With a stay at Swing and Pillows at Mahkota Parade in Malacca City, you'll be within a 15-minute walk of Jonker Street Night Market and Mahkota Parade Shopping Mall. This hotel is 0.2 mi (0.3 km) from Menara Taming Sari and 0.3 mi (0.5 km) from Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall. This smoke-free hotel offers complimentary parking nearby. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Make yourself at home in one of the 17 guestrooms. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Housekeeping is provided daily, and irons/ironing boards can be requested.

"Spent 1 night, nothing to complaint, bargain deal as stay on weekdays. If you have elderly family member, maybe not a choice as walk-up staircase. Free water dispenser, iron and ironing board. Need to install Malacca parking apps as no free parking but very cheap parking fee. Overall good budget hotel, walking distance to Mahkota Parade (10 minutes walk)"

UjongPasir ModenHouse - Karaok/MsgChair/ArcadeGame

Amazing

I was there with 13 of my friends. To our surprise, the whole unit is very clean, much higher than our expectation. The beds are clean, the toilets are clean, the karaoke system is very good (according to one of my friends who sings a lot), the TV comes with different channels catering to young and old, the kitchen is in tip top with all the cutlery. Can park 3 cars inside the porch and 1 car outside, suits groups with a few cars. Service from the Management Team is responsive, even when I messaged them in the middle of the night on the day when we were supposed to check in. Location is around 20 minutes drive to Jonker Street or surrounding ”famous” eateries. 5 minutes walk to a nearby Chinese coffee shop selling Chinese food and a Muslim eatery selling Muslim food. Convenient for those who just want to have a simple coffee and food for breakfast. Will definitely book this place again if I were to go to Malacca again with a big group of friends or family. Highly recommended.

This hostel is absolutely fantastic! The location is superb – super close to the Stadthuys, Jonker Street, and St. Paul's Hill. You can get here directly from Malacca Central Station by taking the M100 bus; it's about a 10-minute walk from the Hatten Hotel bus stop. The ground floor is a common area with a washing machine, dryer, kitchen, and even a media room, plus lots of cats! I stayed on the third floor this time, and you do have to carry your own luggage up, so keep that in mind if you have big bags. It's great that the bathroom, toilet, and washbasins are all on the same floor. The only minor point is that each bed only has one power outlet, which might not be enough, but there are extra outlets in the room that you can use with an adapter, so that makes up for it.

The first picture shows the hotel exterior, taken from across the street. The interior matches the product description. We stayed in a family room with one large and one small bed. The hotel isn't brand new, but the staff were very friendly. It's easy to get a taxi from here; it's not far from the Red Square or the Melaka Straits Mosque, but a taxi is still the most convenient option. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs, which is really handy. Jonker Street has a night market from Friday to Sunday evenings, which is much livelier than during the week. If you're visiting, I'd recommend going on a weekend for a more authentic experience.

This is my second stay here. We booked a deluxe double room and got a ground-floor room right behind the front desk. The room wasn't huge, but it wasn't cramped either; there was still enough space to sit. There were plenty of outlets, the air conditioning worked well, and there was also a fan. The room was clean and smelled good, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. In the wardrobe, there were several hangers that seemed to have been left by previous guests. The bathroom provided soap and shampoo, and the water pressure was good. There was no drinking water in the room, but you could always get water from the dispenser behind the front desk. Tea and coffee were also available.

Melaka is definitely worth an overnight stay; many people just do day trips, but Melaka at night has a special charm. E’ House is run by a Chinese family, so communication in Chinese was very smooth. The room had a lovely Nanyang-style vibe, and the facilities were excellent. Although the soundproofing wasn't great, the customer service assistant responded immediately after we gave feedback, and we still managed to get a good night's sleep. From the guesthouse, it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the Melaka River, and then you can follow the river all the way to Jonker Street.

Overall, the experience was acceptable the ocation was convenient about a 10-15 minute ride to the city centre, which made getting around quite easy. However, there were several issues during our stay Cleanliness: We noticed some smallinsects on the floor. While it didn't significantly affect aur stay, it would be better if the rooms could be more thoroughly checked and cleaned. Customer Service: All communication had to be done online through WhatsApp, as there was no face-to-face front desk service. This was quite unconventional and sometimes made things less convenient when we needed assistance urgently. Room Equipment: One of the air conditioners in our room kept switching on and off by itself and wasn't functioning properly. Even more concerning, the hairdryer had a short circuit, produced a burning smell, and even sparked flames. This was a frightening experience, and although it was eventually replaced, waiting a full day for such a serious issue was very disappointing.

If you are an expat exploring Malacca on a budget, 906 Hotel Melaka Raya is a fantastic choice. The property stands out with its charming vintage furniture and incredibly comfortable beds that guarantee a great night's sleep. It is immaculately clean and offers unbeatable value for money. The highlight is the unique lobby trophy showcase, reflecting the owners' passion for basketball. Complete with super friendly service and an amazing night staff guy, it is a highly recommended, welcoming stay. 4 Nearby Attractions to Explore Conveniently located in the commercial heart of Melaka Raya, you are just minutes away from these top local highlights: **A Famosa (Porta de Santiago): Located less than 2 km away, this iconic 16th-century Portuguese fortress gateway is one of the oldest surviving European architectural remains in Southeast Asia. **Melaka Straits Mosque (Masjid Selat Melaka): A stunning modern mosque built on a man-made island just down the road. At high tide, it looks as though it is gracefully floating on the sea. Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall: Right around the corner, this massive retail hub is perfect for shopping, local eateries, and escaping the afternoon heat. Jonker Street Night Market: Just a short drive or a steady walk away across the river, this vibrant weekend market is the ultimate destination for antique hunting, cultural street art, and legendary local street food like chicken rice balls and Nyonya laksa.

I recently stayed at this budget hotel, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. While the check-in process via WhatsApp was smooth and convenient, the overall condition of the hotel was poor. The biggest issue was the cleanliness. The room did not feel well maintained, and the bedsheets and towels were old, worn out, and noticeably yellowish, which made the stay quite uncomfortable.

The location is very strategic nearby the red church which is the tourists attraction, also surrounding by famous cafe & bakery. So it’s easily to go anywhere, the road kinda busy but it’s still find for us to sleep. The room is enough for two people and it’s clean. Cute interior of the places, no receptionist standby at the place need to go to the next building if you have stuffs to ask.

This small, Chinese-run guesthouse's biggest draw is its excellent location. It's just a short walk to numerous restaurants, shops, and Malacca's Old Town. However, the facilities are quite dated. The air conditioning in my first room kept leaking, so I had to switch rooms. The AC in the second room also didn't cool well, but I just put up with it. I figured all their rooms probably had similar issues, so changing again wouldn't make much difference. Even the bath towels were torn and frayed. Given the low price, I couldn't really be too critical. After all, you get what you pay for, haha!
