob was broken).

The room was spacious and clean, and the two large beds were perfect for a family stay. The hotel breakfast was fantastic; it was à la carte, with a main dish, a side dish, and a drink, and the quality was excellent. The hotel has a private, free parking lot accessible by a password. They also provide a washing machine and a dryer. Everything was great, except for the noise from the road in the morning if your room faces it.

The hotel boasts an incredibly convenient location. You can find almost everything you need within a 5-minute walk, from supermarkets to restaurants and bars. Parking is also hassle-free, with plenty of spaces available in the underground car park. The rates are very affordable, offering excellent value for money. This is genuinely an outstanding choice, especially for families visiting Canberra with children. While the room facilities aren't the newest, they are spotlessly clean, and the beds are wonderfully comfortable.

Good hotel with decent amenities and an excellent location, but the staff experience was extremely disappointing. We were travelling with a young child and requested a late checkout. They informed us it would be $30 to extend beyond 10 AM, so we agreed. We checked out at 11:45 AM, only to find they had charged $60, which felt unreasonable and misleading.
On top of that, housekeeping knocked 3-4 times, and their behaviour was shockingly rude. One staff member even said, “You have 2 minutes, just get out in 2 minutes,” which was completely unprofessional. I’ve stayed in many hotels and have never encountered staff speaking or behaving like this.
0/5 for staff behaviour.
If you care about service, I strongly recommend choosing a more reputable hotel. If you’re on a tight budget and only want to stay near Parliament and don’t mind compromising on service, then this place might work - but be prepared for poor staff interactions.

Guest UserWhat an amazing stay.
Everything was spotless, comfortable and a lot of thought put into what we would need as travellers.
Food was amazing for both breakfast and dinner. Best meals I’ve had in a long time.
The issue we had was difficulty with check in. There is not a ‘person’ there to help with anything.
We will definitely be back again!

Reception refused to provide tax invoice as this was a business trip. They advised I needed to go through trip.com but trip.com doesnt offer tax invoices.... otherwise, my room was all the way in the other side of the reception. Would have liked if there was another entrance on the other side of the reception. EVERYTHING ELSE IS JUST PERFECT!
