Toilet not flushing properly. Corrected after I raised the problem with staff. Toilet paper roll holder loose. Corrected after I raised the problem with staff. Elevators often very slow. One time it was on service and cleaner asked us to take another elevator. This hotel is slipping due to benign neglect. I only stay there because of location.

The hotel was fantastic, great location and great facilities. The staff were also top class, extremely helpful and polite. Nathaly on reception ensured we were not only up to date of what the hotel could offer but provide a city map and pointed out lots of areas of interest for us to explore. Matthew in the concierge team was equally helpful and polite, leading use directly into the subway from the hotel to prevent us needing to carry heavy cases down the steep steps at the external entrance. The location is perfect, a ten-minute walk from the Union Station and just adjacent to the ferry pier to Toronto Island. The ferry just cost 8.70 CAD for round trip for 20 mins. It is a nice place to visit, especially those who enjoy nature. We booked a room facing the lake, which is highly recommended. It is a real picture taken in the early morning from the window. The room service is nice and the buffet breakfast with lots of varieties of food. I needed to have a zoom meeting, and the internet service is stable. Though it is a paid service, it was waived as I am Bonvoy Member. Do join their membership.

Good location and nice king size bed room Just wifi needs to pay and free for Marriott member only I am the Marriott member but during the check out , it charges me wifi fee , after discussion, then it was waived as I am the member , I would suggest to Offer free wifi for hotel customers as this is very common in all other high class hotels

At first glance, the hotel looks very new. The back of the hair dryer is covered in dust. There are two bottles of shower gel but no shampoo... I was speechless when I opened my head. I could only console myself that it was someone else's foundation that was not washed off. What else can I say? At 9 o'clock in the morning, the room service knocked hard on the door. Do you still need to help me clean the house if I only stay for one night?

The hotel is located within 10min drive from Toronto airport, which is very convenient for transit passengers. The hotel offers free shuttle to and from airport every 30 minutes. The restaurant opens till 11pm and has a reasonable menu to choose from.  Overall, good experience as we only stayed for one night for our onward journey.

I’m a big fan of the Canopy brand in general, but I have a hard time loving this particular Canopy. It seems like it’s designed more to look great than to be great. For example, the electric controls next to the bed are unnecessarily complicated— there’s about 9 buttons to control different lights and shades and things, and it isn’t easily usable. You have to hunt through all of them and try to remember the difference between the sconce light and the halo. It’s needlessly complex and that makes it harder to use. There is also a motion-activated night light under the bed, so if you get up in the middle of the night, it shines a light for you, which isn’t great if your partner if sleeping or even if you yourself want to try to go back to sleep. The night light is hyper sensitive, so it activates even if you just lay in bed and dangle your leg down. And there’s no way to disable it. If you don’t want lights going off every time you get out of bed, you have to shove a pillow under the bed to block the motion sensor or cover up the light. I love the filtered water/ice stations (one of my favorite parts about canopy hotels!) but the ones I used here seemed a lot more temperamental than others. You have to hold your water bottle at exactly the perfect angle before water will dispense, but since there’s no instructions, you have to poke around til you figure it out. There’s no little shelf in the shower stall, so if you bring your own toiletries, you have to either put them on the shower floor or balance them on top of the wall-mounted toiletry bottles. I also didn’t love that there’s no door on the bathroom and only frosted glass around the toilet cubicle. The bed was great — very comfy — and the blackout shades were an excellent touch. Very convenient location, close to the subway. And the decor is beautiful, very sleek and bright. It just all feels like it was designed without any context of how a guest will actually interact with all these things.

I stayed here during the Toronto International Film Festival and I don't ever want to stay anywhere else. The location is ideal; the service is impeccable; the rooms are spacious, well-designed, and spotless; and the food is to die for. Upon check in, I was upgraded to a Junior Suite, which made my weeklong stay all the more comfortable. The bathtub, Japanese toilet, and views were the most impressive part of the room. As I got settled, I texted the front desk for additional hangers, and they arrived almost immediately. We had drinks at the bar that night, which were spot on. Every morning, I stopped by the cafe for a croissant, which was always fresh and delicious. Sleeping was heavenly in the massive bed and the room was always silent. We had breakfast in the Deauville Club on the last day, and I wish I had known about it sooner. I will be setting all my meetings there next year. This is the best kept secret in Toronto and I can't wait to go back.

The entrance is NOT on Yonge street. But the location is excellent and the customer service is amazing. It’s not a new hotel but is clean and big. I didn’t get to use it, but there is a laundry room on the first floor and it’s free for the guests! I highly recommend this hotel.
