Our store is located directly under the south gate of Jianshui Ancient City, Lin'an Town, Jianshui County. We provided more than just a clean set of sheets, the room was small but comfortable. We also pay more attention to providing a platform for traveling friends to learn and communicate with each other. The youth hostel has a reading corner where young people can read and study. There is a coffee table in the lobby where everyone can chat and exchange "what they have seen and heard around the world." The youth hostel has its own courtyard, allowing travelers to relax and enjoy the fun of life. They gave up big and luxurious hotels and chose a simple and comfortable way to visit Jianshui.

I enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The environment was great, both from the staff and the guests. Really made me, the only foreigner, feel comfortable among them. Also very close to the best value noodles place I have yet found in SE Asia, and to the Ancient Town, and provided a good value bike rental (very solid bike). Riding it along the ancient train itinerary was her highlight of my Jianshui visit.

I arrived at the youth hostel at around 9pm. I booked it immediately after seeing the room. The room was clean and comfortable, well ventilated, and both the room and the bathroom had windows. The bedding was also clean, and the room was quite large. There was a large platform on the top floor, which was very comfortable to sit and enjoy the breeze at night. I will stay at this youth hostel again next time I go to Jianshui. The boss was also very nice. I didn't eat after arriving, so he recommended Lao Er BBQ nearby. I couldn't find it on the map, but it was delicious!

The rooms are located inside a historic stone and wood building that has been renovated respecting the culture of the place, creating very large rooms, in style, equipped with all possible technological comforts. The owner, Lawrence, speaks perfect English (a very rare thing to find in Jiuanshui), is a highly cultured person and can help you solve any type of problem as well as accompanying you on visits to the surroundings, making you enter the heart of Yunnan. It is the best place I have stayed in Yunnan, without a doubt. In this place I left my heart, respect and affection for Lawrence and all the staff.

Impossible to find a better place in Jianshui.

After choosing several hotels near Zitao Street, I finally found a suitable one. Tiancheng Hotel is clean and has good service. The surrounding environment is also good, and there are many delicious foods nearby. The standard room I stayed in at the beginning cost less than 100 yuan. Later, I saw that the deluxe king-size bed room was not expensive either, so I tried it. The floor-to-ceiling windows on the front wall have a panoramic view of the scenery outside. The room is well equipped. It is really enjoyable to sit in the armchair and look at the night view outside. I will stay here again next time.

The room has good lighting, and there is no humidity when living on the first floor. GGuest UserThis guesthouse exceeded all our expectations. The incredibly lovely and helpful owners treated us so well, we were made to feel like family. As first time China travellers with no language skills we so benefitted from their local knowledge and they wen out of their way to make our stay the best it can be. We were invited to have grilled tofu with the other guests and loved the atmosphere of this B&B. The room was sparkling clean, the bed very comfortable and we had all we needed. The breakfast was superb and they catered very well to our dietary needs (vegetarians). The location is also great for visiting the ancient city. Do yourself a favour and stay there if you visit Jianshui.

Environment: 50 meters away from the north gate, surrounded by commercial areas, very convenient, whether entering or leaving the ancient city. It's also very quiet. There are only 4 rooms in total, so it's not noisy.
Service: The boss is very enthusiastic, and the hotel is also designed by the boss himself. There are very few styles of homestays in Jianshui, and the configuration is also very complete. The shower gels all have very high-end smells. It would be better if body lotion was added. However, the price of around 300 is really cost-effective, and it is in the ancient city area. The boss will also recommend nearby attractions, and the privacy is good.

YYunyousihaiBG一大家人定了4間房住了兩晚到建水古城住在他家，剛好把小院包了，，環境古香古色，老闆熱情耿直，房間乾淨，家人都非常滿意舒服，我都是做酒店行業，不比高星級酒店差。所以必須認真評論，第二天礦泉水，牙刷，一次性馬桶圈套都重新填補，主動詢問衞生需不需要打掃。最主要環境真心好。裝修細節就可以看出來。晚上老闆主動把座椅放在小院我們休息聊天，下次有機會再到建水必須再住這裏

MMuestraWhen we first arrived in Jianshui, we met the warm family of Yunyin Inn. The couple from Shandong gave us warm hospitality. When we first arrived, they greeted us for tea and chat, and introduced us to Yunnan’s unique Shengpu and various pottery products. Recommended several special dishes. In the evening, we went to eat and walk in the ancient city of Jianshui. We were gradually attracted by the weather and the slow pace of life here, so we stayed one more night.
The next day, the boss took us to Shuanglong Kiln to make pottery and see the Seventeen-hole Bridge. The boss’s friend Vulcan treated us warmly and cooked us a table of delicious dishes. We drank a few glasses of beer and looked at the sky. The stars, the warm evening breeze, and the delicious food made me fall deeply in love with this place.
The inn is very clean and the landlady is very diligent. When I said my pillow was uncomfortable, she immediately changed it to a latex pillow. Although there is no air conditioning, the weather is very comfortable at night and turning on a fan is enough. There is also a small corner on the second floor where you can read a book. When you are tired, you can drink tea and chat downstairs... In short, thank you for meeting the warm family of Yunyin Inn. We will definitely meet again when we have time!

CChuang HwakConveniently located inside the atmospheric old town, about 4mins easy walk from the South Gate or 7mins from the landmark East Gate - most part of the busy old town are closed to traffic from 9am daily. Hotel staff are friendly, helpful and the owner a great host with good travel advice. Room on the second floor was brighter and much more pleasant!

Location : a 5mn walk from the Old city, and from lots of restaurants at night. very easy to find.
Staff : very nice staff! Despite not speaking English, they tried their best to please me. They helped me book a taxi, and talk to the driver. I was disappointed I was not in the building with the garden, and granted me access to the garden part.
Hotel : Congratulations to the designer, who is a VERY talented person. The design, mixing old and new, is absolutely stunning. It respects tradidtions, but with a twist.
the garden is exceptional. having the tea there was one of the highlights of my entire trip.
Rooms : they are super luxurious, huge, with marble bathrooms and Japanese toilets. But a loise of traffic noise from mine.
Only downside : this hotel is made of two buildings, which are on the other side of the street. The fish tank building has this amazing fisthtank, but it located in a VERY noisy street. My bedroom was overlooking the street, it was difficult in the morning. The garden building is super calm in an alley, all the rooms are overlooking this incredible old garden, no noise. I would recommend the owner to clearly indicate in which building the rooms are during the booking to avoid any potential disappointment upon arrival. rooms in the fishtank part are the cheapest.
Overall I was happy with my stay, it's one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed in. But beware of the building you are booking to avoid surprises! I wish I had stayed longer.

GGuest UserStanding on the roof, you can see the Ximen Qingyuan Gate very close to you, and it is also very close to Osaka Well. It is really the wisest choice for me on this trip. The inn is simple and elegant, and you can go to Osaka Well to get water and drink tea. The most important thing is The room is as comfortable as any mid- to high-end hotel outside, but the price is very affordable.
