Amazing start to our Shanxi visit - despite freezing subzero weather, our hearts are warmed by our most welcoming and beautiful Ms Zhang, who single-handedly took on and resolved all our issues, always with a smile and utmost efficiency and diligence; from picking us up at the train station, making us warm fresh longjing tea and fresh fruits every night breakfast preparation, recommending a driver (Ms Guo) to maximise our time in Datong, recommending the best local restaurants (Fengling Restaurant is our favourite), assisting us with our laundry, taking us to the bank to exchange money. There’s nothing she cannot do! Most importantly she is so attentive to my elderly parents, especially my mum who has mobility issue- Ms Zhang drove us to and from the city and we are very thankful for her very warm hospitality. She went out of her way to make our stay so comfortable and on the last night, took us on a drive around the ancient city to absorb the night scenery. My mum thinks this is one of the best hotel she has stayed in. Comfortable bedding and beautifully designed and well-fitted out with Smart technologies. Most highly recommended!

Very satisfied, it should be a new store. When I booked the room, I saw few reviews and was a little hesitant. However, it exceeded my expectations by a lot. I particularly liked the loft style, which is simple and stylish. The layout is reasonable, there are two bathrooms upstairs and downstairs, and the price is also very good. The whole house is smart and fully equipped. The shower gel and other items are all from L'Occitane. The bed, bathrobe and slippers are all very comfortable. The geographical location is excellent, Wanda and Xijin Road are very close, and takeaway can be delivered to your door. There is also a pick-up service, which is about ten minutes' drive from the high-speed rail station, which is also very fast. In short, I am very satisfied. It is a super treasure hotel. I chose this hotel because it is just a twenty minute walk north of Datong South Station. It is right next to Fantawild amusement park, so is a good choice for families (Most of the guests were families with young kids). Everything inside the hotel is brand new. One of the hosts at reception was exceptional, and she not only offered wonderful device and care to me but also to every guest I saw her interacting with (I didn't learn her name, alas). One interesting note: I stayed there on a Friday and Saturday night, and there was a firework show on both evenings in Fanatwild next door. The booming sound startled me at first, but I quickly realized what it was.

The room was also very clean and the bedding was clean. Then there is food, the homestay is breakfast, breakfast nine grid, each is not much, but enough to eat delicious, the multi-grain package is especially delicious. Finally, the owner, the homestay is run by a young couple, everything is done by themselves, diligent and serious, and sincere and enthusiastic. Miao Yinyunshang should be one of the homestays that can leave me a good memory. Before I set off to Datong, I thought that Datong was just once, but in just two days, I experienced too many Datong people's sincerity, simplicity and enthusiasm. Almost everyone of them regarded themselves as the hospitable host of Datong. They treat every traveler here with the attitude and way of entertaining guests, so that you will definitely think about coming back next time. On the day of departure, the owner of the young man put down his busy work, sent me to the alley, waved goodbye, at that moment, I suddenly felt that this is not a homestay, this is a friend's home.

We booked three rooms in total. As the elders and children had different requirements, we adjusted the rooms after describing them to the boss. The boss and his wife were both warm and considerate. You can see that they put a lot of thought into the decoration and room configuration. The room was very big and very warm in winter. The side dishes made by the boss in the morning, including millet porridge and knife-cut noodles, were very delicious and warming, suitable for our family's appetite. The quality of the disposable items and toiletries in the room was very good, no less than that of a five-star hotel. As there were many of us, the boss came to pick us up. The location is also very good, right in the new B&B area behind Dai Wangfu, quiet and convenient. You can walk to the ancient city where there are many places to eat, drink and have fun. It is also very close to Dai Wangfu, Nine Dragon Wall and Yanhua Temple. I am very satisfied and may choose to stay here for a day next time I come.
