An unexpectedly amazing stay! I booked two nights, and on the first night, our driver suddenly couldn't drive us. The owner, upon hearing this, was incredibly thoughtful and personally drove me to pick up my friend, who was staying at the end of the village, so we could all play with the hotel's snow tubes. He even took us to a secret spot to sled down a snowy slope and stargaze. After playing, when we got back, he specially prepared warm roasted sweet potatoes for me and even for my friends who weren't staying at the hotel! He was worried that my friend wouldn't have an easy way back to their guesthouse at night, so he even drove them there. Every day, he'd bring us tons of special snacks (even for my friends!). The guesthouse itself is newly renovated and is the first one at the new village entrance. The appliances are well-equipped (including an automatic heated toilet and a washing machine). On check-in day, the owner thoughtfully explained how everything worked. You can see beautiful sunsets right from your room, and from the courtyard, you can spot the distant Guan Yu Tai (Fish Watching Platform). On check-out day, we left too early and missed the roasted sweet potatoes the owner had specially prepared, haha. I'll definitely stay here again if I get the chance! I hope to see the owner's cute dog next time!

The homestay booked this time really didn't step on the thunder and was very satisfied. The first feeling when I entered the door was clean and hygienic, and the bedding and bathroom were spotless. Live comfortably, the service is also intimate, will come again next time!

The room was excellent, with windows directly overlooking the woods, offering a truly beautiful view. It was a split-level room, ensuring high privacy, and came fully equipped with all necessary toiletries and 24-hour hot water, making for a very comfortable stay. I had looked at many guesthouses in Hemu and selected this one because it was affordably priced and boasted a beautiful setting. My stay here absolutely confirmed it was a great choice. The owner and all the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, practically granting every request. The restaurant's food was very good, catering well to mainland Chinese palates, and the dining environment was also very pleasant. This is definitely a place I would choose to stay at again on my next visit to Hemu.

Amazing hostel! Located conveniently. Yes on the pricier side but that is just the norm in Hemu village. For that price you get a great coffeeshop thats part of the hostel with some of the best staff I’ve met on my travels that gives a real sense of community and home. Always friendly and extremely helpful. The owner is also involved and shows genuine care for the operation, guests and staff. As close to a perfect hostel experience as you can get! Highly recommend this to all looking for a place to sleep in Hemu village or when visiting the ski resort.

Place is reasonably clean with friendly staff. Hotel is near the bus terminal and not too far from the various attractions around the city. Room heating is a bit weak as it uses a dual purpose heater/air conditioner. The water heater looks very high tech.

From the details of arrival to the bittersweet feeling of leaving, every aspect of this gem of a guesthouse makes me want to recommend it to the world! The owners are truly a ”perfect couple” in the guesthouse world! When I arrived by car, the owners were already waiting in the courtyard to help with my luggage; the courtyard was spacious and parking was very convenient. The owner's wife provided detailed information on nearby tourist attractions and even invited me to have tea at the front desk bar—her hospitality was exceptional! The guesthouse's location is incredibly convenient! It's less than a kilometer from the famous Hemu Bridge and Yuanjiang Bridge, just a few minutes' drive away. If you, like me, value cleanliness, this is a no-brainer. The room was spotless, and the bedding smelled of sunshine. I loved looking out at the snowscape through the window, and at night, sitting in the courtyard stargazing, the guesthouse's golden retriever, Moco, lay at my feet. You can even choose one of the two cats at the front desk to be your ”hand warmer”—it was so cozy! This stay redefined ”guesthouse” for me—not just a cold place to stay, but a travel destination brimming with warmth and human connection. If you're tired of the hustle and bustle of the city and yearn to find the true meaning of ”slow living” amidst mountains and rivers, be sure to come to Kai Men Jian Shan B&B and write your own healing story.

The room faces the Populus euphratica forest with snow-capped mountains behind it – the location is absolutely fantastic! The underfloor heating plus electric heating makes it a complete contrast to the cold outdoors, like a world of difference. The owner is very thoughtful, providing full guidance throughout our trip, which greatly enhanced our experience. This trip was definitely worth it!

The cabin we chose was amazing! It was spacious and cozy, with a beautiful little garden right outside the window. There were also market performances nearby, making it very convenient for food, accommodation, and transportation. The air was incredibly fresh, and it was so quiet at night you could hear the chirping of insects. The children slept soundly, and the adults could relax. It's super convenient for traveling with kids, and the value for money is excellent. I'll definitely stay here again! The staff were also very welcoming and the service was great.

The room was very clean and the neighborhood was very quiet. The forest view behind the room was very good. The boss was very good. He pointed us to where to eat and the taste was authentic, and also pointed us to where there were niche places to play nearby.

The room was clean and tidy with good natural light and ventilation, keeping the air fresh. The soundproofing was excellent, and the bedding was comfortable. All the facilities were quite new and worked perfectly. Its close proximity to the scenic area made our trip very convenient, enjoyable, and relaxing.
