We booked this hotel in Jianshui Ancient City through Ctrip. Upon arrival, the lovely owner, seeing that we were older, kindly arranged a large room on the first floor for us. She also recommended several good local restaurants, and bottled water was unlimited. When we accidentally lost our room key while sightseeing, the owner didn't make a fuss or ask for compensation. The owner was very generous and kind; I would recommend her to anyone visiting the ancient city.

I'm a lazy person who rarely writes reviews, but this time I was deeply moved by the owner and his family. Even the cleaning lady was so friendly and lovely. It truly revitalized my solo trip to Jianshui. The hotel is perfectly located, away from the hustle and bustle, yet very close to the train station and the ancient city—just over a hundred meters away. There are many traditional rice noodle shops just outside the door, so you can leisurely fill your stomach before heading out to explore. When I was going to and from the station, the owner drove a tricycle to the intersection to pick me up, worried about the inconvenience of lugging my luggage, even though it was only a few steps away. In the morning, when they saw me in the room, they asked if I wanted breakfast (my reservation didn't include it). I had already eaten, but the owner insisted on giving me an egg for protein and a box of brown sugar before I left. The ladies said they'd come back next year, and I replied, ”I'll be back in two months!” ❤️ I'm from the north, and this family is so gentle and polite. The entire inn is elegant and grand. The two-story courtyard is surrounded by bougainvillea, where you can swing on the swings, watch the moon, drink tea, and chat—it's so relaxing. The interior is on par with a four-star hotel in the city, with separate wet and dry areas, disposable towels, and brand-new hard and soft furnishings. The air is also very airy. I don't like old, dingy hotels, so this truly felt like home! Thank you again to the owner for his thoughtful hospitality. I really liked the B&B during the entire trip. It was clean and sanitary, the bedding was comfortable, the environment was elegant, and the boss was very nice. It is located in a small alley in the ancient city, quiet in the bustling city, and very close to Dabanjing. My children fetch water for me to make tea every day. I can feel the slow life in the ancient city very well. I especially like rainy weather. I can watch the rain under the corridor in the yard, drink tea and eat some fruits. Next time I come to Jianshui, I will stay here again.

The hotel is very well located in the old town, the rooms are big and nice and the bed is perfect! The 2 ladies managing the place are so friendly and nice to us. When we arrived, one of the lady gave us steamed sweet potato, an orange and some tea and we stayed for an hour eating with her. They don’t speak English but are incredibly helpful when we were using our translation app.

We also feel that we should not embarrass him. He asked us to go to the public health on the first floor to wash up , Only the first floor has hot water. We have a lot of luggage. We have already moved to the room, so we don’t want to change the hotel. The quadruple room is a layer built on top of the old house. The stairs are very steep and narrow. This room type is for two elderly people in our family. They are nearly 70 years old and have two children. Therefore, our people choose not to wash their faces, wash their faces or take a bath. There is a B&B outside the west gate of Jianshui Ancient Town. Take 919 or K919 from the train station and get off at the terminal Yishuanglou Station.
