"We stayed one night prior to joining a cruise ship. Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, looked modern and was clean.
The location is great. Just cross over and go through the park and it's a short walk to cafes, restaurants and bars. The pedestrian shopping area as well as shopping centres are easy walking distance."
"Can’t fault a thing, really lovely place to stay with little ones. They really looked after us with special touches, including a stunning play area and bedtime milk and cookies"

"This facility was a surprise in many ways. Across from the front of the hotel is a lovely little park. The check-in was easy (I could have even done an online check-in). The staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was a studio apartment, nicely furnighed. There was a sink, hotplate, micro, and even a dishwasher which was unexpected. I explored the surrounding neighborhood in several directions and found many places of interest. Some were historical, some were interesting ting eating & drinking venues It was not a long walk to the West Quay Mall for shopping or to the SeaCity museum. "
"I booked here last minute (on the day) due to an unfortunate experience at a near by guest house and boy am I glad I switched! Welcome drink on arrival; friendly staff, tea and coffee in the room, great smelling toiletries and a comfy bed. Exactly what I needed. Full review on my insta @comeflywithlucy"
"Charming little B&B in nice house. Continental breakfast only, no great variety but good. Rooms were nice and clean. It's in a residential area, 15-20 minutes walk to shops, restaurants etc."
"The check in process was very easy, just took us some time to find the place because we thought it is separated from the pub but the reception is actually right in it so just walk straight in! Room was very cozy and equipped, very thoughtful to provide us with all the basic amenities plus additional items such as water, beer, milk, chocolate, coffee for coffee machine and even a postcard! Staff was really friendly and helpful as well. The breakfast was also really amazing - you get to choose a main and a drink from their breakfast menu on top of a mini buffet spread that offered some really good pastries, salamis, cheese and more, so be sure to leave some extra time in the morning to enjoy it!
However, there was a club opposite the place that was opened slightly pass midnight when we were there and if you're a light sleeper be sure to pack some ear plugs to go to sleep early. One of the corners of the wall also had a slight mold issue because the condensation from the bathroom must have caused that in the long run but it shouldn't be a huge concern though it will be nice if that gets fixed!"
"Excellent hotel in a good place for our requirements. We ate there in the evening and the food was good for the price we paid. The breakfast in the morning was excellent a good range of items to choose from. Very pleased with the hotel in general. The staff were very helpful too."

Very Good
AAnonymous UserThis is probably one of the best hotels in the area. As it is newly built, the facilities are relatively new. The breakfast is quite rich by British standards. Although the location is not in the city center, parking is convenient. It is really good by local standards. It is just so-so by world standards. The attitude of the service staff is mixed, some are very enthusiastic, and some are very indifferent.
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay this weekend. The facilities exceeded our expectations – everything was well-maintained, clean, and thoughtfully designed to make guests feel comfortable and relaxed. The breakfast buffet was a real highlight, offering a wide variety of delicious options to suit every taste. From fresh fruits and pastries to hot dishes and beverages, everything was beautifully presented and replenished regularly. The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring our experience was seamless from start to finish. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’d happily recommend this hotel to others!
XX FengI recently stayed at Elizabeth House Hotel in Southampton and had a very pleasant experience. The building has a charming, traditional feel with well-maintained interiors that give it a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly, attentive, and happy to help with anything we needed, which really added to the overall experience.
Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely furnished, with all the essential amenities. The bed was comfortable, and we slept well each night. The breakfast was another highlight – freshly cooked and served with a smile. There was a good variety of hot and cold options, and everything tasted great.
The location is convenient – just a short drive from the city centre and the cruise terminal, with free parking on-site, which was a big bonus.
The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that some parts of the decor could use a bit of modernizing, and the bathroom in our room was slightly dated. However, everything worked well, and it didn’t detract much from the overall experience.
Would definitely recommend Elizabeth House Hotel to anyone looking for a friendly, comfortable, and reasonably priced place to stay in Southampton!
JJohnRLovely hotel, beautiful grounds. Feels like you're well outside Southampton but are only 15 mins away. (Daughter in Uni there)
Room was nice, we had exec but this isn't worth it to me. It only gives you a better coffee machine and we weren't in the room enough to use it. Save the £20.
No lifts so cases up to the third floor was a bit of a pain. If you're waiting for a ferry and have lots of cases then this could be an issue. We saw a few people struggle with this.
Breakfast was good, staff very friendly. We didn't eat there in the evening, burgers and chips sort of menu but the nearby pub, Chilworth Arms was really good.
The pool is great, small (16m) but very nice with jacuzzi, steam and sauna. Towels provided. Staff very friendly. Pool surrounding has quite slippery tiles though. Leisure facility is a bit away from the hotel, only 300 hundred meters from the hotel front but enough to need an umbrella if raining.
All in all, a good value pleasant hotel. Much cheaper than Leonardo's in Soton and still close to Uni etc.
AAsha RaniGreat location near the central train station and with a few food options from the local retail park nearby. Town centre also close by and great if driving with the road links. Rooms are fine for a one night stay as does the job. Basic and small, but clean and quiet. Breakfast includes bread for toast, jams, cheese and ham, pastries and cereal with alternative milk options. There’s a coffee machine and juice machine. Nice helpful, friendly staff.
GGuest UserI checked in at 3pm and the air conditioner did not work it was like a warm hairdryer. The temperature was 28c inside the room it was very hot a heat wave that day. I went down stairs and the reception was empty. I had to wait for 15 mins then
some one called raman eventually turned up and was uninterested to say the least. She told me that it could be controlled from behind the bar or something
like that but that is not true. I had to ask again 3 hours later this time she got some boy to come out from behind the bar to claim he had a control of all the
air conditioners in the hotel. Why the lies, after emailing trip .com they admitted the AC was faulty and I moved to another room. It was trip.com who helped me not the disinterested staff why didnt they move me the first time. Not impressed.
GGuest UserHonestly, I have been to many hotels around Birmingham and London, and I also work at multiple hotels as security. I have seen how they are from inside and outside, but trust me, this five-star hotel truly won my heart. The moment I entered, it gave me an old-fashioned feeling. The furniture was amazing, and the view was breathtaking. The ability to play YouTube and watch movies added an extra layer of comfort to my stay.
The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient. Opposite the hotel, there are many food shops, and we went around 7:30 PM for food, which I thoroughly enjoyed. McDonald’s is just two minutes away, and a beautiful beach side is within a five-minute reach. The combination of luxurious accommodation and strategic location makes this hotel an absolute gem.
Overall, my experience was extraordinary. The five-star hotel exceeded all my expectations, and I’m definitely booking this hotel again in the future. If anyone is interested in a truly remarkable hotel experience that combines classic charm, modern amenities, and a perfect location, I highly recommend visiting and seeing this exceptional hotel for yourself. It’s not just a place to stay – it’s an experience that will create lasting memories
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great, quiet location and it is a very beautiful building. The room was clean and pleasant, but it wasn't quite what I expected. Through Trip I thought I had booked one room up from the smallest option, but alas turns out I had not! The bed was also advertised as a standard double, it definitely is not in the smaller rooms, it is a small double, and this made sleeping for two a little uncomfortable. The room was also very hot even though we turned the radiator off and had the window open all night but I think this is just due to it being an older building, heat rises etc. The pool room really needs TLC. It is very overlooked and we felt really lets the hotel down. It's shame as it's a lovely space - even a quick lick of paint would bring it back to life if money doesn't allow for larger maintenance. Staff were all very friendly, especially the two we were served by in the restaurant for dinner. The food was okay but a little over priced but the service made up for that. All in all for a quick overnight stop it was fine.
