GGuest UserThe JI Hotel Dayou Plaza branch boasts excellent facilities and a pleasant environment. The staff are also very polite, and the service is exceptionally attentive.
After experiencing the room facilities, I feel some improvements would make my stay even more satisfying.
1. The only ceramic cups in the room were for brushing teeth or rinsing. For regular drinking, there were only two paper cups and a small tea set. The cups were quite small, which made drinking water inconvenient. It would be much better if the paper cups were replaced with ceramic ones.
2. It would be significantly better if the lights in the toilet and shower area were not connected to the vanity lights outside. Sometimes, children go to bed earlier, but if parents need light to shower, they have to turn on the vanity lights as well, which can disturb those who are sleeping. This design feels a bit inconsiderate.
3. The water pressure in the shower was a bit too strong. The faucet design was poor; to get hot water, you had to turn the handle far to the left, which resulted in very high pressure. If you didn't turn it that far left, the pressure was fine, but the water wasn't hot enough. This design was quite frustrating.
Finally, I must give a huge shout-out to the hotel's buffet breakfast. It was truly excellent! There was a wide variety of options, including various noodles, fruits, stir-fried dishes, cold appetizers, bread, and much more. The selection was abundant, and the supply was plentiful. I stayed for two nights, and the hot dishes at the buffet breakfast were mostly different each day, which was a very nice touch.
I would definitely consider staying at JI Hotel again.

GGuest UserThe highlight of our trip was definitely our stay at this guesthouse. Every single detail was impeccably handled. The guesthouse was spotless and well-maintained. The customizable breakfast was delicious, creating such a cozy atmosphere that we almost didn't want to leave at all. And the location? Absolutely unbeatable! Situated right in the heart of the ancient town, it's a peaceful oasis amidst the lively surroundings. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

PPSOCWe were warmly greeted by friendly staff upon arrival, making us feel welcome right away. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and the team went the extra mile to help us register on their app as we are foreigners, ensuring we could easily access Wi-Fi and contact them if needed.
We had called ahead to request a humidifier and air purifier, and were pleased to find them already prepared in our room when we checked in. The room itself was spacious, impeccably clean, and very comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure, and the inclusion of an electric toilet with a heated seat was a thoughtful touch, especially during the winter season.
Throughout our stay, every staff member we encountered was genuinely helpful and sincere in their service, always making sure we were well taken care of. We initially planned to stay from 6/12/24 to 8/12/24 but felt so at home that we decided to extend our stay for an additional two days.
A big thank you to the team at Mecure Hotel for their exceptional service and attention to detail. Me and my Husband had agreed this is best hotel in our 17 days China trip. We had a fantastic stay and look forward to returning in the future. Great job!

LLiappleThe family suite is very large and bright, and the bedding is clean and comfortable. A family of three traveled during the National Day holiday and was very satisfied with the stay. The staff were very nice and friendly. The breakfast in the restaurant was affordable and the knife-cut noodles were delicious. Both ground parking and underground parking are free. It is within walking distance of Mingtang Park and Beichao Art Museum. It is not far from the ancient city. We arrived in the afternoon of the first day. We were afraid that it would be difficult to park in the ancient city, so we parked the car at the hotel. It was also very convenient to ride a shared bicycle to go there.

I always enjoy my breakfasts at Hilton Hampton. Front desk was polite and helpful in suggesting places to eat and visit. The room is a tad hot during winter as it’s centralised aircon. We opened the window for some ventilation. As the air is dry in Datong, i like the fact that they provided a humidifier in the room. Great 2 night stay.

Very ok! As someone who has high requirements for a hotel, I think this hotel is OK. It's not far from the high-speed rail station and takes a 10-minute taxi ride to Xincheng.

We booked two rooms, one of which was adjacent to the inner courtyard, and our elderly guest noticed a slight odor, so the housekeeping manager immediately arranged for a replacement. The hotel is located within Datong Ancient City, within walking distance of several major attractions. The room was quiet and clean, with comprehensive amenities and smart controls. The breakfast was exquisite and promptly replenished. The staff was attentive and courteous. The front desk representative, Cheng Zipo, was especially patient in handling all inquiries and invoice requests. The service was excellent and highly recommended!

LLaofu1. I booked a room for two days, but I didn't expect that I needed to cancel one day of accommodation because I neglected to book the Yungang Grottoes tickets in advance. The hotel was very understanding and allowed early check-out, which was very humane.
2. It can be said that the high-rise hotel closest to the ancient city of Datong in the south can indeed see the ancient city wall. It is only about fifteen minutes' walk away, so it is not far.
3. The hotel service is very good. Whether it is hotel supplies or millet porridge for midnight snack, they are all delivered enthusiastically.
4. The ground parking lot is a little crowded, but as for the underground parking lot, it is no problem for small cars, but for a 7-seater commercial vehicle, you need to choose a good location, otherwise it will be difficult to drive out. Parking is still very convenient.

2205853****I highly recommend the Datong Hotel VIP Building. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the service is professional, and its location is convenient for getting around. We booked an Executive View Room, which offered stunning night views of the ancient city. The front desk staff also kindly helped us arrange transportation for our outings, which we truly appreciated.
Initially, we were hesitant to book this hotel due to some negative reviews on Ctrip. However, on our second night, we decided to give it a try, reasoning that it's an established and trustworthy brand. We were absolutely delighted with our stay after checking in!
There were a few minor shortcomings, which I already discussed with the front desk during check-out. I hope the VIP Building continues to improve!
I look forward to my next stay.
