The location is excellent! It's just a few minutes' walk to Zhujiajiao Ancient Town. Parking at the guesthouse was also very convenient. The owner was incredibly welcoming and hospitable, and their recommendations for places to visit were excellent. This is our top choice when visiting Dianshan Lake and Zhujiajiao. Highly recommended!

This guesthouse, which appears to be a villa hastily converted, felt quite new overall and featured nice quality furniture. However, there were several awkward or inconvenient aspects:
(1) The bed felt like it was just squeezed into the room and clearly didn't fit with the existing furniture. The wardrobe door was blocked, and there was no bedside table, making it inconvenient to turn off the lights.
(2) Breakfast was limited in quantity and not refilled once gone. It consisted of frozen buns (with thick dough), shumai (which I didn't get to try), eggs, corn, sweet potatoes (which were delicious), milk, and a daily stir-fried cold side dish.
(3) The room door had no lock, which made me worried about my belongings when leaving the room.
(4) The smart TV didn't come with any streaming service subscriptions, so we had to log in with our own accounts.

I was quite disappointed with this stay. Firstly, for the price I paid, I was surprised there wasn't even a TV in the room. Despite having several wardrobes, there wasn't a single hanger, so my clothes ended up piled on the sofa. The bathroom lacked a shower curtain, causing water to splash all over the floor when showering. To top it off, there was no anti-slip mat in the bathtub, and I nearly had a nasty fall. The toothpaste provided was clearly used and not a fresh, disposable tube, which is highly unhygienic. The power outlets had unstable voltage; my phone barely charged even after being plugged in for a long time. Although the property was said to have been renovated two years ago, there was a strong, pungent smell.

Everything about the stay was amazing, but the highlight was definitely the kind and welcoming “auntie” in the house. Even though she doesn’t speak English, she was always there to help and made me feel at home. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of traditional Chinese dishes, fruits, and vegetables. The hotel is just a 15-minute walk from the ancient town, which is very convenient. I would definitely love to come back!
