"This charming homestay is tucked away on a quiet side street, just a quick 2-minute walk from the main Lianian Street. My friends and I loved the beautiful courtyard and traditional architecture — it really captured the local character of Jianshui.
We only stayed one night, right after the Golden Week holidays, and were pleasantly surprised that the staff could arrange spacious rooms for us on the same second floor (I’d recommend choosing the second floor over the first). The staff were friendly and very responsive to our questions and requests.
One thing to note: because it’s designed in a traditional courtyard style, you can hear other guests talking if you leave your windows open — but that’s part of the authentic atmosphere!"

"Traveling with elderly parents and children, the environment was excellent. The parking lot is exclusively for hotel guests and is conveniently located right next to the hotel within the ancient city, making parking very easy. The breakfast pastries were quite tasty. The staff was enthusiastic, and the room amenities were good, especially the small courtyard which was perfect for sunbathing, chatting, and drinking tea. The hotel is also very close to the Zhujia Grand Courtyard, Lin'an Government Office, Kaopeng Courtyard, Wenmiao Temple, and Zhu De's former residence."

"The Hotel is in the Old Town, only 150m to the Chongwen Pagoda. The room is perfectly clean and they also cleaned it every day. We had a really comfortable bed and slept well.
Our highlight were the hosts. They were really helpfull, invited ous for the local homemade tofu dinner and organized our following transport. We felt really welcome in the hotel!"

Every time I come and go, the young lady at the front desk always greets me politely, showing excellent service awareness. All these reasons contribute to why I keep extending my stay. "The Lin'an Hotel was the most satisfying part of our trip to Jianshui this Chinese New Year. If I could give it 100 points, I'd give it 99. There were three main advantages: First, the location is incredibly convenient – a mere 6-minute walk diagonally across the street to Zhu Family Garden. Second, the hotel breakfast was abundant and delicious, easily outperforming 95% of the famous restaurants in the old town. Third, the room facilities were excellent, and the hotel staff were highly professional. The only minor drawback was the longer wait for the elevator during peak times (though this shouldn't be an issue outside of major holidays like Chinese New Year or National Day). Overall, I was extremely satisfied and very grateful."

"On the first day of playing in Jianshui, I was very much fanned by this hotel!
The room was much more comfortable than I expected. The log wind design was clean and healing. The bed was soft and I didn't want to move when I lay on it. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, the hair dryer and toiletries are all complete, and the details are super intimate.
The most surprising thing is that the TV has its own Jianshui attractions and food maps, which directly saves me the time to do the strategy! Outside the window is the small courtyard with white walls and gray tiles. When the weather is good, the sun shines in, and the atmosphere is directly full.
Living comfortably, playing is also worry-free, friends who come to Jianshui can really close their eyes!"

Pear blossom wood furniture feels the trend of distant times, while mousse mattresses feel the sleeping sensation in the clouds. The room space is large, with standard and single rooms having 1.8-meter large beds, arrow shaped bathrooms, 24-hour hot water for you to enjoy, large room space, dry and wet separation, toilets and squatting pits in the bathroom. The inn offers free parking, and public tea rooms and laundry rooms for guests to use, making them feel at home. Welcome to stay!
"The location is very good, in the corner of the ancient city, quiet in the middle of noisy, not far from the pedestrian street, but it is very convenient to travel by taxi. "This inn is located right in the ancient town, which is incredibly convenient for exploring. It's actually an old building within the town, full of history and charm. The courtyard is absolutely beautiful, covered in stunning cannonball flowers, which creates such a wonderful atmosphere. The staff, especially one lovely young woman, was fantastic and even gave us a free room upgrade. I absolutely loved this inn!"

The service was in place. There was a fruit plate every day. Auntie saw that we liked to eat sunshine roses. We gave it to us, and the room was satisfied and quiet. Sleep well.

GGuest UserI booked Fanqi B&B after reading online reviews. On the morning of the day I submitted the order, I received a call from the store telling me about the nearby parking lot. I arrived at the B&B that night and found that the small front door was a different world from the inside. The four-entry courtyard has a history of a hundred years. The store owner was very enthusiastic and upgraded our room and introduced the historical story of the courtyard. He also provided us with scenic spots and food guides for visiting Jianshui. The room and bathroom were also very clean, the hot water temperature was very high, the breakfast was very rich and provided according to our requirements. The B&B also provided free Hanfu for us to take photos and barbecue around the stove. Traveling off-peak, there are not many tourists. We found the feeling of home in Fanqi, which made us start a pleasant journey

The location was perfect—peaceful, yet just a short walk or ride to Jianshui's historic old town, the Confucius Temple, and the beautiful Zhu Family Garden. The architecture and local atmosphere were charming, and we felt like we got a real taste of traditional Yunnan culture.
Our hosts also provided great suggestions for local food and sights, which made our trip even more memorable. This homestay was the perfect base for discovering the beauty and history of Jianshui.

