I recently stayed for 9 days at the Joya Hotel in Gubei, Shanghai, and had a great overall experience. The hotel is modern, elegant, and exceptionally clean. My room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, a stylish bathroom, and great soundproofing — perfect for resting after long days in the city. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help, even with limited English. The location in Gubei is fantastic — close to cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, and within walking distance to metro lines, making it easy to explore Shanghai. The area feels very safe and quiet, ideal for both business and leisure travelers. The daily housekeeping was consistent, and small details like free water and well-maintained amenities made the stay even better. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was important for work. Overall, Joya Hotel offers excellent value, comfort, and convenience — I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hôtel, clean and well located. Friendly services.
We didn’t try the breakfast though.
Highly recommend for short trip in Shanghai.
Note that the hotel is still pretty far from the center and various touristic areas.

The hotel upkeep is good. Use Shangxia toiletries and tea ware. Right next to a Japanese department store with lots of restart selections.

Nice hotel nearby a Shopping Center and a subway station. Rooms are comfortable and nice. The breakfast is poor. the quality is good.

Nice hotel with spacious room and good location. We received a breakfast offer - 3 days for Yen219 per person. Great price and the breakfast is good too
