The room was spacious and comfortable, clearly decorated with great care. It's located in a newly built villa complex within the ancient city, spanning three floors from ground to basement. It offers a peaceful retreat while still being close to the central district – just a short walk away. The owner was very welcoming and provided pick-up and drop-off service, which was a warm touch when visiting a new place. Unfortunately, I caught a cold during my stay due to the dry weather and spent half my time resting at the guesthouse. The front desk lady even helped with my laundry, drying it and bringing it back to my room, which was a huge convenience. Plus, ordering takeout was super easy. Overall, it's a highly recommended place for accommodation and relaxation, as it has everything you need. Datong itself has a lot to offer, but unfortunately, due to my health, I only got to see the highlights: the grottoes and the wooden pagoda. It's a shame I couldn't get climbing tickets for the Hanging Temple; I'll definitely visit again next time.

The room was great, and the underfloor heating kept it very warm. The courtyard (siheyuan) is absolutely beautiful. The underground parking was also very convenient. The service was excellent. I didn't use my car for two days, so leaving wasn't the smoothest. I had to rush to Yungang Grottoes and left before 7 AM, getting a bit delayed at the entrance. The parking fee was 100 RMB (even though there was a free parking voucher, it didn't link successfully), but the owner paid it for me. This is a very responsible establishment, and both the owner and the housekeeper are wonderful. The location is super convenient, and the breakfast is incredibly delicious. Many thanks!

Very close to Parkson, the location is excellent, 200 meters from the hotel is the old wood cutting noodles, and there is an electric car for guests to rent at the entrance of the hotel, which is very convenient. Hotel breakfast until 11 o'clock, tastes good, suitable for tourists who like to get up late The room was very clean, especially the bathroom, separated from wet and dry, the bathroom was spacious and the hot water was very flush! The place is very clean, and the environment is really cozy, making for a very comfortable stay. The shower pressure is fantastic, I'm very satisfied, it's such great value! The staff (specifically, a young lady) was very welcoming and even thoughtfully prepared breakfast for us. Five-star recommendation!

This guesthouse boasts a wonderfully elegant ambiance and a truly superb location. Stepping out, you're right on Gulou East Street, perfect for exploring, and Southeast Yi is just a few minutes' walk away. Despite its bustling street location, the guesthouse's courtyard offers surprising tranquility. We slept soundly through the night and woke up naturally, completely undisturbed. The owner and the housekeeper were incredibly thoughtful and attentive. They were always ready to answer any questions, from before our arrival until our departure, and their responses were always very detailed. Every day, the housekeeper would kindly ask us what time we'd like breakfast the next morning, and at the agreed time, she'd even come to our room door to let us know it was ready. I absolutely adored it!!! If I ever visit again, I would definitely choose Yishui Street.

The location is truly unbeatable. It's inside the ancient city but not right in the middle, offering both convenience and peace and quiet. They even have their own underground parking, which is perfect for those driving. Getting in and out of the ancient city by car is a breeze with no traffic jams, and walking to the city center is super easy! The ambiance here is so charming and historic, it really sets the mood, and the courtyard is fantastic for photos. The service is warm and attentive, and the room was cleaned thoroughly every day. If I ever come back to Datong, I'll definitely choose to stay here again.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, close to the ancient city, with views of its night scenery from the rooms. There's ample parking, making it very convenient for those traveling by car. Plenty of dining options are nearby, perfect for exploring and eating. Both the front desk and room service were spot-on; they delivered a fruit platter daily and thoughtfully provided pear soup and a souvenir. The room was spacious, clean, and well-stocked with mineral water. Breakfast offered a good variety, with the knife-cut noodles and lamb offal soup being particularly delicious. It's a hotel with great value for money!

We had a happy experience checking in at this hotel. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. We loved our room! It was bright and cheerful and spacious. The shower and drainage was very good. Location is fantastic, near the railway station and many bus services, especially for going to Yungang grottoes. There was a mall, with a hypermarket in the basement and minimarts around. What we like most was there was a washing machine and dryer for guests to use, free of charge! If we ever come to Datong again, we would stay here. Highly recommend this place!

The surrounding life is convenient, but it will not be too noisy, and the rest is very quiet at night. Environmental facilities: I was deeply attracted as soon as I entered the door! The decoration is very distinctive, perfectly integrating classical Chinese aesthetics and modern comfort. The room was spotless, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and I lay on it to remove the fatigue of the journey. The facilities are full marks, high-definition projection, first-class quality toiletries, details can feel the owner's intentions everywhere. Warm service: The hospitality of the boss and staff makes people feel at home. The room introduced the play guide and food map, helping to book tickets, and saving a lot of worry. Featured experience: I have to mention the breakfast near his home! The authentic Shanxi characteristics are clean and delicious, and they are full of energy for a day of play. In short, Shengyaju is not only a place to stay, but also a good memory during the trip. Next time I come to Datong, I will definitely stay again and recommend it to all my friends without hesitation!

Extremely happy with my stay here! Room is very spacious and clean, and I was within walking distance to most of the attractions and restaurants. The staff here are very friendly and they always went out of their way to make my experience in Datong memorable! I'm especially grateful because the manager showed me how to order food from local restaurants using my phone and get it delivered straight to my room! 10/10!!