YYigexiaomoI'm a lazy person who rarely writes reviews, but this time I was deeply moved by the owner and his family. Even the cleaning lady was so friendly and lovely. It truly revitalized my solo trip to Jianshui. The hotel is perfectly located, away from the hustle and bustle, yet very close to the train station and the ancient city—just over a hundred meters away. There are many traditional rice noodle shops just outside the door, so you can leisurely fill your stomach before heading out to explore.
When I was going to and from the station, the owner drove a tricycle to the intersection to pick me up, worried about the inconvenience of lugging my luggage, even though it was only a few steps away. In the morning, when they saw me in the room, they asked if I wanted breakfast (my reservation didn't include it). I had already eaten, but the owner insisted on giving me an egg for protein and a box of brown sugar before I left. The ladies said they'd come back next year, and I replied, ”I'll be back in two months!” ❤️
I'm from the north, and this family is so gentle and polite. The entire inn is elegant and grand. The two-story courtyard is surrounded by bougainvillea, where you can swing on the swings, watch the moon, drink tea, and chat—it's so relaxing. The interior is on par with a four-star hotel in the city, with separate wet and dry areas, disposable towels, and brand-new hard and soft furnishings. The air is also very airy. I don't like old, dingy hotels, so this truly felt like home!
Thank you again to the owner for his thoughtful hospitality. He booked me a train ticket in the middle of the night, provided me with food, drinks, and hairbands, and offered travel advice along the way. Please keep driving! I'll be back with friends.

Location: Located in the city, not the ancient city, quiet at night, convenient taxi, to various attractions, about 10 minutes ～ a few good barbecues from the hotel, tried it, it was really good
Facilities: The architectural style combines local characteristics and modern architectural advantages. Quiet, comfortable and soundproof.～ I especially like the simple wooden ～ The way of enclosing fully reflects the advantages of combining nature and architecture. Sitting in the corridor at night can enjoy the moon and the daylight drops. Directly mapped on green plants and sculptures, as if a dynamic painting ～ Before leaving, I took a few sets, and they were exquisite everywhere.

For the surrounding construction seen in the previous evaluation, for me who sleeps quietly, it is completely unaffected. ～ Maybe one is the soundproofing of the window, and the other is a certain distance. The other party starts work late.

This stay was a complete surprise! The hotel completely changed my perception of traditional hotels. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt the immense care put into every detail.
In terms of hardware facilities, the modern design of the public areas made me feel very comfortable and sophisticated, with no hint of being outdated. The in-room facilities were very complete and comfortable, especially the mattress – it was just the right firmness with excellent support, allowing me to lie down and relax completely, ensuring a super comfortable night's sleep. The whole environment was decorated very warmly, giving a 'welcome home' feeling as soon as you entered.
The service experience was an even bigger bonus. Every staff member had a kind smile, and their service was incredibly warm and attentive. From check-in to check-out, every step made me feel respected and valued.
Overall, this is a hotel with a beautiful environment and excellent service. I highly recommend it to all travelers seeking quality!

Location : a 5mn walk from the Old city, and from lots of restaurants at night. very easy to find.
Staff : very nice staff! Despite not speaking English, they tried their best to please me. They helped me book a taxi, and talk to the driver. I was disappointed I was not in the building with the garden, and granted me access to the garden part.
Hotel : Congratulations to the designer, who is a VERY talented person. The design, mixing old and new, is absolutely stunning. It respects tradidtions, but with a twist.
the garden is exceptional. having the tea there was one of the highlights of my entire trip.
Rooms : they are super luxurious, huge, with marble bathrooms and Japanese toilets. But a loise of traffic noise from mine.
Only downside : this hotel is made of two buildings, which are on the other side of the street. The fish tank building has this amazing fisthtank, but it located in a VERY noisy street. My bedroom was overlooking the street, it was difficult in the morning. The garden building is super calm in an alley, all the rooms are overlooking this incredible old garden, no noise. I would recommend the owner to clearly indicate in which building the rooms are during the booking to avoid any potential disappointment upon arrival. rooms in the fishtank part are the cheapest.
Overall I was happy with my stay, it's one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed in. But beware of the building you are booking to avoid surprises! I wish I had stayed longer.

GGuest UserWe felt very welcomed right from the moment we stepped in. Front Counter staff were friendly n helpful. Kudos to 小李 & 苹 (the boss) who were very warm n hospitable.
Although lunch was optional, the boss actually called us while we were out to ask if we would like to come back for lunch, without hvg us pay for it. She said she treated us like friends coming over for a meal. We really appreciated that gesture.
Everything was great, from rooms, cleanliness to amenities, free flow of tea in the lobby.
Only not so good thing is the cobbled road leading to the rooms which made it difficult to roll our luggage. Breakfast is mostly the usual 米线 and local stuff. Its good if u don't mind their local style breakfast food.
Overall I am satisfied with this place.
