This hotel wasn't very crowded, and I'm so grateful to the owner for the free upgrade – it really enhanced our experience! The room was clean, the toiletries were high-quality, and there was a large screen TV. The butler service was very thoughtful, definitely a bonus! They even helped with our luggage! The common area on the first basement level was warmly decorated, and the back door on that level opens right onto the riverside, making for a great environment. If I ever go to Chenzhou or Zixing again, I'll definitely choose Zide!

For our first night driving through Chenzhou, we chose this guesthouse inside the scenic area. You can drive right to the guesthouse entrance, and the staff will help you with your luggage upstairs. The view upon entering was stunning, overlooking the Xiaodong River; the emerald green water instantly soothed the fatigue of the long drive. The room was very clean and fully equipped, with disposable cups, toilet seat covers, and face towels – a definite plus. However, because it's inside the scenic area, there aren't many places to eat or shop. But you can order in advance and have the restaurant cook for you; the food is just as good as what you'd find elsewhere. The No. 4 viewing area is only a few hundred meters away, and a short walk down the path you can see fishermen casting their nets. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

The boss and his family are very nice. We couldn't get a taxi when we came back from Bailang, so they helped us find a driver. The Meiren fish they recommended was also delicious. It was very comfortable to take a walk by the river in the evening. They also gave us souvenirs before we left, including customized mooncakes, local specialties dried fish and oranges. The room was just a little small, but we only slept there for one night. We got up early in the morning and walked along the river to see the fog-covered Xiaodong River.
