"Overall, it was pretty decent. The room rate in September was quite reasonable, and the location is convenient for getting around, situated in the Sakae business district. Several subway stations are within easy walking distance. The hotel was quite busy; I arrived around 3 PM for check-in and still had to wait for 10 minutes. The room wasn't small by Japanese standards, and it even had a massager, which was great for a quick massage after a long day of walking. The front desk area offered a coffee and cocoa machine, and the laundry room next door had an ice machine – all very convenient.
The only minor hiccup was that housekeeping misplaced my blanket. It took two days of back-and-forth communication to get it back. While their attitude was very polite, constantly apologizing, their service ultimately fell short. They only provided a hotel blanket as a temporary replacement *after* I specifically requested it. The entire process was very inefficient; once my blanket was located, they first sent a photo for my confirmation, which further delayed things, before finally sending someone to pick it up from the factory. I even had to alter my itinerary for the last day to wait for its return. Aside from verbal apologies, there was no compensation whatsoever. So, a traveler's note: always pack your personal items carefully before leaving the room..."

"I frequently stay at Sotetsu hotels, and I'm consistently pleased with their overall atmosphere and service quality. The provided amenities are incredibly comprehensive, including skincare lotion, emulsion, facial cleanser, cleansing oil, cotton pads, hair wax, hair mask, cotton swabs, hair ties, sunscreen, face masks, bath additives, and more. This particular hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Nagoya Station. There's also an underground passage leading to the hotel; it's a bit roundabout, but it's very convenient on rainy or extremely sunny days. (The Rikimaru Ramen next door is also quite good.)"

"my bf always stays at Comfort but at another branch, so that's why I chose this Comfort at Nagoya. at first, I thought it was right next to the train station, but it really took us 5-7mins walking from Fushimi station to the accomodation. since most exits of the stations are endless stairs, consider to bring light luggage so that you can easily travel to the hotel. the hotel is not really far from malls, izakayas, good restaurants, cafes and museums. it's walkable but gonna take a bit of your time.
we stayed for 2 nights, it was a pity that we couldn't eat breakfast here since we left early. the bed is comfortable but the blanket is a bit hot, the AC can be hot or cold sometimes. the highlight of the room is shampoo and body wash as they smell really really good. overall, I'm really impressed with everything Comfort provided us during our stay. definitely gonna choose this hotel again on our next trip to Nagoya."

"For convenient day trips, my initial thought was a hotel near Nagoya Station. However, I unexpectedly discovered that the Sakae area also offered free shuttle services for day tours, so I booked Comfort Hotel Sakae. It was very quiet, offered excellent value for money, and the view of the Ferris wheel right outside the window was fantastic."

"Stayed with BWH for nights.
Pros: The location is great. Only approx. 5 minutes walk to Sakae Station. There are many restaurants to go to. Convenience shops like Lawson and 7 eleven are just across the road. The double room itself is spacious by Japanese standards (as in the photo). Cleanness is superior. The hotel does routine daily cleaning services including replacing slippers and towels, etc. Almost all amenities are provided at the reception. Must mention that many things like face cleansing gel are from Pola.
Cons: The fridge makes clear noise (even when switched to level 1), so that I have to power off the fridge before sleeping. The soundproofing can be improved. I could hear laughter and natter from the next wall (their large voice did contribute though), especially when the night was very quiet. Another one is the small chair on the corner. It kept preventing me from accessing the window side of the bed. Should've chosen a better place to place it."

This hotel offers incredible value for money. It's perfectly located, just about 200 meters from Nagoya Station, with an abundance of izakayas nearby, making dining out extremely convenient. Our twin room even had the luxury of a wet-dry separated bathroom – a definite plus! The staff were diligent and well-trained, ensuring an incredibly efficient check-in process. Plus, there are two highly recommended breakfast spots right next door, Komeda and Hoshino, both excellent choices!"

"Room was the biggest during my trip. Stayed here to visit Studio Ghibli Park & Shirakawa go. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was super nice as well. Location wise - truly near the Shinkansen entrance. Just a 5 min walk. Super super recommend"

"The room was reasonably spacious, didn't feel cramped at all, and the front desk staff were very friendly. However, when I booked on Ctrip, there was an option for one adult and one child. Since my daughter is under 18, I selected that option. To my surprise, when I clicked, it somehow changed to a child under one year old. Upon arrival, the hotel asked me to pay an additional ¥3,000. I checked, and the walk-in rate for that day was actually cheaper than what I had originally paid, so adding ¥3,000 made it even more expensive. I tried to negotiate with the hotel, but they refused and told me to contact Ctrip. Ctrip also said there was nothing they could do, and I couldn't cancel the booking. It felt truly unfair, but I had no choice but to accept it. This option system is incredibly misleading; I clearly selected the correct one! I strongly advise anyone in a similar situation to double-check carefully to avoid making the same mistake.
On another note, the address is very close to the train station, but there's road construction happening right now. Plus, it was very sunny and hot in Nagoya, so walking to the hotel was still a bit tiring. Nagoya isn't really that exciting of a city."

