As a chain brand under InterContinental, the quality is definitely up to standard. While it's not directly next to a subway station, its location offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle, and getting a taxi is incredibly convenient. The surrounding area also boasts numerous local eateries, offering delicious and affordable food. You can even cross the pedestrian bridge to explore the 'urban villages,' which offer a unique taste of Shenzhen.
If you have the option, definitely go for a golf course view room – the scenery is absolutely breathtaking!! Just a heads-up, you might want to avoid the top floor, as swimmers occasionally floating past can be a bit... odd. (The pool isn't managed by the hotel, but there's direct elevator access).
The biggest pleasant surprise was breakfast! The noodle station alone offered so many customizable combinations. If you can handle spice, you absolutely must try the mixed noodles – the chef's craftsmanship is superb!
Finally, a huge shout-out to the front desk service. It wasn't the typical 'professional smile' you sometimes get at star hotels; instead, they were genuinely swift, perceptive, and highly efficient in resolving any concerns, making the entire experience incredibly comfortable!! This truly embodies the 'Shenzhen spirit'! I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

the room and toilet looks a little old. The toilet bowl is converntional not the auto flush and wash backside type. The front desk is extremely helpful though. The breakfast is not fastastic better to do without. Missed going, walked passed without realising to my room several times. There is a massage parlour on the 5th floor providing some relieve. A small discount when you told them recommended or introduced by the hotel.

The Manager and the receptionist are extremely accommodative and thoughtful. Very forth coming to help. The biggest strength to the hotel.
Very comfortable stay. 3 hr laundry service is excellent for quick business travellers and short stay.
Only limitation was low cell phone signal coverage and patchy Internet speed.

My recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express Shenzhen Guangming truly exceeded my expectations! The location is very convenient, not far from Guangming Science City and the subway station, making it easy to get around by taxi or public transport.
While the room wasn't exceptionally large, the layout was incredibly efficient, with ample storage space. It was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was so comfortable I never wanted to get up! The hot water in the bathroom was instant, with perfect water pressure. The toiletries had a fresh scent and were very pleasant to use. The hotel also has a gym, which was very convenient for exercising.
The biggest highlight was breakfast! The variety was exceptional, offering both Chinese and Western options. The noodles were absolutely delicious, and the fruit was very fresh. I left feeling completely satisfied and ready to start my day.
The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out were both quick, and they thoughtfully provided recommendations for nearby attractions, which I found very welcoming.
Overall, the value for money is excellent. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Guangming, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

This was my first stay at a Holiday Inn. The room was a bit small, and the cleanliness was just okay. On the upside, the breakfast offered a good variety. This hotel is perfect for family stays. The rooms are spacious, the amenities are comprehensive, and the staff are incredibly warm and thoughtful. Its location is super convenient, being close to Sun Yat-sen University, Shenzhen Institute of Technology, and Guangming Farm, plus it's just a 12-minute drive to the Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum. The breakfast, while having a 'business' feel and perhaps not a huge variety, truly excels in quality. I highly recommend the Roujiamo – it's fantastic!
A quick heads-up: if swimming is a must for you, you'll need to book the Yiheng Hotel. Both properties share the same owner, front desk, and breakfast facilities, but the pools are separate. I was a little disappointed not to get a swim in this time, but I'll definitely plan for it on my next visit, haha.
Overall, for a short family weekend getaway, I personally find this hotel to be an excellent choice.
