I was traveling back to my hometown before the Chinese New Year. I searched for hotels and B&Bs online for a long time and suddenly found this one. It had all good reviews and not a single bad one. I booked it for 2 nights out of curiosity, thinking it might be a scam, and ended up staying for 5 more nights.
Talk about your feelings:
1. The environment is really great. The hotel is designed in Nordic minimalist style, which is very photogenic. It is right by the Dongjiang River. If you book the right room, you can see the foggy Dongjiang River when you wake up (I didn't see it this time because it was the wrong season, it only appears in spring and summer). There is a small courtyard and a canopy on the lawn, so you can take photos in great shape no matter how you take them.
2. The service is excellent. My butler is Dudu. I have to mention her by name. She is very patient and will give you whatever you want.
3. The hygiene and details are also good, the standard is very high, the shower gel and shampoo are good, the only thing is that the disposable toothbrush can be improved, the bristles are uncomfortable to brush
4 Recommended room: Room 408, as shown in Figure 8, the room has a bathtub + balcony + bed, very photogenic, very beautiful, the room is super large, and the bed is very comfortable to sleep on
Summary: I planned to travel to Chenzhou for 3 days and 2 nights, but this homestay and the small attractions made me travel for 6 days and 5 nights. I was pleasantly surprised and highly recommended.

Thinking of getting up early to go to Dongjiang Lake, I looked for accommodation nearby. I didn't expect to find such a good B&B. We drove here and contacted the front desk directly to ask about the parking lot. The B&B does not have its own parking lot, so we have to park in the museum's parking lot, but fortunately the fee is not high, 20 yuan for 24 hours.
As soon as we entered the lobby, we smelled the fragrance of sweet potatoes. The front desk warmly invited us to eat roasted sweet potatoes. The local sweet potatoes roasted on charcoal were so fragrant. Even if I had eaten, I wanted to have another fragrant and sweet sweet potato. The service was great.
The layout of the lobby is very Chinese style, and you can also drink local specialty tea. The key is that it is free, which is great value for money! The rooms are super clean, the showers strong and the sheets and bed are luxurious. I booked the Mountain View which was very nice with a balcony but decided to upgrade to lake view when I arrived as the views were incredible! Loved the bath!!! The staff are so kind, friendly, helpful and always greet you with a smile. The boss and staff went out of their way to help me have the best time during my stay. The check in was simple and easy. Breakfast was a big bowl of delicious fresh noodles and an assortment of Chinese breakfast treats, along with tasty fresh local fruits! Every night they give you fresh local fruit after dinner too – so nice!
Looking directly over the lake, it’s 5 meters from a walking path right beside the lake and you can easily explore the whole area by foot from here, or rent bikes nearby to see more of the lakeline. It’s also very close to the boat that brings you to Phoenix Island so it’s very conviennent.
Navigating your way there is easy and there is plenty of free parking out front. From here you can walk into town to get dinner or some snacks which is only 5-10mins but has plenty of options. It’s far enough away that it’s very peaceful here at night and you can see the moon reflected on the water and sleep in peace.
Would really recommend this place for families, couples or friends travelling as it’s just wonderful! Can’t wait to come back and stay again!

This hotel really deserves the word ”garden”, which is a garden courtyard-style design. Because it's not facing the street, it's relatively quiet. The hotel is in a good location, just a few hundred meters walk to the Xiaodongjiang Visitor Center. There are many places to eat around, and the guest rooms are only on two floors.
