Hi, we are Malaysian guests. Homestay is very strategically located inside Dukezong Ancient City. easily accessible by car. No need to drag luggages like other ancient city.just about 2-3minutes to the City Square(where you can see group of people dancing) and near to Guishan Park where the Dafo temple located. Homestay owner is very welcoming and friendly. upon our arrival, owner offered to walk us around the city. He also offered us candies and made us chinese herb tea and tangyuan as he said its the culture at the beginning of winter. room is very clean, well equipped complete with bed and floor heater. Owner also offered drop off service to dali railway station for 60yuen at early morning 6.20am. overall we really recommend this stay and had enjoyable moment there.

We had a wonderful stay at this B&B. The place is cozy, clean and very comfortable, but what truly made our experience special was the owner. He is incredibly kind and attentive, always checking in to make sure we were doing well. The owner also gave us helpful advice on what to avoid and how to make the most of our time here, which we really appreciated. Even though there was a bit of a language barrier, the owner made every effort to communicate with us, even using WeChat to make things easier..His genuine care and hospitality made us feel very welcomed, almost like staying with family. Highly recommended!

We had such a great time staying here! The host was warm, genuine and always ready to help with anything we needed, it felt like a home away from home. Will definitely come back if we’re in Shangri-La again 😁

The room was fantastic—huge, clean, and equipped with everything you could need, and more. The owner was incredibly welcoming, always smiling, and even drove us to the train station on our last day. The location was perfect—very close to the ancient town yet still peaceful. Plus, it’s just 100 meters from a coffee place that served the best coffee we had during our trip to China. All in all, we truly enjoyed our stay! I only have good things to say about this place. I would definitely recommend it and would love to come back!

I ‘d really like to recommend this hotel to those who want to visit Shangri-La .The hotel is fully equipped with excellent facilities.Sometimes I thought they gave much more than other 5 star hotels I’ve stayed. Besides the hotel owner is very friendly.He’s so caring and helpful . The location is very convenient. You can walk to the ancient city right outside. The yard is also very comfortable and parking is convenient. The boss is warm and lovely. He also gave us a small gift before leaving. It made us feel the warmth of friends while we were away from home♥️

Arriving in this place lacking in oxygen but lacking in faith, the host was very welcoming and warm, making us feel welcome. He also reminded us not to shower on our first day to avoid altitude sickness. The host personally picked us up from the station for our group of five, and we could also hire his car to take us to other attractions, which was very convenient. The B&B is located in Dukezong Ancient Town. The family room was spacious and comfortable. We arrived early in the morning, and our child was feeling a little unwell. After the previous guest checked out, the hostess cleaned up and let us move in to rest. There are many restaurants nearby, and the yak beef is delicious. The B&B is also close to the entrance of the ancient town, so it's accessible by car. The B&B has a small courtyard with flowers and plants, and you can use the kitchen for free. The host drove us to the market near the ancient town to buy groceries. We bought some fresh mushrooms and cooked our own meals. The host is also very funny and a great dancer. Every evening, Sifang Street hosts a local dance performance, which is very entertaining. The host is one of the dancers leading the group, and he dances beautifully. We joined in the fun, but be careful not to overdo it to avoid altitude sickness. Highly recommended!

The boss is super nice. He not only took me and my friend to dance, but also took us up the mountain to pick mushrooms. Hahahaha, we had tea and chatted in the evening, and he sent us to the high-speed rail station before leaving. He is really nice! The room is super clean and has no odor! It is spacious and bright, with good lighting. The key is that the room is large and comfortable. The bedding and toiletries, including the toilet and bathroom, are very good. I stayed comfortably for three days. It is really a treasure shop. I will look for this one next time I come. I highly recommend it!

I forgot to take pictures, but I highly recommend this B&B. The owner contacted me a day in advance to arrange a pick-up time, and even dropped us off at the airport when we left. It's very close to the old town, but not in the heart of the city, so the area is quiet. The owner is very friendly and attentive; you can meet him for tea and chat, or go to the square in the evening to watch him dance.
