Datong Inns

This is a gem in Datong. Really pretty place located in the old town just next to HuaYan temple. Short walk to the temple entrance. The owners are very lovely people, giving us a free upgrade on one of our bookings (3 children) so that they can have their own beds even though I offered to pay extra. The triple room is great size with a balcony! The double room is smaller, and both rooms even have high-tech toilets with remote control for bidet functions. They provide disposable items in the rooms as well if you prefer. What i love modt is the common area. There are birds and fish in the common area, which is a delight to the children. Xiaohui, the macaw will mimick some words of ours when we are not in sight! I have also developed ”my spot” on the rocking chair in the common area, just enjoying the tranquillity of the place. Really lovely and highly recommended accommodation in Datong!!

Two adults and two children traveled to Datong. They wanted to live together and find a place with convenient transportation. Finally, they chose the big kang room of Gujia Inn. Although the room is not big, the kang is really big. The four of us can sleep comfortably. I was worried about whether it would be cold before, but this worry was really unnecessary. There is a parking lot in front of the door. The Drum Tower is not far from the hotel. You can go shopping on the southeast side of the Drum Tower. There are many restaurants and snacks around. Huayan Temple, Dai Wangfu, and Nine Dragon Wall are also nearby. If you want to walk around the ancient city, the location of this hotel is really convenient. It's my first time here. The boss has prepared a map, and you can get one at the front desk. When I left the hotel, I was given Shanxi specialty old vinegar. I really think that the cost-effectiveness of tourism in Datong is really high👍

The hotel was very lovely and located in a very convenient area. Lots of famous restaurants around the hotel. The room was very clean and cozy, with a clean hot shower and smart toilet. Also, the staffs were very friendly and kind.

My family (2 adults and 2 teenagers) stayed at 陆合景客栈 for 2 nights when we visited Datong. The hotel was very beautiful, and the family room was excellent. The beds we comfortable, and the room was very well equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The hotel was very nicely decorated to match the atmosphere of the ancient city. I would like to especially give commendations to Ms 任红霞 and Mr 付强. Both of them provided exceptionally good service during our stay and made sure that all our questions and needs were fulfilled. They are exceptional staff of the hotel and I hope the hotel management rewards them for their hard work. Highly recommend this hotel to anybody who is looking for accommodation in Datong ancient city.

The biggest advantage of this store is of course its location, as it is located in the ancient city’s bell tower scenic area. When I arrived at the ancient city of Datong, I saw customers queuing up next to the hotel waiting for their number to be called at the internet-famous noodle shop ”Xijindao”, as well as the high-decibel noise of the surrounding shops using loudspeakers to attract customers. I suddenly felt a chill in my heart, and worried that I would not be able to sleep well in the next few days. Unexpectedly, after moving in, although the windows faced the downtown, the noise could not be heard as long as the windows were closed. The soundproof windows had a very high coefficient. I felt relieved immediately (in fact, the noise from the crowds died down after 9:30 pm). The sound insulation between the room next door is not very good, if the other party speaks loudly, we will hear it. Maybe the partitions in the old house can’t completely block it off! The store's service attitude is super good and super friendly. Because I was traveling alone, I originally booked the smallest room online, but the hotel took the initiative to upgrade me to a larger room. I am very grateful. Moreover, the staff at the counter are very friendly to the customers, just like the older brothers and sisters next door, and their enthusiasm is not at all pretentious. The facilities in the room are also very clean and generous, with great attention to detail. There is also a washing machine available on the first floor. At this price, it is very good. The downside for me is that there is no breakfast which is a little annoying. The restaurants nearby are all popular online restaurants in tourist attractions. The earliest one to open is ”Xijindao” at 7 o'clock, but it is not good to eat knife-cut noodles every day. It is difficult to have porridge, steamed buns, etc. for breakfast, as you have to walk to a residential area far away. Also, there is no larger supermarket nearby, so if you want to buy some fruit you have to go outside the scenic area. But this is a good thing but it cannot be fully enjoyed. After all, being able to take a walk in front of the Huayan Temple every morning or take a look at the tranquility and leisure of the Grand Mosque next to it are all worth it.

Traditional hotel located in Datong's hutong district, about a 5-minute walk from the Drum Tower. It's on a pedestrian street, so taxis don't reach the door (a 5-minute walk). The hotel has several courtyards and lounges (which are the bedrooms). Comfortable mattress, spacious bathroom, and quiet room. Breakfast is traditional Chinese, served from 8 to 10 (although they provide a takeaway if you need it sooner). They don't speak any English.

The courtyard is located in the ancient city of Datong. It is the first homestay in the ancient city. It is quiet in the bustling city. The courtyard is ancient and quaint. Every exhibit is a work of art. There is a wooden door from the Qing Dynasty in the courtyard. It is very comfortable to bask in the sun during the day and watch the stars at night. The room has its own floor heating, and the furniture is very ancient. In particular, the toiletries are of high quality. Exquisite embroidered cloth bags and cloth slippers are also given as gifts, and the bedding is extremely comfortable. The breakfast is rich in variety and of high quality, and the coffee is particularly delicious. Finally, I would like to praise every staff member of the courtyard for their warm and thoughtful service. They also helped us arrange the popular 369 restaurant, which was full of sincerity. I will come again next time!

Great hotel with excellent, helpful, informative, English-speaking staff. Killer location in a quiet laneway just around the corner from all the action of the main food/shopping streets at the heart of the Ancient City. And the hotel is a beautiful space, very traditional and authentic. Hotel organised drivers for me to take me places outside Pingyao.

I went out and encountered a physiological period of pain. I chose a hotel nearby. I didn’t expect to meet a very gentle and considerate front desk sister. I kept helping me sort it out. I also filled two bottles of hot water for me to carry. In the afternoon, I also told me that the small skills allowed me to quickly eat the knife noodles with a lot of rows on the opposite side. I don’t forget to give me hot water at night, it’s really caring. Of course, the hotel's hardware facilities are also very good, just in the ancient city, a few hundred meters away from Huayan Temple, the clock tower, the big mosque, you can also visit the ancient city at night, the environment is antique, the health is also very clean

Very nice stay directly in the heart of the old City. You can easily take Bus 38 in front of the hotel to the Yugang Grottoes. The hotel itselfbis very roomy with big bathrooms and a inner courtyard. Everything was very clean and had a nice charme. The bed is very big but a little on the hard side. The shower was fairly good and they have a japanese toilet. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
