Amazing start to our Shanxi visit - despite freezing subzero weather, our hearts are warmed by our most welcoming and beautiful Ms Zhang, who single-handedly took on and resolved all our issues, always with a smile and utmost efficiency and diligence; from picking us up at the train station, making us warm fresh longjing tea and fresh fruits every night breakfast preparation, recommending a driver (Ms Guo) to maximise our time in Datong, recommending the best local restaurants (Fengling Restaurant is our favourite), assisting us with our laundry, taking us to the bank to exchange money. There’s nothing she cannot do! Most importantly she is so attentive to my elderly parents, especially my mum who has mobility issue- Ms Zhang drove us to and from the city and we are very thankful for her very warm hospitality. She went out of her way to make our stay so comfortable and on the last night, took us on a drive around the ancient city to absorb the night scenery. My mum thinks this is one of the best hotel she has stayed in. Comfortable bedding and beautifully designed and well-fitted out with Smart technologies. Most highly recommended!

It has just been opened for a year and there is no formaldehyde. It is also very clean and tidy, and the bed is comfortable to sleep on. 2: The hotel is in a good location, in Gulou. It takes only a few minutes to walk to Gulou Food Street. Zini 369, Fenglin Pavilion, Longjuxiang, Xijin Road are all here. It is convenient for eating. 3: There is a large parking lot behind the hotel, which is really friendly to customers who drive by car. It is just right to park the car at the hotel and go to Gulou Food Street for dinner. But I personally still like Datong very much. It has a rich cultural heritage and has different scenery in all seasons. However, if you come to Datong in winter, you must wear more clothes. I heard that this year is a warm winter in Datong, but the temperature is slightly colder than Beijing. It is recommended to wear warm pants + long down jacket to prevent frostbite.
