Regent Hotels in Shanghai

My first stay at a Regent hotel, an IHG property, turned out to be a wonderful surprise! We had booked a Club Twin room but were complimentary upgraded to a one-bedroom suite for two nights. The suite was incredibly spacious, you could practically play hide-and-seek in it! The minibar was also exceptionally well-stocked; in addition to snacks and beverages, they even included a complimentary bottle of red wine and sparkling wine – a truly delightful and unexpected bonus! Our guest relations specialist, Doris, with her sweet voice, called us a day before our arrival to confirm and had already prepared children's amenities for us. She also gave us a warm welcome as soon as we arrived at the hotel. Guests staying in Club rooms have access to an exclusive Executive Lounge, where we enjoyed both breakfast and afternoon tea. It was never crowded, offering a peaceful experience. The swimming pool boasted incredible, unobstructed views, directly overlooking the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Overall, we had a superb experience, and I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Lujiazui!

Before our check-in, the hotel called, thoughtfully inquiring if we had children and mentioning they would prepare kid-friendly amenities. Unfortunately, these seem to have been overlooked upon our arrival. The lobby's air conditioning was incredibly powerful; it felt quite chilly stepping in from the summer heat. We received a complimentary room upgrade, which was a nice gesture. However, upon arriving at 3:20 PM, we were informed our room wasn't ready and had to wait until 4 PM. While we waited, they offered us complimentary drinks. We ordered three, but were then informed that only two of them would be on the house. The balcony offered a fantastic view, and the hotel boasted an impressive design aesthetic. The pool staff were very attentive, and the kids absolutely loved the warm soaking pool.
