"This guesthouse is right across from Xiaodong River and Shoufo Temple on the opposite mountain. In the morning and evening, the clouds and mist swirl around, creating an ethereal, almost magical atmosphere. The decor is minimalist and serene, blending perfectly with nature. Every staff member at the front desk was incredibly helpful, providing great recommendations for food and attractions. The 'killing pig noodles' for breakfast were delicious! The Xiaodong River scenic area is just a 15-minute walk along the river from the guesthouse, and then it's directly across the road uphill from the dam. I recommend buying tickets online and using your ID to enter the park. If you're lucky, you won't need to rush early with the crowds. We enjoyed a leisurely walk after breakfast and only entered around 9 AM. We got off the bus at point 2 and walked to point 4, with mist swirling all along the way. There were hardly any people along the path at point 4, which was very pleasant. All in all, the guesthouse's location is superb; it's even lovely to just relax in the courtyard and do nothing."

"The price-performance ratio is very high, and the double bed room I stayed in was super big. I checked in during the Mid-Autumn Festival and there were not many guests. The front desk upgraded my standard king room to a deluxe king room for free. The hotel is a 3-minute walk from the Xiaodong River. It is convenient to walk or run along the riverside trail. The night view of Xiaodongjiang River from the rooftop on the 11th floor is also very beautiful. It is about 3 kilometers away from the Dongjiang Lake Visitor Center. I checked out in the morning and parked my car in the visitor center parking lot, which cost 10 yuan. Originally, I booked a hotel near the visitor center. There was no breakfast and it was expensive. I canceled my reservation and rebooked this hotel. It included breakfast. Even if I paid the extra 10 yuan parking fee at the visitor center, it was still a good deal."

"The most stunning thing was the unobstructed, first-line lake view directly facing Dongjiang Lake outside the window 🌊. I highly recommend the room with a private hot tub; the privacy is excellent. Soaking in the tub while enjoying the moon, with the river breeze blowing, just completely cured me. Dongjiang Lake is actually very sunny during the day. Staying at this hotel saved us from the scorching sun and crowds when circling the lake. You can enjoy 24-hour views of Dongjiang Lake right from your room – this is the kind of relaxed feeling a vacation should have."

"The design and aesthetics of Guanxia B&B are truly on point, with every corner being picture-perfect. It's super close to the Dongjiang Lake scenic area, so you don't have to rush to see the misty Xiaodongjiang. I especially want to praise the front desk lady; she's beautiful, gentle, and has a very sweet smile. She was incredibly patient during check-in. In the evening, we enjoyed the lake breeze and drank tea in the courtyard, truly experiencing a slow-paced life. Next time I come to Dongjiang Lake, I'll definitely stay here again!"

"The room was spacious, and the public areas were definitely worth the price. The photo op spot on the second floor was also a nice touch. We drove there, and parking was very convenient. When we used the bath, they proactively asked if we needed a bath liner, and they provided real, large towels (I'm so fed up with some B&Bs and hotels that only offer disposable ones). The complimentary breakfast was tasty, and if you weren't full, you could order another bowl of noodles for free. It was raining when we left, and the front desk staff specifically came out to offer me an umbrella. I told her we were leaving and wouldn't take it since we couldn't return it, but she said it was fine and not to get wet. Absolutely wonderful. Warm winter sun [Tea around the stove]: Tasted good. [Souvenir gift] Specialty Dongjiang small dried fish: They gave us a big bag, which saved me from having to buy souvenirs myself. Excellent. [Warm and attentive personal butler] Butler service: Very thoughtful."

"房間是絕絕子啊，老闆裝修是用了心，裝修風格非常nice，衞生乾淨，房間又大，大面積落地玻璃夜景優美，一線江景凈收眼底，下樓步行兩分鐘就到江邊。樓下麥當勞，KFC，商場，馬路斜對面還有個銀座茶樓有廣式早茶，對面還有本地人愛吃的魚粉，這民宿地理位置超好。老闆熱情好客，給了很多很好的建議。還有，老闆的茶好喝，來了不要客氣。"

"Dongjiang Lake is perfect for a relaxing trip. My friend and I compared several hotels before choosing this one, and its amenities and cleanliness perfectly met our expectations. We arrived quite late in the afternoon, and the owner, a truly wonderful and hospitable man, welcomed us as if we were family. I have to commend his excellent service! 👍 The room's floor was incredibly clean – a real treat for someone who loves walking barefoot. The room had absolutely no strange odors and the air felt very fresh. It even had a fresh air and dehumidification system, and surprisingly, their fresh air system is the same brand as mine at home, meaning both incoming and outgoing air are purified. The duvet was very dry, and all the towels and bath towels were disposable, even the toothbrush cups! You absolutely must try their shampoo; I loved it so much I bought a set from the owner to take home – it's really high-quality! We slept in quite late, completely oblivious to the time, thanks to the incredibly comfortable mattress – it turns out it's a Mousse mattress! Crucially, the soundproofing in this place is superb. Even though there's a walkway right downstairs, we couldn't hear a thing. The scenic area is just a short walk from the hotel's downstairs pathway. We didn't get to visit it, though, haha. The hotel is located right by the river, so you can enjoy the misty views from your room, and even from the hotel lobby. I travel many times a year and have a fair bit of experience choosing hotels. Lantingshu is the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, and its facilities and amenities are the best I've encountered. It's truly a high-quality establishment. Trust me, you won't regret staying here!"

"For our first night driving through Chenzhou, we chose this guesthouse inside the scenic area. You can drive right to the guesthouse entrance, and the staff will help you with your luggage upstairs. The view upon entering was stunning, overlooking the Xiaodong River; the emerald green water instantly soothed the fatigue of the long drive. The room was very clean and fully equipped, with disposable cups, toilet seat covers, and face towels – a definite plus. However, because it's inside the scenic area, there aren't many places to eat or shop. But you can order in advance and have the restaurant cook for you; the food is just as good as what you'd find elsewhere. The No. 4 viewing area is only a few hundred meters away, and a short walk down the path you can see fishermen casting their nets. Overall, a very satisfying stay."
