The Xiaodongjiang Scenic Area is conveniently located less than a ten-minute walk to the right of the homestay entrance. Parking right outside is also safe and secure.
The room was spotless. The mattress had the perfect balance of firmness and softness, and the pillows were incredibly comfortable, guaranteeing a good night's rest. As someone who is very particular about beds, I can confidently say my sleep quality was excellent, easily a 90/100. I was so comfortable that I completely forgot to take photos of the room!
Additionally, I must give a special shout-out to the showerhead and water temperature. They were the best I've encountered on this entire road trip – so easy and convenient to use. I even took pictures because I plan to replace mine with a similar one when I get home! I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Chenzhou.
Right next door to the homestay, there's a rice noodle breakfast shop run by a military wife. It opens early, around 5 AM every day. If you're planning to wake up at 6 AM to catch the misty morning fishing nets on the Dongjiang River, grabbing breakfast there is incredibly convenient.