"The room was spotless and very comfortable, with excellent bedding. The front desk staff were helpful, and communication was seamless thanks to their translation device. "Rooms and toilets are clean and staff were very friendly. Believe the hotel is relatively new, and I like the fact you need to ”touch/scan” your room key in the lift in order to select your floor, which make it extra safe, definitely a plus point.
Breakfast was good and really like the dining area, it's spacious, bright and clean, breakfast staffs are super friendly also.
Location of the hotel is great also, and it's in an inner street of a busy area, so it's quiet and yet convenient."

XxyyxyyOverall, it was a good stay! The hotel is conveniently located near the JR Shinkansen West Exit, with plenty of dining options nearby. I took a bit of a detour to the hotel after arriving at the station because I first went to the highway bus station. Coupled with the hot weather, it was quite tiring. However, upon check-in, the hotel offered cool towels, which was a very thoughtful touch, and they also had a selection of pillows available. Really appreciated that! The room was on the smaller side, but that's quite normal for hotels in Japan. Everything else was great. It would be even more convenient if they included shower caps among the amenities.

MMIKE0720I always stay here when I'm on a business trip. It's very close to Nagoya Station. The rooms feature large floor-to-ceiling windows, and the bathroom is very spacious. There's also a Lawson convenience store right downstairs. The only downside is the lack of an in-house breakfast; instead, they partner with a fast-food restaurant downstairs and provide meal vouchers. However, if you don't usually eat breakfast, it's not an issue.

GGuest UserExcellenlt location which near Nagoya amd bus stn. However, the hotel area looks so different in daytime and night time. During night time the youngsters will stand all over the places which outside the shops and approach the people whike walking there.. I don't feel good. The hotel location is located inside the food area (not at the main road) simply could find food during night time. Unfortunately daytime all closed. 5 mins walk to Nagoya Station. The hotel is clean and neat with newly facilities. And the room got many USB provided. However, the room NO window view amd window itself had pasted sticker on at the room 703. SAD!

I stayed one night before flying back tomorrow but breakfast start at 7.00, which I can not catch the flight on time if we had breakfast at hotel. So, we grabed a sandwich to had it on the way.

GGuest Userpros: room was clean and more spacious than expected! love that lounge pajamas and slippers were provided, along with many other amenities that can be easily collected at the lobby. friends and i thoroughly enjoyed relaxing with the daily free drink during happy hour and the public onsen. location is also good, it is near the river and many food options with bus stops and the subway in walkable distance. overall, good value for money.
cons: no safe. buffet breakfast provided is good and convenient, but the selection is quite limited and may get repetitive as it doesn't change. the preparation room before the onsen is small and can get quite cramped with more than 3 people.
however, the biggest reason for the poor service rating is that one of my friend's personal items got stolen during cleaning, and we were not given any explanation or follow up by the hotel after reporting it. though the stolen item was luckily not very expensive, it held great sentimental value and regardless, this is not the service or accountability you would expect from an established hotel chain in japan. i would still advise future guests to keep their belongings in their luggage and lock it when they step out for the day.

GGuest UserLocation wise it’s around 8 minutes walk to the nearest metro. Wouldn’t say far but definitely not near either. Rating I would give is 3.8/5. Not exactly at the most bustling district but there’s this main shopping district - Osu which is within walkable distance! Do head to take a look!
Else everything is definitely satisfactory. I love the breakfast buffet (served 6am to 9am) everyday. Selection of proteins is not bad. Free flow eggs… The menu differs slightly everyday.
Hot bath from 630am - 4:00pm and at evenings till the midnight. Feels great! (Didn’t take pics due other users’ privacy) It’s empty and there’s no one else whenever I went, so it feels exactly like a private space to relax.
Housekeepers are super friendly too. Toiletries are placed at the public areas in front of the receptionist. Do remember to take before you set into the hotel!

ロケーション的には、最寄りの地下鉄まで徒歩約 8 分です。遠いとは言えませんが、近いわけでもありません。評価は 3.8/5 です。最も賑やかな地区ではありませんが、歩いて行ける距離に大須という主要なショッピング街があります。ぜひ行ってみてください。
その他はすべて間違いなく満足です。私は毎日の朝食ビュッフェ (午前 6 時から午前 9 時まで) が大好きです。タンパク質の品揃えも悪くありません。卵のフリーフロー... メニューは毎日少しずつ異なります。
午前 6 時 30 分から午後 4 時まで、夕方から深夜まで温浴を楽しめます。最高です! (他のユーザーのプライバシーのため写真は撮っていません) いつ行っても空いていて誰もいなかったので、まさにプライベートな空間でリラックスしているような気分です。
ハウスキーパーもとてもフレンドリーです。トイレタリーは受付の前の公共エリアに置いてあります。ホテルに入る前に忘れずに持っていってください。
日本での良い経験になります。

GGuest UserThey said simple breakfast but it had a good variety of food. Curry rice seemed to be their speciality. People got up early during holidays and when I got there before 730, the restaurant was quite busy. Some trays were empty but they came to refill it soon after. The room is not big but it was a good size for a solo traveler. A bit far away from the Nagoya station but very easy to find. Notice there is another Meitetsu Inn in other side of the station so don’t go to a wrong one. They have self check in/out machines so it was easy and smooth. Staff are polite and friendly too.

AAnonymous UserIt’s alright very convenient but first day in the room it’s a bit dirty… there was hair on one of my pillows and food scraps on the chair and floor. I would recommend bringing covers for bed and your own towels. Other than that staff were very nice and they are all very willing to help. The only problem was the sanitary situation of the room.
