Ibis Hotels in Shanghai

I feel that the hotel is very old, the room is small, and the lights in the toilet are relatively dim, but it does not delay its excellent location and has a relatively cost-effective price. It is just one street away from the Temple of the City God, and it is very comfortable to walk around after dinner in the afternoon.

Ibis hotel has great location that I can access the metro line 9 Fangdian Station with less than 10 mins walk. Fangdian Rd Station also just several stops away from the Longyang Rd Maglev train which only takes 8 mins to the Pudong International Airport. The reception staff were friendly and professional. The check-in and check-out went very smoothly every time during my stays. The room cleanness was also great. I had no any problem with it. The water-pressure of the shower was also very good which was better than most of other hotels I stayed with before in Shanghai, where low water-pressure sometimes was really an pain. Another highlight of the hotel is it's breakfast which has variety of choices, including Chinese and Western. Fresh veggies and fruits were provided everyday. Plus, with 4 washing machines and four drying machines, I did get my dirty clothes washed and dried in two hours without any waiting time. However it had some weakness, the noise cancellation of the walls and doors seemed not very good. If you need a good rest, preparing your own noise-cancelling earplugs might be a good idea! Overall, it still was a very pleasant experience with my stays here at Ibis.

Location is near Shanghai Jiatong University. Outside the hotel is street with small shops, restaurants, coffee shops, fruit shops, convenient store, starbuck, prims banquet, local snack. The room size is adequate it is, clean, compact and all staff is nice. There is laundry and dryer mesin free to use. But distance to metro stations it is a bit far for people who like to walk, it is about 600m.

I stayed in this hotel on Nov. 9. It's a really nice hotel; super clean and super quiet which were exactly what I wanted. Plus, the room was quite spacious. I had my laundry done in this hotel as well. The staff were very friendly and I definitely will consider this hotel in the future.

Close to the walking street if that's your preferred choice, staff only speak Chinese, one or 2 maybe have a little foreign language within them so use a translation app, the breakfast is based mainly on Chinese cuisine, it's clean and get what you expect for a budget hotel, if this is the area you are looking for I would recommend it and I will use it again without hesitation

A very relaxing and comfortable experience stayed in Ibis hotel near Shanghai Hongqiao station. The room is well maintained, clean and tidy. We love the foods, breakfast are healthy and delicious. Receptionist are easy to deal with. Foreign guests are very welcome here in Ibis hotel. Food is ❤️ Room is ❤️ Staff is ❤️ Ibis hotel is ❤️💯🤩

Pros ：price is very affordable, laundry facilities is a big plus, hotel just situated next to the metro exit, rooms are clean. Cons ：you hardly find any local eateries around except for some fast food like macdonald, especially in the morning. If you need to go to the bund or Nanjing road you need to take the metro but it is not a direct line. Overall the hotel is still considered a good one.

I had a great stay. The early check-in is a real blessing. Only 10 min walking from the metro station. The room was good and clean. Breakfast was Chinese but still delicious.

Check-In Arrive early. They let us into the room slightly earlier 🙏🏽Staff at the counter very young friendly & genuine with help. Used translation app most times. Breakfast Decent. Some rotation of variety. Good service by the aunties here. Western: Cornflakes, Bread, Sausages, Eggs Chinese - Dumplings, Noodles, Rice, Sweet Potatoes Amenities Yes: Toothbrush/Paste, Shampoo (No conditioner), Body Wash, Mineral Water, Hairdryer No: Fridge Convenience Store Just beside hotel well stocked convenience store. Beside Novotel another “Family Mart” Near Costco Hypermart, but unable to buy they need a membership. Transportation 10 mins straight walk to Metro. RMB5 to the Bund & RMB3 to Disney Resort/way. One Easy Transfer. Used Alipay. Can activate ticket card on app. If got young kids put them on a debit card with local bank & activate. RMB70 to pudong Airport / RMB20 to Disney Resort From Disney Resort we took a metered taxi from stand RMB25 (Fares generally higher at night) After first drop off from airport. Tho first drop off if got luggage just key in as Ibis but tell next to Novotel. We just keyed in Novotel Clover on all Didi / Taxi bookings then walked across. Others Alipay - Booked Didi, Currency exchange rates, Translation - Papago. Worked well with SG roaming no local number. Used Singapore Data Roaming to access all apps. Have lots of data. In a place that speaks so little English u need yr apps like google map, etc Ibis wifi (worked well) but if no Mandarin get lost. Spotify worked, tho all else what’s app Tik Tok Insta, Google drew a blank.

The room is simple, comfortable and clean! The guy at the front desk is very helpful. Once you join the membership, you will be immediately upgraded to a double room! It's close to the subway station, just 10 minutes' walk away! It’s only 15 minutes away from Tianlin shopping district! The breakfast is also very delicious, with Western, Chinese and dim sum options🈶! When ordering takeout, a robot will deliver the food to your door, so you don’t have to go out to pick up your food! So considerate!
