GGuest UserI cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible hospitality Jason showed me during my stay. This wasn’t just a place to sleep; it was a place where I felt genuinely cared for.
Jason went above and beyond in every way possible. He was kind enough to store my luggage for ten days and even allowed me an early check-in on the morning I arrived. When my flight schedule changed and I had to cancel one night, he was incredibly understanding and helped me through the process—even letting me check out late so I could head straight to the airport.
The facilities were top-notch: a steady supply of ramen available anytime, an excellent washer and dryer with free detergent provided—small details that made a huge difference for a traveler.
The highlight of my trip was staying in the room next to Jason. He treated me like a dear friend, inviting me to share meals every time he cooked and even treating me to fine Chinese liquor. We shared so many great conversations.
I hope future guests understand that such kindness is a reflection of Jason’s wonderful character, not something to be taken for granted. I am writing this in hopes that people who will cherish this place and appreciate his warmth as much as I did will find their way here. “Thank you, Jason, for being the best host I’ve ever met.“

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for one night, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the best short stays I’ve had in a long time. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations.
The host was absolutely amazing — extremely helpful, responsive, and professional throughout the entire stay. They answered all of my questions quickly, even after I had already checked in, which made the whole experience feel very smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to find that level of attentiveness and genuine care.
The view was simply stunning. I loved the beautiful water view — waking up and seeing the water right outside was such a peaceful and memorable experience. It truly elevated the entire stay.
The unit itself was spotless and exceptionally clean. You can tell that a lot of care goes into maintaining the space. Everything felt fresh, organized, and very well taken care of.
The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, which made it so convenient to prepare our own dinner. Having a proper kitchen setup really makes a difference, especially for a comfortable and relaxed night in.
The location is another huge plus. The area is fantastic — so many restaurants and bars within walking distance, and even grocery stores nearby. Being able to walk everywhere made the stay even more enjoyable and convenient.
Overall, this place is a solid 10/10. I would absolutely stay here again without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, well-located place to stay downtown. Truly a five-star experience!

1118126****The location is good, in North York near the highway. The hotel is relatively clean, but the mattress is uncomfortable; it feels like the springs have collapsed. The breakfast is so-so, just a typical continental breakfast.

GGuest UserThe biggest advantage of this accommodation is definitely the location. I also found the price to be affordable and reasonable.
That said, there were also some downsides. In the kitchen, the pots and frying pans provided were very old and worn out. In addition, the sink leaked, so whenever I used water, it would drip out and I had to keep wiping it up.
As for the heating system, it seemed to have a lot of dust in it, which caused my nose to feel constantly stuffy and made me cough. There was also quite a bit of dust in general, as some areas did not seem to have been cleaned thoroughly. Since only some of the windows could be opened, it was also inconvenient to ventilate the room properly. The refrigerator had a slight odor as well.
These are areas that seem to need improvement.

GGuest UserVery good place to stay. Only thing is the bed is hard. That was my main problem with the room I had, so ask for soft bed. And the room only had an extension cord to charge my outlet across the room. Good thing I brought my long charger. It feels like no one is there besides you and host is very attentive to what you need.

环环球旅行的小杨I had a fantastic experience staying at Samesun Toronto. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk to public transit, Chinatown, and plenty of restaurants. It’s easy to get anywhere in the city.
Rooms & Beds
The dorm rooms are clean and comfortable. Each bed has its own curtain, light, and outlet, which provides great privacy. The mattress was comfortable, and the room temperature was perfect throughout my stay.
Cleanliness & Facilities
The common areas are cleaned daily, and the bathrooms are well-maintained with reliable hot water. The shared kitchen is fully equipped, making it easy to cook your own meals—perfect for long-term travelers or those on a budget.
Atmosphere & Social Life
The hostel has a very friendly and welcoming vibe. Guests come from all around the world, and the social atmosphere makes it easy to meet new friends. The common lounge is spacious and a great place to relax, work, or chat with other travelers.
Staff
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick, and they gave me great local tips about transportation, sightseeing, and food options around Toronto.

GGuest UserFirst of all, thank you for the free upgrade. The views from both the bedroom and the living room were excellent, and the space was large enough for a group of friends to relax, especially with the poker and foosball tables. The location is also great, right in downtown.
However, the shower amenities could be improved, particularly the shampoo and body wash, and the toothpaste looked quite messy (fortunately I brought my own). The soundproofing is also not ideal, as I could hear the couple in the next room talking, and I felt a bit uncomfortable using the bathroom and blow‑drying my hair after coming back late from a concert.
The check‑in time is quite rigid at 4 p.m., although they do allow you to delay check‑in until 7:30 p.m. I was initially confused because I waited for over 10 minutes at the original building (before the upgrade) and wasn’t sure if the receptionist would come to pick me up. Once we met, though, the receptionist was very friendly and clearly explained the amenities and check‑out procedures.
Overall, despite the strict rules and minor issues, I really liked the room and had a happy stay.

MMacDougallI swore off comfort inn motels a couple of years ago, but I was desperate and this one was close to the airport for a fight diversion. They offered a shuttle service which took an hour and a 15 to get to me, 45 minutes longer than the 30 minute wait I was told.
Room was clean, modern and the usual comfort inn smell. Bed and pillows comfortable. Good breakfast, again, not the usual comfort inn fruit loops and bagels
