The hotel is very beautiful and unique, clean room comfortable bed and special pillow, also with the booking comes a lot of services and gift, they provide a special meal dedicated for the guest, 20 min relaxation session and tea time with the master, here you can have unlimited high quality nespresso coffee, free facial masks, unlimited water bottle, the location is in the middle of city, we really had a good rest here and enjoy our honeymoon, its really something others hotels don’t offer, definitely will come back again.

This was a wonderful stay in the heart of Shanghai. The check-in was quick and efficient. Most importantly the room was super cozy, with a very comfortable bed and great shower. The electronic toilet was a nice add and the amenities in the room were top notch, included a coffee machine and a Dyson hair dryer. Very much looking forward to staying here the next time I’m in Shanghai!

The room had a great design and wasn't huge, but the bedding was very comfortable. The wet/dry separation in the bathroom was excellent, though the minimalist vanity made it hard to place toiletries and caused water to splash. The front desk staff were all very helpful. The Zen photo experience was a nice touch. We ordered the set meal with delicious ribs and roasted chicken, which could be delivered to our room. The hotel lobby was also well-designed. After check-out, we received a lovely-smelling essential oil. We could also store our luggage and relax in the lobby with takeout. It's a bit of a walk from the metro station; if you're coming from Hongqiao by subway, expect a decent trek after getting off. Overall, I'd still give it a five-star rating.

Hotel Review – 5 Stars
Location: Shanghai, China
I recently had the pleasure of staying at one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve visited in a long time during my trip to Shanghai. From the moment I arrived, everything about this hotel radiated quality and comfort.
The room was exceptionally clean, very spacious, and thoughtfully laid out, with modern decor that still managed to feel warm and inviting. Every detail, from the plush bedding to the well-appointed bathroom, reflected the hotel’s commitment to guest comfort.
The service was excellent across the board. The staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile and ensure everything was to our satisfaction.
Another huge plus was the location – very convenient and well connected, making it easy to explore the city while having a calm, luxurious retreat to return to at the end of the day.
I’ll absolutely be referring this hotel to many friends and would happily return myself. If you’re looking for a high-end stay in Shanghai that blends beauty, comfort, and service, this hotel is a perfect choice.

Let me start by saying: I'm deeply dissatisfied. I saw a five-star rating on Trip.com, but my actual stay fell far short of what that standard implies. For this price, there are many other hotels with more professional management. I also question Trip.com's rating criteria.
**Facilities:** The room size was one issue, but the bathroom vanity design was truly impractical. There was no space for common toiletries; they had to be crammed onto a tiny ledge. Furthermore, there was no waste bin near the sink, which was very inconvenient. When the overhead shower was turned on, water sprayed everywhere instead of coming down in a steady vertical stream. The room window had two or three panes, but the lock on one of them was broken. The sharp edges of the bed, combined with the narrow aisle, actually scraped a layer of skin off my leg, posing a safety hazard. And then there's the door: once opened, it wouldn't close automatically, unlike any other hotel door, which is another safety concern.
**Service:** On the first night of my stay, a Saturday, there was loud noise from downstairs until 1 or 2 AM, making it very difficult to sleep. It was then that I realized why there were two earplugs placed beside the bed. I wanted to change rooms, so I went to the front desk the next day. I was told that it was too late to change room status. My question then is, what if there were unavoidable issues like a leaky pipe, a power outage, or a door that wouldn't close? The front desk simply told me it would be 'better today' and that weekends are generally noisy. In reality, when I tried to sleep, I could hear every sound from downstairs perfectly clearly. I strongly advise light sleepers to avoid this place.
Not to mention, the cleaning staff would sit in public areas on their phones, and during breakfast, staff members would stand in front of the food chatting amongst themselves. The entire breakfast experience felt utterly disorganized and unprofessional.
**Positive aspects (though few):** The complimentary meal looked decent (though I won't dwell on the fact that I was initially told I could eat it before 6 PM upon check-in, only to be informed at 5 PM that the restaurant was already closed, and it was only delivered to my room after I questioned them). The location is between two metro stations, both about a 15-minute walk away, and it's quite a distance from the core commercial area of Jing'an Temple. If you're traveling with family members who have mobility issues, I'd suggest choosing a hotel closer to a metro station.
Finally, with the exception of a few proactive cleaning staff members who greeted me, none of the other hotel staff made me feel welcome. This really puzzled me; isn't a good service attitude the most fundamental professional quality for service personnel?
**Summary:** Having stayed in dozens, if not hundreds, of hotels both domestically and internationally, I rarely leave negative reviews unless I'm truly disappointed. Moreover, my own family operates a brand hotel under Jinjiang Group, so this stay left me profoundly disappointed. I hope the management genuinely commits to improving things, and I will also report this to the platform. This definitely does not meet the standard of a five-star hotel.

Great location in the heart of Jing’an and within walking distance of two temples. The bed was very comfy and the shower was very refreshing. Would definitely recommend to stay again!

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Ginco hotel. It is a very beautiful and it was along the Jiaozhou street which is peaceful and quiet. There were quite a lot food options too; we loved the Italian cafe right beside the hotel
During the check-in, we were offered an upgrade to a bigger room at a reasonable price which we accepted and it was the best decision made! The room was super huge and we really enjoyed our stay!
The front staff are very friendly and always greeted us when we walked past. Having food and online delivery is convenient as they have a rack near the reception for us to pick up our deliveries.
