Allston Hotel (Xiamen Railway Station MixC Mall) Reviews

I stayed at Allston Hotel on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, and I want to give special thanks to the front desk staff who was working that morning. She was on duty from around 7 AM into the afternoon, and she was incredibly kind and helpful. Her professionalism, patience, and warm attitude made my stay much smoother. It’s rare to meet staff who are not only efficient but also genuinely caring. The staffs are friendly and even the cleaner offerings help to carry my luggage when she saw me carrying too many.

Stay here for one day as planned to depart to Quanzhou the next day. The location is excellent, which is close to Xiamen railway station, metro lines 1 and 3. WanXiang shopping mall is just nearby with lots of luxury brands. I really like the design of the room. In-room amenities are basic, and the bed is quite hard to sleep but nice for one night stay. Greatly recommend this hotel.

This hotel locates at a very convenient location, the Xiamen rail station (not the north station), the subway station, shopping malls and all kind of restaurants are close by within walking distance. When you arrive at the train station, take the north exit, walk a little bit to the left side and you will see a set of traffic lights with zebra crossing. Drag your luggage straight upon the street and walk for 10 to 15 minutes and you will see the hotel on the other side of the street. If you are looking for a clean room, clean washroom to rest without the need for a big swimming pool, this budget hotel is your choice. The front desk staffs are very friendly and helpful especially 黄亜风。 Appreciated her help. I will stay in this hotel again in the future. Two thumbs up to the staffs.

Great location. Very convenient to get walk around. There are plenty of restaurants around the corner, mixC is just opposite the hotel. Room just average. Breakfast not much choice, not recommended as there are plenty of choice around hotel.

GOOD LOCATION OF THE HOTEL, CLOSE TO THE SHOPPING CENTER AND ALSO NOT FAR FROM THE TRAIN STATION. THE ROOM I CHOOSE IS A ROOM WITH A LARGE PROJECTOR TV, ENOUGH FOR ENTERTAINMENT IN THE ROOM.

Good location

I rate 3/5 for cleanliness is because of the lack of smoke filter in the hotel. Once i turn on the aircond, the smell of smoke (cigarette) from other room get blasted into my room. Luckily i stayed when the weather was cool. I didnt turn on the ac and opened the window instead (we upgraded to room with windows with a small fee). The staffs are very kind and friendly. The amenities are good. There's seat warmer on the toilet seat. The room cleanliness (apart from the smoke) was actually fairly good. Soundproofing is 4/5. Not the best but Better than some hotels that i stayed at in the past few days. Location is exactly at the opposite of mixc & 8mins to xiamen station.

This place is convenient near 250m subway. There are many restaurants nearby

The hotel is nice and the front desk personnel are friendly. However, it's like an old 3-star hotel with limited amenities. Only a breakfast room with almost same food everyday. The name of the hotel is ALLston hotel and not Aiston Hotel. It's also quite a distance from the train station. If you are carrying a luggage, you have to cross 5 roads with 3 traffic lights.

Allston is a good sized hotel in a great location close to everything for people who like to be outside the hotel exploring than being inside. The rooms was larger than we expected and clean. From our first arrival there, the staff were very helpful and accomodating. It was our first time in China and the staff at Allston did their best to communicate with us even though we didn’t know any mandarin. The security uncle was so friendly and he was hospitable giving us tea on arrival and helped us with our bags and the wifi. Breakfast next day was in a small comfortable room on the 3rd floor with local healthy choices and it suited our tastes. The front desk girl and the lady and guy the next day were both so accomodating holding our bags after check out time  guiding us to places we can eat around the place and all around explain things to us through translation apps lots of sign gestures and lots of laughing with guests who knew a little English. We were very happy with our stay in Allston and it was really the people that made it wonderful.

Great hotel, super convenient location. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Great place to start your visit to Xiamen!
