The hotel is as described in the pictures advertised which depicts a clean environment with a lovely and prompt customer service. However, I wish they can do better with their breakfast menu.

It was peaceful in comparison to the hustle and bustle of central Shanghai. Service was average. The room smelled a little of smoke. For the price it was decent.

The hotel has a grand facade, the room is clean and hygienic, and the bathroom facilities are also complete. There is also a desk and a recliner, which is very nice! 🤦. I originally thought it was quite retro. I stayed there twice and thought it was okay. I decided to stay one more day before leaving on my last day. However, the room wasn't cleaned properly. There was a chewed betel nut in the corner... How unhygienic... I figured I'd just make do with it for one night. I asked the waiter to take care of it and then went to bed... The next morning, breakfast was truly disappointing... The vinegar was moldy. I told the waiter about it, but she put it back where it belonged. I was so 😵💫... I yelled at her that the vinegar was spoiled... She then took it to the kitchen, washed it, refilled the bottle, and put it back where it belonged... From now on, I'll just book a hotel without breakfast... This hotel's breakfast is so unhygienic.

I booked a hotel package during the Spring Festival and felt very good after staying there for a few days. This is a mid- to high-end hotel featuring coffee culture. As you enter the hotel lobby, you can immediately feel the strong European and American style, and the decoration and soft furnishings show exotic style everywhere. A hardcover book is placed in a prominent position in the guest room. It is "Ulysses", a famous work by Irish writer James Joyce, translated and published by the famous Chinese translators Xiao Gan and Wen Jieruo. Later, I accidentally saw this hardcover book in every guest room, and I was a little confused about its meaning. Fortunately, I had plenty of time and after a few days of observation, I found that many items in the hotel were printed with the "JAMES JOYCE" mark. Oh, James Joyce is the idol mark of the hotel. No wonder the restaurant is named Ulysses! This is truly a unique hotel!

Facilities: I booked this hotel because it was a four-star hotel and close to the highway exit, but I really don't know why this hotel deserves four stars... The shower head was broken and cracked.
