Jinjiang Metropolo Shanghai Xintiandi Hotel

It's a nice hotel in a good location. Breakfast was fine. The lobby is neat and has a pet bird, so it looks good. The room was spacious and the bathroom was neat. I’m willing to stay again the next time I come back.

My girlfriend and I were overwhelmed by the strong smell of cigarette smoke. We could smell it immediately in the hallway and then in the room. I was nauseated by it. We asked to change rooms, and they put us on another floor. There was no smell. We accepted the room and went out, but when we came back the room smelled a lot. It was quite hot but our only choice was to open the window at night and turn off the AC. In the morning the room didn’t smell as much, but the bathroom smelled terrible. I think people are allowed to smoke in this hotel, so the ventilation has the smell. So that’s why the cleanliness is a low score, the air is polluted with cigarette smoke.
