Ibis Hotels in Shanghai

Considering Shanghai's prices, this hotel offers excellent value. The room was clean and quite spacious. The only minor issue is its proximity to the airport, which resulted in some occasional airplane noise in the evenings. However, this typically quieted down significantly after 10:30 PM. The hotel thoughtfully provided earplugs, so it wasn't a major disturbance. The breakfast was varied and very good.

We were a party of four: myself, my two children, and my mother. When booking, I specifically requested a high and quiet floor. We were given a room on the 12th floor with two beds, and the window overlooked a school playground, which was blissfully quiet during the summer holidays. Breakfast was included and incredibly generous, offering a fantastic mix of Chinese and Western options. There were stir-fries, fried dishes, freshly prepared items, fruits, drinks, milk, soy milk, eggs, cakes, bread, salads, and more. They were also very quick to replenish dishes on the buffet. Considering its location in economically developed Pudong, this hotel offers excellent value for money! While the room size was average, it was very practical. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower room, though a bit compact, had excellent water pressure, and there was convenient counter space around the sink for toiletries. With three elevators, waiting times were minimal. The laundry room was well-equipped; the washing machines are front-loading washer-dryer combos, with separate dryers available on the upper level. Cotton clothes dried in about 20 minutes on high heat. They even provided clean laundry bags and complimentary sewing kits. Upon entering the hotel, guests can enjoy a variety of complimentary infused waters. In the evenings, several types of congee are also offered free of charge. The staff, though seemingly young, were incredibly enthusiastic and helpful. The front desk, in particular, was exceptional – they were always ready to assist and acted immediately on any request, which was truly commendable.

This place is clean and smells good, the room is very spacious and clean! I like this place because it’s quiet and I was able to rest after a long day. It’s also easy to order in food from outside and order things from taobao. Breakfast tastes good. I appreciate that there is a laundry room and steam to iron clothes.

Location is near Shanghai Jiatong University. Outside the hotel is street with small shops, restaurants, coffee shops, fruit shops, convenient store, starbuck, prims banquet, local snack. The room size is adequate it is, clean, compact and all staff is nice. There is laundry and dryer mesin free to use. But distance to metro stations it is a bit far for people who like to walk, it is about 600m.

Check-In Arrive early. They let us into the room slightly earlier 🙏🏽Staff at the counter very young friendly & genuine with help. Used translation app most times. Breakfast Decent. Some rotation of variety. Good service by the aunties here. Western: Cornflakes, Bread, Sausages, Eggs Chinese - Dumplings, Noodles, Rice, Sweet Potatoes Amenities Yes: Toothbrush/Paste, Shampoo (No conditioner), Body Wash, Mineral Water, Hairdryer No: Fridge Convenience Store Just beside hotel well stocked convenience store. Beside Novotel another “Family Mart” Near Costco Hypermart, but unable to buy they need a membership. Transportation 10 mins straight walk to Metro. RMB5 to the Bund & RMB3 to Disney Resort/way. One Easy Transfer. Used Alipay. Can activate ticket card on app. If got young kids put them on a debit card with local bank & activate. RMB70 to pudong Airport / RMB20 to Disney Resort From Disney Resort we took a metered taxi from stand RMB25 (Fares generally higher at night) After first drop off from airport. Tho first drop off if got luggage just key in as Ibis but tell next to Novotel. We just keyed in Novotel Clover on all Didi / Taxi bookings then walked across. Others Alipay - Booked Didi, Currency exchange rates, Translation - Papago. Worked well with SG roaming no local number. Used Singapore Data Roaming to access all apps. Have lots of data. In a place that speaks so little English u need yr apps like google map, etc Ibis wifi (worked well) but if no Mandarin get lost. Spotify worked, tho all else what’s app Tik Tok Insta, Google drew a blank.

The surroundings are peaceful and pleasant. Convenient, free on-site parking is provided; just remember to use the hotel's private spaces and not the public parking outside. The front desk and floor staff are courteous and polite. The lobby offers several comfortable seating areas for guests to relax or meet. The rooms are clean, with effective air conditioning and spacious bathrooms equipped with a bidet toilet. The subway, bus stops, and a supermarket are all within a 15-minute walk.

overall experience is good, hotel very closed to metro station. Beside the hotel has McD, Lawson Mini Mart, Subway cafe. But the best breakfast is the mini store selling finger food in front of the hotel. One thing that not so satisfied was the central controlled air conditioning, very warm for this season, until I sweat and can’t sleep at all , made have to open window and let cool air to blow in the room. But the front desk guy did apologized to me with sending some gifts & 1 month free upgraded Gold membership. 👍

The elevators have doors on both sides. The room was a bit cramped, and there wasn't enough space to fully open my suitcase, so I had to keep it on the floor. The room wasn't very soundproof, but most hotels aren't perfectly soundproof, though. On a positive note, the front desk service was excellent.

It's really nice to live in! This is a very cost-effective hotel in Shanghai during the National Day period. Sanitary and environmental services are particularly in place. The guys at the front desk are also warm and polite. The hotel has a robot that delivers food, which is very convenient. The staff are also very polite and don't make anyone feel uncomfortable. The transportation is very convenient, with convenience stores, subway stations and bus stations nearby. I will choose to stay here next time I come to Shanghai.
